Worst car buying experience I've ever had...and I hate traditional dealerships. Poor communication, can never talk to ANYONE in charge. Only humans you can talk to are Customer Service farms in another country and they know NOTHING about your actual purchase. They just "read from the script". They push their own overpriced loans and warranties and if you choose to secure a loan elsewhere they make it next to impossible to get figured out. Icing on the cake was the incredibly young and inexperienced worker at the pickup location who stripped the license plate bracket bolts because he used a power tool to install the temp tags. Seriously? Walk...no RUN away from this place/website/product as fast as you can. Trust me, you'll find a better deal and experience ANYWHERE else. read more

Had a great experience selling our vehicle to Carvana. The process was very simple, instructions were clear and concise. We had an older vehicle with some dents, dings and scratches. We were honest with the condition and Carvana was honest with their fair price. The day of our appointment we arrived a bit early, were met with smiling faces and a nice demeanor by the representatives. The representative who helped us explained he would be checking over the vehicle and would only take about 10 minutes. After he completed his inspection/review he handed over the check and we were on our way. Extremely simple process and we were only onsite for about 25 minutes total. First Post: 07/14/2021 Updated: 08/05/2021 Still not impressed with purchasing a vehicle through Carvana. The vehicle was delivered a mess (see photos) and far from Carvana's promised detailing as advertised. The vehicle was delivered with brake issues and suspension issues (both identified and verified by mechanics during the seven day period). Both of these issues should have been identified by Carvana during the 150-point inspection Carvana promises. To future buyers, I'd advise against buying a car through Carvana. While they offer repairing the vehicle through SilverRock, be ready for the car sitting at the shop for multiple weeks as the mechanics try and seek approval for repairs from the company. For example, I was told another jeep at their location had been sitting for over 90-days because SilverRock would not return their calls to approve the repair. Lastly, receiving a simple apology as a reply to this complaint is not acceptable. Someone could at the very least reach out and actually look into the issue. read more

I bought a 2023 Toyota RAV4 from Carvana and love my car, but I'm disappointed that Carvana was not transparent with the imperfections the car has. There were dings and scratches that were not reported and it visually looks less nice because of a crack in the windshield that, granted, was filled, but visually doesn't look as nice. I would expect when buying a car without seeing it in person, that ALL imperfections would be made aware. read more

I purchased through Carvana 3 years ago and it was such a great experience that I purchased again. Huge mistake. The car had not been cleaned or detailed at all and there was some unidentifiable, chunky stuff stuck to one of the floor mats. Not the end of the world but it gets much worse. On the drivers window trim there are 3 huge chunks of black paint missing which were not previously identified prior to purchase. Sent in a claim for repair which they denied. A portion of the rear defroster is not working. Put in a claim for that but the "preferred" shops they referred me to don't do that type of repair. Lastly, and most importantly, the tires were bald. All four of them. As in, literally no tread left on them. This was not disclosed prior to the purchase and not covered by the 100 day warranty (naturally.) $1047 to make the car safe enough to drive. To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement. I will not be purchasing from or referring people to Carvana again. read more

Good - The efficiency of buying a vehicle through Carvana is matched only by few companies. Identifying, choosing and collecting the vehicle are fairly easy. The vehicle I chose met the communicated timeline and drive s pretty well. The bad - The attendee at the vending machine left as soon as the vehicle came out of the building. I was given no opportunity to inspect the vehicle prior to taking possession. There were two additional issues with the vehicle (both are considered "cosmetic") that were not identified in their "inspection". The major one (back window on the soft top) should have been recognized. It was the completely wrong window for the model. This caused approximately 3-4" of gap between the top and bottom. To correct this, and this is what they don't come right out and tell you, you have to file a claim in your dashboard. The deductible is 100$ for a preferred service site (waived if repairs are approved) and 300/350 at a non-preferred repair location. So, in the end, I purchased the window myself for 125 instead or gambling on the "approved" repair for 100, or giving the car back and being out 1190 for transport costs. My opinion, I'll just go to Carmax in the future. I've always had a good experience there and they have always provided me a high quality experience and a product I trust. read more

I wouldn't even give 1 star if I could! Carvana had my money directly deposited into their account from my checking account for 5 days and they said that it wasn't cleared on their end. They wouldn't give me my car even though I was looking at it and I was approved to pick it up 7 days earlier and after they changed pick up twice! I bought the car and did everything financially they asked and they still didn't give me my car 2 weeks after I first purchased it!! Horrible customer service and book keeping! They lied not having my money in their account and after I said I'm getting a lawyer they then said that it would be back into my account the next day... The same money that they said that they didn't have! I hope this helps someone that is thinking of buying here; NOT to buy through CARVANA. Scandalous and a big waste of time. read more

