My experience was half and half with Carvana. The first half which was the online portion went really smooth; was easy to submit paperwork and get approved and all that but the pick up and end result was not great. When I arrived at the Carvana lot for pick up I waited quite a bit for someone to help me (which is totally fine, it was busy and they didn't have many staff). Once I finally chatted with an associate there and things got moving and I was waiting for my car to come down and get finishing touches, the associate came back out and said there was an issue with my delivery and my car was in Colorado Springs. He went back into the back and remerged saying just kidding, my car is here but was labeled wrong, and hadn't been washed but the inside was clean. I said this was fine as I was already late to get back to work at this point. The associate drove the car up for me to take and on my way out I noticed two very noticeable chips in the windshield that this associate missed. As I was already late I drove away and called Carvana to see if they would fix the windshield as this was not something that was listed on the imperfections on the car before I bought it. Since the associated didn't catch the windshield damage I was told that this was no longer on them and I needed to pay to get the windshield fixed, which I then had Safelite come out and when they tried to fix the two chips the windshield cracked further so now I am paying for an entire new windshield on a car I bought without any windshield damage reported. The keys I was given for my vehicle are both very loose so you have to be very careful using them. I feel as Carvana did not disclose all of the things that were issues with this car and pretty much told me "now that it's in your possession you are S.O.L.". I wish I was given a little more help during this process. Thankfully a windshield fix and a trip to the dealership about the keys is really the only issue with the car and an easy fix but bummed either way with the way my pickup of the car went and things not being inspected correctly. read more

Post purchase issue support: Awesome. The 7 day return policy is a nice option. I had a slight electrical issue. They gave me a 2 day courtesy extention to handle the issue or grant me an exchange. The 14-day period is related to their CarvanaCare extended warranty coverage and the waiver of deductibles for in-network repair claims is a game changer. The In-Network (Big Brand Tire & Service) service facility was, you got it, they were "Awesome". A lot of dealship force you sign an "As Is Sale" waiver. Any problems you have to come out pocket to cover. Carvana covered everything. Vey satisfied with my 2015 Honda Pilot. And definitely satisfied with Carvana. Are they perfect, no. But they will work hard to make sure you are satisfied. read more

It was so easy I was skeptical throughout the process each time. Buying a car without driving it first is a pretty scary thing especially a hotrod. All and all it was 100 times better than sitting at a dealership for hours playing their haggle game. I have better things to do with my time. Look at the reviews on the Carvana Facebook page, that will give you a great idea of what you're in for. Yeah, I scored a Honda Pilot at a great price. I consider myself a winner because they documented the mileage incorrectly by 40,000. Yes, FORTY THOUSAND MILES. The car was priced for 85k miles, but in fact there are only 45k miles on it. Everything else about them sucks, so don't buy from them. They're hard to get a hold of, long long wait times. Yet they use automated calls to get your money. But no one will answer when you press 1 to process your payment. My car delivery was delayed 9 days and I was told by Amanda that they do not provide reimbursement for rental cars during that time. So it cost me several hundred dollars. When I got my car, it was delivered 1 hour late with a nail in tire, an empty gas tank, and had not been detailed. I called Carvana AGAIN. This time I talked to Dominic. He told me the would reimburse for my rental car, and they would send me checks for my inconvenience, and that they would correct the mileage discrepancy. The process of getting the car and the car itself were super easy. I love not having to spend hours in the dealership. I was only sad the car didn't fit in the vending machine. The part I don't love is the financing. They wouldn't work with my credit union, so I had to accept their crappy financing and then will have to refi with my bank. And Carvana's financing was an absolute nightmare. Despite me having one of the best credit scores you can have, and owning a Carvana financed car previously (that had a normal interest rate and I payed every month religiously without fail) they gave me the highest interest rate allowable by law. I called and asked them if this rate was real or if they hadn't hard pulled my credit yet, and they said yep, that's my rate. 21% interest when my bank would give me 6%. That's an ungodly rip off. The audacity of charging someone with nearly perfect credit that much interest, nonetheless any other human being is an absolute scam. Use Carvana for the process, but make sure your bank works with them before you obtain your loan, and do not use their awful and predatory financing. read more

