I will never recommend Carvana to anyone. I was completely misled about the registration fees, even after they knew I live in a title-only state. They still provided inaccurate information, which directly impacted my decision to purchase the vehicle. Had I known the correct information upfront, I would not have moved forward with the purchase. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have proof of the conversation where I was given this incorrect information, and they still did nothing to correct the issue. Honestly I will give Carvana 2,5 stars out of 5. Just because the buying/trade in process was amazing. The delivery is also a plus, but the excitement of the delivery was stolen, The car was delivered dirty with very shiny tires. So first glance was exciting and then I got in the car. The windshield had several chips that were not disclosed. Dust in every possible crevice, felt like I just bought it off à private seller. When I took it to meineke for inspection they found that the water pump was leaking. I will say Carvana and the warranty Company Silver Rock fixed everything at no cost financially. I say financially, because mentally and time wise this has been a terrible week. I just wanted to get in and drive lol! We've bought almost three cars from Carvana. All three arrived dirty and in need of a repair. The first two we kept, they reluctantly repaired the cars and sent detailers out . The third one, a 2020 Tesla Model 3, again came dirty and in need of repair. This time, it would be at our expense, for reimbursement because we're required to go to the Tesla dealer. Fine. My final straw was this; they refused to title the car in both mine and my husbands names with no reason why, other than, "We can't add both owners to the title." I stated, my husband works on a military installation and must be a registered owner of the vehicle. Then they told me, "well you can return the car then." So we did. Absolutely abhorrent response to this situation. So after three cars, over a 6-year period, my review of Carvana is this; they are shady and sell lemons of cars. They will offer to finance it with their own company, Bridgecrest, and will "warranty" with their own company Silver Rock, but you have to go to Pepboys for repairs or pay out of pocket somewhere else to get reimbursement. Last time that reimbursement took around 3 months to receive. They claim how great they are until something happens and you find out quickly how untrue that is. They have rude customer service and an even worse financing department. The only saving grace is the 7-day period they give you. We also got an almost 5% better interest rate direct from Tesla. I'll add in, we needed the warranty on our last car and even though we were in the term of the warranty, they denied the claim. So the warranty is questionable at best. We will never buy another car from them and will never recommend them to anyone. read more

What I experienced wasn't just bad service -- it was deceptive business practices, likely in violation of Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 598, which prohibits false advertising and misrepresentation of goods. Carvana proudly advertises 150-point inspections and "no surprises," yet the vehicle I received was misrepresented and outright defective: * Undisclosed dent on the front bumper * Coffee spill residue in the center console * Mold in the door sill area -- a potential health hazard * Spray-painted wheels to hide defects -- deceptive cosmetic cover-up * Front trunk lid visibly cracked and hot glued together -- not a repair, a disgrace SilverRock, their so-called warranty partner, refused every claim and had the audacity to tell me that a dent in the bumper is "normal." Fraudulently selling a damaged vehicle and claiming it's "normal wear" is exactly the type of misrepresentation prohibited under NRS 598.0915(15) -- knowingly making any false representation in a transaction. This is not a minor mistake. This is fraudulent concealment of defects to close a sale. I am currently consulting with an attorney regarding potential violations of Nevada's Deceptive Trade Practices Act (NRS 598.0903 to 598.0999) and will not hesitate to escalate this to the Nevada Attorney General's Office and BBB. I strongly caution anyone considering doing business with Carvana: this is not a reputable operation, and the way they handle post-sale issues is unacceptable. I purchased two trucks and returned the first truck after quickly realizing the transmission was slipping and the tires would not pass DOT inspection due to dry rot. Swapped that track for a lower mileage truck and before I left my neighborhood, I experienced different transmission issues, I reported the issue on their app to resolve and I was told to take it to a gmc dealership. Over a month later and my trucks still at the dealership. Even though I submitted that in the 7 day period and was told to take it to a dealership, they won't do anything for me. To top it off, the pictures on carvana of the truck showed a bed cover on the truck, I had used the filter "bed cover" to find the truck I wanted and it showed up without one, they also told me because it's a removable part, it's not guaranteed to be included. They took it off and left the bed cover install holes untreated. Incredibly unhappy, worst customer service and business I have worked with on a car purchase. The entire purchasing experience was good. So easy its surreal that you can spend that much money without putting in any effort. The part that drops the stars for me is that the car that i purchased had a few pretty extensive damages that should have been identified in the description. I ended up with 2x rock chips in the windshield (one is about 2" across) and the rear quarter pannel has pretty significant damage (scratches from probably a pole) that was painted over, but not repaired. The tiniest imperfections outside of those were called out though making it seem that that was as bad as it got. The pictures, although pretty good, were not sufficient to be able to see the points that were impactful. I would have chosen a different vehicle if i knew about these issues. By the time i was able to get the vehicle delivered, they did not have any other options that fit my criteria. Thats what i get for buying site unseen. read more