I must admit that buying a car this way was a bit nerve-wrecking, but once the process was completed I was happy. I stumbled upon my dream car and on a whim decided to sell the car I had and buy the car I saw. The online process was surprisingly straightforward. For selling my 2017 car with 31K miles I added some info and the offer that came back was slightly better than the Kelley Blue Book value and much more than what I owed on the car, so that was nice. Interestingly, when I found my car for sale on the site, it was listed for $3,000 more than I paid for it originally. I guess the market really has gone nuts. Buying the new car was equally as straightforward. Shared some info, was approved and car was going to be delivered in 7 days. I did have some questions I could not find answers to online, and the chat feature on the website did not seem to work, so I called them. After about a 30 minute wait I got to speak with a rep in Arizona who was informed and pretty friendly. Got all my questions answered. Delivery was scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Saturday (3 weeks ago). Person delivering the car texted that she'd let me know that she was on her way. Didn't get that text, but she showed up fairly close to the scheduled time. She was super friendly and helpful. We got to test drive the car we ordered and kept it. She took the car we sold around the lot and it was loaded up. Only issue was that the temporary title was on the wrong address not the address on the account. Based on chat the new CO title should be on the right address, although we haven't received the new plates yet. We decided to keep the car after the 7 day trial and it took them 11 days to pay off the car they bought from us. So if you have a payment due on the car you sold within that period you may need to make it as to not incur late fees. In our case the loan payoff amount quoted was more than we owed and the company still hasn't send us that refund back. But that is a different 0 star review. Oh, I LOVE the new car! read more

The customer service is great...and that's about it. After ordering my car and deciding to finance it, my parents offered to buy it for me so I didn't have to pay the ridiculously high APR. A few days later they called me to let me know I still had some documents to download to the website. I didn't answer because I thought they were a telemarketer and I was at my grandfather's funeral. The next day they completely cancelled my order. They didn't email me, call me again, text me, nothing. The worst part is that I literally had 5 days to download the extra documents they wanted (at least according to their website). I had to reorder and my car didn't get delivered for a month. Every time I called, everyone was super helpful and friendly, so that is their saving grace. Be prepared to be read a script over and over from different customer service reps about why your car is delayed. They will apologize profusely and tell you that they don't anticipate any other delays only for your delivery date to be pushed back multiple times. They will be polite but will not offer any sort of compensation or resolution to your issue. They could also never tell me where my car was during the transportation phase. After multiple delays, I was ready to fly to wherever it was just to be done with the mess. When it finally came time for me to get my car, they reported they were understaffed and got me an Uber to their office to get my car. The Uber was paid for, but they made sure to make it just that much more inconvenient to get my car. By the time I finally got the car I was just relived to be done with the experience. They sucked all the joy out of getting a car. The rep at the office was friendly but he to could only apologize. It's almost like my experience was the norm and he was ready for an unsatisfied customer. I would not be surprised if the place shuttered in the near future. The office was full of open desks and not many employees. The car itself seems to be as promised. The deal on the car was good and I am satisfied with my purchase. Just don't expect them to care at all about getting you the car in a timely manner. The majority of the people I dealt with were polite, but that's about all I can say positive of this car purchase. Platitudes about how sorry they were for the delays got old very quickly. I can't say I would recommend using this service unless you don't care how long it takes to get your car. read more

I know it's a late post but I had no clue they had a yelp, anyway they delayed my delivery and paid for an Uber to get to their site due to a problem with the belt. That should have been my first sign that they don't inspect the vehicle. They replaced the belt but missed a massive oil leak, the VW dealership had to tell me about the leak. And their warranty company refuses to fix leaks. I am not asking them to repay me the 3k I had to do in repairs after 7 months of ownership. Searching and locating a vehicle was a great experience. Carvana provides many updates and alerts on the searches that I saved. Then once I actually purchased the car, they went dark. Based on all the email and text alerts I was receiving to make a purchase, I was surprised by how few updates were providing while I was waiting for the vehicle. I tried searching for any information but it was very limited. I was given a 3 hour window for delivery and was instructed that the driver would call me with updates. I received zero communication from Carvana or the driver 26 minutes before the end of the 3 hour delivery window. The driver then called 7 times in 4 minutes (I had to take a work call) and when I was not able to answer the call immediately, they threatened to move the delivery window to the next day. This all occurred within a 5 minute window even though they had left me waiting for 2.5 hours without any updates. The driver arrived 22 minutes after the window and took a while to unload and park the vehicle. The driving backed into my driveway, which I did not ask them to do. They parked poorly, ending on the grass adjacent to the driveway and hit a sprinkler head on my lawn. After signing all the paperwork and the driver commenting in the app that I was happy with the vehicle, I still had not been inside the car or received the keys. They told me to fill out a survey to get floor mats because they were excluded in the delivery. After they left, I sat in the vehicle for the first time and was shocked by how dirty the interior was on delivery. The vehicle also smells terrible inside (like cigarette smoke) and none of the systems were reset to factory so I had to take time to clear out all the previous driver information. read more