At my appointment time a carvana representative came to my home, inspected my car then cut me a check. I signed a couple of papers and the transaction was compete. Does anyone's car ever show up on time? I get it, shipping things is not easy, not during these times but.... c'mon. You didn't know the day before it was scheduled to be delivered that the car was 3 states away? Build better processes, better technology. Better communication with your customers (like you say you have *eyeroll*) would go so much farther than the process I am currently in. I took time out of my work schedule and I assume I will have to do it again in order to get this vehicle. It's amazing seeing how many bad experiences people are having and then for that exact experience to happen to me. That is on me. I should have known better than to waste my time with Carvana. Buying a car sight unseen is just as horrible as you would expect. I had the car delivered, and made an appointment with the dealer to have it inspected first thing in the morning the next day. I got a call from the dealer a couple hours later with the bad news. The car had unchecked engine codes, failing front control arms, and a failing transmission. I immediately engaged Carvana to rememdy the problems. I spent a nightmare of the next 9 days with the warranty company dragging their feet to run to clock out, and Carvana telling me that Silver Rock was a separate entity and to deal with them. It took 3 days for the Silver Rock inspector to get around to looking at the car (they are supposed to do this before you buy it), and another 2 days for the company to actually process the report. I was able to get two additional days added to the 7 day return policy by demanding they come get the car now. At this point it will be at the dealer being repaired for the next 3 weeks, and I have only driven it the 8 miles to the dealership, and Carvana wants a review on "How I am enjoying my ride". My review is RUN away from Carvana, do not do business with them, and have any car you buy from anyone inspected before purchasing it. I paid $2500 above JD powers / Bluebook value, and had every reasonable expectation that the car was in good working order. The inspection Carvana does is a joke. Summary: SilverRock sucks, Carvana's advertised 150 point inspection is a joke (as verified by people who have actually worked there - just look up Carvana review groups on fb), have the car inspected by your own mechanic, hold Carvana to their 150 point inspection, and be prepared to detail your own car. Carvana customer service is ok, but warranty customer service is argumentative and terrible (more like no service - their objective isn't to help you, it's to mitigate cost for the company), and quality control requires improvement. This is my second time buying a car with Carvana. It was an ok experience, but I will say that their quality control has suffered since the first time I purchased from them in 2018. The car I received was mostly as advertised, but had a bit of body damage that they said happened after pics were taken, so I have to take time out of my day to take it to their repair facility and leave it for 3-4 days with no rental replacement offered. Also, the tires were unevenly worn upon inspection, so I had to deal with SilverRock after taking it to one of their repair facilities who inspected it and agreed with me. SilverRock wanted to put the absolute cheapest tires on the car that they could, which were not original fitment, so instead of arguing with them even more, I just paid the difference to have recommended tires put on it. I also used my seven day return period to have my mechanic inspect the car. Everything was great, except the front rotors had a ring of rust on the inside requiring replacement of both pads and rotors, the brake fluid was dirty, and the rear brakes were worn to 2mm. The 150 point inspection said that all brake pads must be at least 4mm, tires are not unevenly worn, no abnormal noises are present, and the braking system is functioning normally. I held them to their inspection. I did take the car to four shops, finally ending up at the dealer. Carvana customer service wanted me to speak to their warranty company, SilverRock, but I had no desire to speak with them again after the tires incident. I ended up submitting receipts to Carvana for the rear brake job as well as a nav system update, which they accepted, and will reimburse. Carvana customer service extended my 7 day return when I threatened to take the car to their local hub and drop it off due to all the problems I experienced and time I wasted. They also opened a claim with SilverRock for the front brakes and the dealer talked to them directly. I also had to detail the car after I received it as it was still dirty inside and out, which was kinda disappointing. I even found a used bandaid at the base of the windshield (ewwww). All of this should have been addressed by their quality control before my car was delivered. I almost wonder if this could be a false advertising situation too, since their advertised 150 point inspection obviously wasn't performed. All in all, I deducted two stars for poor quality control, stress, and time wasted, but I did mostly get the car they advertised for a good price, and any issues are easily resolved, even if they were time consuming. I am working with Carvana customer service for compensation for my time that was wasted. read more