The Carvana website worked quickly to provide an offer for my BMW i3 after filling in basic details on my car. Their offer was substantially higher than another dealer's trade in offer. The turn-in was seamless and the offer money was used by Carvana to payoff my lien with the balance sent to my bank account. My only complaint is that I had just installed new tires on my car and I had no way to provide this information in the offer details. There is no negotiation when turning in your car. read more

Having never sold a car this way, I was suspicious of the process. My trepidation was unfounded. Another Big Denver car dealer told me Carvana was dishonest and lied about the way in which their employees were paid. The BIG fancy dealer lied, not Carvana! I input the data describing my vehicle accurately and completely, including the wear and tear and paint oxidation and everything, and the offer they made online stood up when I took the Jeep in for inspection and sale. They paid me 30% more than the bigshot dealer offered through the old online rating company, so beware of tales told by Denver's bigshot fancy dealers. This has cost me hundreds in rental fees and lost wages with them saying they will not offer ANY compensation. GPS Issues after purchase, black screen then error message to take to the dealer. I bought all the extended warranties from Carvana and they don't have a repair facility within 100 miles of me. I took it to the local dealership and found out an after market high performance GPS was installed at one time and the regular isn't loadable now. I bought a replacement vehicle for one that was totaled in an accident. Delivery to this location went great. The car was in awesome condition. (Note to carvanna team) If you put new tires on an all wheel drive vehicle please warn the person you didn't balance them on pickup, I had an incredible amount of shaking at 55mph that went away at 75mph. It was so bad it disabled my "eyesight" safety features. Quick tire balance fixed that. Other than that I've had a good experience. Best car buying experience I've had in years. read more

I generally had a good experience, however when it came down to fix my A/C within my seven days silver rock only covered the bare minimum when I was told they would cover all of it. So really a complaint on silver rock! In the matter of getting this car it was very fast and was shocked because this was my first time buying through a dealer. They messed up processing my downpayment and made me overnight a check which was inconvenient. I also continued to get emails asking for a downpayment after this had been resolved and has been a frustrating thing to deal with especially after calling in multiple times and being told it was resolved. That's funny because If you do a little research in Denver on these shady people, they just sold a STOLEN vehicle to a gentleman here in Denver that has been inspected by a REAL inspector and he says that it's even unsafe to drive! So not only did they sell a stolen vehicle to a man they clearly passed it every though they KNEW it was a wrecked car and was unsafe to drive. My experience was half and half with Carvana. The first half which was the online portion went really smooth; was easy to submit paperwork and get approved and all that but the pick up and end result was not great. When I arrived at the Carvana lot for pick up I waited quite a bit for someone to help me (which is totally fine, it was busy and they didn't have many staff). Once I finally chatted with an associate there and things got moving and I was waiting for my car to come down and get finishing touches, the associate came back out and said there was an issue with my delivery and my car was in Colorado Springs. He went back into the back and remerged saying just kidding, my car is here but was labeled wrong, and hadn't been washed but the inside was clean. I said this was fine as I was already late to get back to work at this point. The associate drove the car up for me to take and on my way out I noticed two very noticeable chips in the windshield that this associate missed. As I was already late I drove away and called Carvana to see if they would fix the windshield as this was not something that was listed on the imperfections on the car before I bought it. Since the associated didn't catch the windshield damage I was told that this was no longer on them and I needed to pay to get the windshield fixed, which I then had Safelite come out and when they tried to fix the two chips the windshield cracked further so now I am paying for an entire new windshield on a car I bought without any windshield damage reported. The keys I was given for my vehicle are both very loose so you have to be very careful using them. I feel as Carvana did not disclose all of the things that were issues with this car and pretty much told me "now that it's in your possession you are S.O.L.". I wish I was given a little more help during this process. Thankfully a windshield fix and a trip to the dealership about the keys is really the only issue with the car and an easy fix but bummed either way with the way my pickup of the car went and things not being inspected correctly. read more