I didn't want to blast this on social media, but was hoping Carvana would've make things right but they didn't so here I am. I bought my car on May 11,2022 and on May 17,2022 the car stalled out on me and the 17th was my 7th day. I've been with out my car since May 17th so it been over a month without it. They sold me a vehicle (Pictured below) that needed a whole engine replacement and on the 7th day after purchasing it stalled out on me while driving home from work and I called them on that 7th day when the car broke down to let them know what was going on I was on hold waiting to talk to someone then was taken to a recording saying that they were closed, So I called them the next morning since I had to miss work due to the car not being drivable and they said they couldn't do anything cause it was passed the 7 days. I took it in asap as I know the warranty was a limited time and the two shops I took it to, one of witch was the shop SiverRock referred me to and they said it was a security issues and they couldn't fix it and the other shop was to an actual Hyundai dealership and they said it needed the engine replaced, along with a few other minor issues. Hyundai is covering the engine replacement and the rental car for me so I can get to work since my Job was on the line for missing so much work and the money I did put into Lyft or Uber to get to work and from work was a month and a half of car payments and still had to make the first payment on top of that and Carvana didn't want to help to resolve this issue and make it right. This company has POOR customer service, also this company is such a FRAUD and can CARELESS about their customers! All they care about is them making money off shady transactions and undrivable cars and not caring about all of us that work hard for their money to make a big purchase like a car that is a necessity for people like me then stick them with a NON-DRIVABLE car and still have to make the payments on the car. They said they would take care of those, but not within the 7 day return period. After a few days I noticed even more issues. Having no trust in the company at that point, I let them know on day 3 I would be returning the vehicle. I never received written confirmation of my return and the return did not show on their website under my account. I had to spend an hour on the phone to have them email me confirmation before the 7 day return period expired (at which point it would be my word against theirs). They picked up the piece of crap vehicle and returned my trade-in, we signed the return paperwork and at the end of the transaction they told me they didn't have my title and it would be delivered via mail in 3-5 days. It has been now 10 days and I've had multiple Carvana people tell me they would call me back and or have the title overnighted to me. After yet another call, spending another 90 mins on the phone today, they confirmed the title was still in their office in Arizona. They said there was nothing they could do since it was the weekend and that I would have to call them tomorrow. Avg wait times for calling are over 1 hour, their chat bot is worthless, and they don't accept incoming emails. To pour salt on the wound I was transferred three times today (6/13/2021) and the third person I talked to on the phone kept talking over me and wouldn't let me finish. Update: 28 days later I finally received my title. No apologies, no attempt to make it right. read more

These guys are a nightmare to deal with and once the 7 day return policy is over they could care less what issues you have and pass the buck to their warranty company. So I ordered a Taurus, waited the 8 days they said it would take to deliver. That day came and went and I called, somehow my order got stuck in limbo and never got dispatched. They got it dispatched and it was due a week later. Well I canceled that one as I found a Chrysler 300 I liked better, this turned out to be a mistake. A week later the car shows up and they take my trade and. Car looks great outside and drives fine but this is where it goes completely south. First thing I noticed was the right side headlight didn't point the right direction, turns out someone replaced the headlight with a cheap Ebay knock off that uses a different bulb than the proper stock housing. Well their technicians must have noticed a burned out bulb and attempted to replace it with the factory part as the 150 point inspection stated bulb replacement. Once realizing the wiring was wrong they cut and spliced in the wiring for the factory bulb and jammed into the housing because it didn't fit right, it was cockeyed. When I opened it it fell out and broke. I had to fight with silverrock their warranty company and Carvana for a week to get it fixed. A body shop replaced the housing and that was fixed. Still get a worse, the same week I noticed the air from my vents smelled like pancake syrup, that's a coolant leak. Took it to another shop and the water pump is bad and needs replaced, again fixed under warranty. 2 shops in a week and I hadn't had the car more than 2 weeks. I had to rent a car on my dime. Get the car back and have to replace a fog light bulb, not a big deal except I noticed the bumper has been repaired by an amateur with Bondo on the right side and now I begin to see why the headlight was wrong. Someone crashed the car, never reported it and backyard fixed it. This car never should have passed their inspection with these issues as they were easily seen and obvious if you took the time to actually check it over. The carfax showed no history of collision but Carvana won't take the car back unless it has frame damage which I have to waste more time and money with rental cars to have looked at which isn't even a guarantee. Three months in they haven't even gotten my registration done. I had to have my own car emissions inspected and vin verification done which I had to pay for. I sent the forms to them overnight FedEx and they lost them so I had to send another set. On top of all of this the car is still losing coolant and the repair shop can't find where it's going, rental car again. So at this point I have like 2 weeks of warranty left on a car that has major mechanical issues and has been wrecked and I'm stuck with it. I've called, texted and chatted with their customer advocates but they don't care to make things right. I'm pretty close to trading this lemon in and taking a huge loss. I will be getting the BBB involved and possibly other avenues. Bottom line don't buy from them unless you want to roll the dice that you get a car that should have gone to auction. read more

My experience with Carvana has been a nightmare. The car was supposed to be delivered on Oct 16. They said something was found to be wrong, they needed to fix it and the car would be delivered a week later. Then delivery was pushed back again. And again. Dealing with them every time this happened was a nightmare. Their automated system, Sebastian, was not programed to deal with the issue of delivery being pushed back. In order to speak with a human one must play the game each time of going through the unrelated nonesensical answers given by Sebastian. Utimately, you cannot call them at a time conveniet to you. You must hang by the phone for hours waiting for their call or get a quick, garbled voicemail and go back through Sebastian's craziness to get the priveledge of waiting for a call from a human again. Throughout all of this, they never offered anything in return for their inconvenience. They should have looked for a slightly better car - maybe a year newer or 5k fewer miles - and offered to sell it to me immediately at the same price, or taken money off the price of the original car, but instead they arrogantly thought the inconvenience they were putting me through was okay; worth nothing. Carvana may work fine when everything goes as planned, but they cannot handle when something goes not quite right, so I would avoid them. BTW, I finally gave up on them, called Carmax and had a better car at a better price within hours. read more

Oh man, Carvana is a complete disaster. Where should I begin... I ordered my car on January 9th, 2021. The process to order it was seamless and honestly made me feel that I was dealing with a legitimate company and was excited to move foward! I was told my car would be delivered on January 19th, which was 10 days after I ordered it. That was a little longer than I expected because they advertise that you can get your car by the next day, but I wasn't super concerned and figured the 19th would be great. I scheduled the delivery for 6:30 PM so that I could get home from work in time. I received notice a few days before my car was to arrive that my car would be delayed by 12 days. They scheduled my new delivery for January 30th (21 days after I ordered it). They claimed there was damage during transit that needed repaired. I asked if it was in an accident, but they insisted that it wasn't. I still don't understand how there could be damage without an accident...but anyway... They told me that as soon as repairs were done, they would work on getting the car to me as soon as possible. I kept in touch with them each day (by reaching out myself, they never reached out to me) to check on the status of the repairs. Happily, I found out that the repairs were done just a few days after the damage occurred. I figured this was great news and would mean that my car could be delivered! NOPE. I was mistaken- the car was repaired only two days after the damage occurred, but continued to sit somewhere and not move for another 8 days. No one could tell me where the car was or why it wasn't being delivered to me even though the damage had been repaired. I finally accepted that I would not get the car despite the damages being repaired and knew I had to wait until the 30th. BUT GUESS WHAT. I got ANOTHER notification on the 29th that my car is delayed AGAIN, this time due to weather. I would now be receiving it on February 2nd. 25 DAYS AFTER I ORDERED IT. They also scheduled my delivery for 4:00 without checking with me even though my previous deliveries were set for 6:30 due to me being at work. So, I left work early on February 2nd so that I could be home by 4:00 to receive my car. Wouldn't you believe that I get a text message at 3:45 saying that my car only has 6 miles worth of charge (it's an electric car) and that it would be delayed by another day so they could charge it fully. I absolutely refused that and said I need the car today, you will not delay it for the THIRD TIME and I will take it regardless of the fact that Carvana left it with only 6 miles left. The delivery driver finally brought the car to me (although he was late - he showed up around 4:45), and we moved through the process. I could barely test drive it due to only have 6 miles of battery left, but I decided to keep the car. As soon as the delivery driver left, I realized that one of the key fobs didn't work. Again, I contacted Carvana and was told that I have to contact a dealership and create a claim to use my warranty to get the fob replaced. Otherwise, it could cost up to $300 for a new fob. I have to now deal with filing a claim because I was given a broken fob. I've literally had this car for two days and already have to do work on my part to file a claim for something that Carvana should have noticed and taken care of in the first place. I am honestly speechless with how incompetent and unaware the customer service of the company is. It was a total shit show for almost a month while I waited for my car and was ultimately delivered a car 25 days late, with 6 miles of battery left and a broken fob. I strongly, strongly, strongly suggest you do not move forward with purchasing a car from Carvana unless you enjoy getting the run around from customer service and enjoy receiving your car almost a month after you initially ordered it. read more

I decided to buy a 2016 Jeep Cherokee through Carvana and originally had a great, fast experience until the day it was supposed to be delivered. I scheduled my delivery date to be 11am today. My boyfriend and I both took time off of work to be here for the car. I got a call from a Carvana rep AN HOUR before it was supposed to be delivered saying he "couldn't find" my car and that no one knows what state it's in cause of a technical issue. We ended up being passed around on the phone and put on hold several times for over an hour just to be told that I couldn't have the car for another week. I was told that I could be compensated with a credit for a rental car up to $25/day. Come to find out they don't give you any credit until AFTER your car finally gets delivered. How am I supposed to pay for a rental after spending my whole savings on a down payment? After confirming I would get the car at noon a week from today, I was suddenly told that I would actually have to wait more time because that Monday was booked out... they couldn't give me a date in which the car would be delivered. While I was on hold for over an hour, being passed from one rep to another, I was getting calls from other reps in other states, leaving voicemails that I would have the car on a certain date and that the date was locked in but then would be told over the phone that it wasn't true. This is a mess of a company with poor communication within. Being told one thing from someone to then being told that it wasn't true from someone else is truly a headache. I ended up cancelling the whole order. I'm upset I spent so much time and wasn't being taken seriously after a huge purchase. Don't waste your time with this company. They just toss you around and expect you to be okay with not having your car even after you take a credit hit and you put thousands of dollars towards a down payment. read more

Buyer Beware. My $24k crv came to me "damaged in transit" AND BROWN instead of BLACK as described online- DENT in front and broken/shattered running light. They didnt have anything comparable available for trade out- AND wouldnt WAVE the delivery "fee" for a different car. The carfax on my car was clean with no damage- NOW I get an option of a 10 DAY rental car with $40 per day reimbursement in Denver (haha) and I can't even get it in to get an estimate until Nov 20th. (Last day on my warranty is creeping up with no sign the car will even be done being repaired in time)- They also said I cannot drive my car over 4k miles or it Voids my warranty that I have to use to FIX THE CAR THEY DAMAGED IN TRANSIT. Utter let down. Just google "silverrock" (the warranty program that Carvana uses and you will find all the 1 stars that arent posted under Carvana when they should be.) Buyer Beware. No one deserves to have to do this. So annoying and it was a clear "bait and switch." 3 of my friends said "this thing was damaged and they sold it to you- this damage did not happen in transit- you got had." And the more I think about it, it only gets worse. "Brown cars are one of the most depreciated color value of any car, delivered car damaged and pinned it on me to fix, creating a "damaged" report on my carfax, warranty is bogus especially since it wasnt reported on the sale page and now its my responsibility to clean up their mess, no reimbursement for time, no reimbursement for delivery of another vehicle.." The car came dirty with left over food in the door, and in other areas. The windshield was cracked and chipped. I was told it is not covered in my warranty, this was one of multiple damages not noted on carvana. After speaking with a rep i was told the best that could be done is $100 back to my account. I accepted as i didnt want to go though the hassle of a trade out. That credit has yet to be seen, and iv been swept under the rug :/ read more

The car we purchased - a 2015 Grand Caravan - is great. The Carvana service... awful! Out car was delayed 3 separate times due to computer issues on their end. They didn't know about the issue until I called, at which point they told me that they didn't even know where the car was! Once the car arrived, it was missing a trim piece on the body, had no spare tire, and the check engine light came on after 15 - 20 miles of driving. Carvana did work to fix these issues, but come on... Carvana's entire business model is designed around taking the hassell out of car buying. I'll take a sleazy car salesman any day of the week over the headaches I got from Carvana. read more

This was my first time buying a car, and I needed one FAST. After some problems with another well known used car company, I decided to check and see what was on carvana instead... found the perfect car, started the process, only to have problems with financing through my bank. (They were not in a hurry to help me get a car, weren't easy to work with, etc.) I called carvana, let them know what was happening, and switched to financing through them. Everything was so fast and easy through carvana, and the delivery guy was super sweet and made my day! All in all, going with carvana was such a smooth process. Terrible service!!!! I checked with Carvana about two weeks ago and they offered a fair deal. Better than auto brokers would. So I wanted to close the deal. They gave me a choice to drop it off in Missouri (I'm in Denver) or have it picked up. I chose to have it picked up but they couldn't pick it up until a week later. I had scheduled a road trip to CA the same day they would be able to pick it up but at 3:00 pm. I tried to get an earlier appointment but it wasn't possible. When the day came I waited for the scheduled time and for the most part the gentleman was prompt on arriving. An email I received stated that someone would inspect the car to ensure it was what I represented and after the inspection I would receive payment. I had a choice for payments from a direct deposit or a check that would be presented at the transaction appointment. I chose to receive a check which they would charge me $5.00. No big deal. Odd but no big deal. When the gentleman arrived he asked me to start signing papers. I asked if he wanted to inspect the car first. He told me, all he was going to do was drive it far enough to put one mile on the car and the rest was between me and Carvana. So I asked to see the check before I signed anything. He told me he didn't think there was a check. So I said no check no car. We looked through the paperwork, sure enough, no check. He then offered to have me take a few minutes to follow him to Vasquez and I70. I said I didn't have time that I wanted to get on the road for my trip as soon as the transaction was either completed or cancelled. I had waited over a week and delayed leaving early this morning for Carvana to live up to the deal and conditions I signed up for. I did my part but Carvana failed to live up to their part of the deal. The Carvana representative left and I took off for CA. I haven't heard from them since. No apology, nothing. Purchasing the car was good experience. Just don't go back and change your options regarding insurance or maintenance because if you will need, to add a new pick up date. The site and the automated helper does not tell you that. Purchase paperwork went to the DMV. Taxes were incorrect the DMV sent a rejection notice on Dec 16 2023, to correct. I was told it would be done and sent out by the end of day the following day Dec 22, which happened to be the end of the week. it is now two weeks later I have had multiple conversations and asked for escalations with Carvana multiple conversations with DMV. The DMV says that temporary tags can be issued by the dealership and they are permitted to hand out two tags, however, since they are not a local or in-state dealership apparently they are only allowed to hand out one, that's one problem. It is now three weeks past my expiration of the temporary tag. My DMV still does not have the corrected paperwork and according to Carvana, who's telling me nothing they can't help with a temporary tag. I've repeatedly asked for when the paperwork was shipped out and a tracking number I've gotten no responses I've called multiple times And still have no answers. Other than it's been escalated to the executive team. I'm still stuck. I can't drive my car. And add to the frustration before the temp tags expired. I had a family emergency, where I had to drive from Denver to North Carolina. With no valid temporary tag I cannot drive back home to Denver. I'm stuck God forbid your paperwork is incorrect and you have to attempt to get a dealer tag from them. They won't do it. God forbid you have any emergencies where you have to leave the state and dmv has to reject ur paperwork. At this point. No I wouldn't recommend. read more

It started when the delivery of my car kept being delayed. Next, the car they brought me was the wrong color. I bought a white truck and was brought a silver one. I was told the only option was to return the truck and start over. Then......the registration/title process was not explained. After having to have several things done to the truck before I could receive title. I was told that Carvana would handle the registration; not true. I was forced to have a document notarized which was blank!! My temporary plates expired before Carvana submitted my paperwork so I was unable to drive my car. The customer service agents were friendly but the process is a total sham. Never again. read more

The car came on time. There where features listed that the actual truck didn't have. There was some undisclosed body damage. When i would schedule an advocate to call me. They either only texted or they called 24hr later then scheduled. read more

Gorgeous car, great process. I will give a 5th star if they make good on the brakes. Felt like it should've been caught in the 150 point inspection but they have a chance to make it right still. read more