What an absolutely atrocious company. Full of scammers. I cannot believe the experience that I had with them. I ordered a vehicle to purchase, with a trade in. It was falsely advertised as 4wd. Upon arrival, I noticed that it was 2wd. They want to take your trade in quickly while you inspecting the new vehicle. The man working was hurriedly doing the paperwork and trying to take my car. I noticed the issue, and rejected the vehicle. The man gave me back my keys, insurance, and license, but kept my title. He said "a manager will have to call you tomorrow for the rest." NO ONE EVER CALLED ME. Countless calls to their customer service, texts to their chat line. I even went back into the storefront. Every representative that I spoke to acted so apologetic and concerned and promised me that management would contact me within the hour to help me. It's been over a week now. I have continued to call. Finally after calling yet again and demanding a manager, I spoke to someone who told me, "you'll have to just file for a lost title. Your title is gone. Worst car buying experience of my life, they say their cars go through a 150 point inspection, not true! I live in Reno NV, and drove down to Las Vegas to drop my current car off to my Daughter so she would have a car. Picked up the vehicle, test drove it and immediately the A/C would blow at 90 degrees and you could not adjust it, the dude that delivered the car said, oh just take it to Cadillac when you get home, well Cadillac was booked out for two weeks. Come to find out that my deductible would be $375. While driving home the brakes went bad, had to fix those, they said take it to brake stop and put a claim in with Silver Rock, just a $125 deducible , I've had bad luck with brake stop and they are the only ones in Reno/Sarks area that accept Silver Rock, sad. The keyless entry system went bad and the car would not recognize my key fobs , neither one of them, so I take it to the locksmith to have the key fobs programed and low and behold the trunk key that is supposed to program the fobs is broken, a key broke off in the key slot. I had to buy a whole trunk lid from a junkyard to obtain the lock housing because the part is no longer available . Then, my left rear tail light is sticking up off the fender, come to find out the car has been in an accident, not reported to carafe nor is it in any records found, but clear evidence the car has been in an accident as we found making tape and overspray underneath the vehicle. I had the worst experience trying to trade in my car. First off, I use Navy Federal as my credit union and apparently only one person in all of Carvana knows their trade in policy. I had to call and explain over 20 times to the same 5 Carvana Associates how it worked and went on 3 way calls and in person with my bank to call Carvana yet they still did not understand. I was told that everything would be good on my end when I went to go pick up the car and as I was getting ready to finish up and sign paperwork they denied me the car and told me to call in AGAIN the next morning where Carvana once again did not understand. Carvana tried accusing me of having a lack of understanding of the trade deal that we were making, even though I had my bank tell them on many occasions exactly how the trade in deal works under navy federal's internal payoff policy. When all of that was done, as I was driving home in my car which they took the targa top off of already, I notice one of the aligning pins is broken off the top, many scratches and scraping on the body that wasn't highlighted were on the car, and the rotors were very rusty as well as the headers. The shipping fee is included in the final sale price of the car however it is not financeable even tho It's counted as the full sale price, and this confusion cost me a hard check on my credit since I had to redo another loan for the correct sale price, of which they don't dissclose til you start the process. I've sold a car to carvana before and it was very easy, the people at the in person store are very nice and aren't hard to work with however their customer service is the most annoying and frustrating experience I've ever had to deal with. They dance around actually talking to me by thanking me for using my time to actually complete the deal instead of having their research done on the credit union I said I was using. No compensation for my time was given even after having the car denied from me for another day after proof of insurance was needed to drive the car. BUYING EXPERIENCE: It was easy. You purchase the vehicle, Carvana prepares the paperwork, review, and approves in less than a day. It depends on your part to be proactive and submit the required documents to include insurance before the purchased vehicle can leave their lot. EXCHANGE EXPERIENCE: You can return or exchange your purchased vehicle within seven days. The vehicle exchange will occur in two days. I had communicated, purchased another insurance for the other vehicle, reviewed & signed new documents. I have done as asked. On exchange date, the vehicle was delayed another week as I waited patiently. A week passes and another delay. Keep in mind, I have paid an auto-policy for two vehicles. One of them , not in my possession. RETURN EXPERIENCE: I no longer want either vehicles. One of the vehicles, I have never seen. I mentioned, since I have a window for delivery, can you just pick up the current vehicle I have now. I want to end the purchases and terminate the policy for both vehicles. They couldn't get the current vehicle because it was a delivery, not a pick up. What is the difference if it were an exchange? CARVANA's answer is being apologetic and if you need answers, wait for an email, SMS chat, or view the CARVANA App. I asked the reason for the delay. Their response is title/registration paperwork (LIES)!!!. The exchanged vehicle I purchased is practically brand new. It has less than 1,200 miles on the odometer for a 2023 vehicle. Found a car he was all excited about went theu an filled out all the paperwork. An had it set up for pick up on a Friday night. Thursday he was finishing up signing such paperwork. Was late said he'd give us a call next day. But we should be all set. Friday comes an he is ready to go pick up car from vending machine. My son asks me  if I'd heard from them? I was like no. Just give them a call an make sure we are good to pick up. So he calls an we spe d the next hour n half on the fone. With a representative. Who says since we had to change the number it changed the pi k up date. Ok that's fine. So the rep says let me go in an double  check e erything. Comes back o  an says we don't except Chime bank.do you have another bank account? My son is no that it all i have. Now mind you they have already taken the down payment out of his acount.. so my question is if it's not a bank you except, why does your site say it does & how we're you able to take his money out? All the repayment could say was we didn't take his money we put a hold on it. So we cancelled the order.   And at that time should have been refunded. Here it is3 weeks later an 5 calls to which all they keep saying is the refund takes 3 to 5 days. In the last 2 calls we have made. The refund was just initiated  and it will now take 4 to 10 days. We called tonight an the rep says we'll according to my end it says it's been sent to your bank Thursday an is out of our hands now. You'll have to see how long it takes the bank to put into your account. Ok so we hang up an call chime to see how long it could take an if they have received it. Chime rep checks the account on their wnd an can only see that Carvana has taken the money out on may 28th. Bit there is no such refund in process. I received an email on 6/30 stating my registration was complete and my plates were on the way and to check back if I hadn't received them by 7/31. On 7/30 I reached out only to find out that the registration was NOT complete and I had to register the vehicle myself. I sold my amazing, well serviced ,, fast, dependable VW GTI MANUAL TRANS to carvanna, they did give me a great price I can't complain, with my trade and an additional 18,000 I bought a low mileage factory warranty (thank god) Audi A3 . When the gentleman brought my car from Vegas to where I live to deliver it the moment I push the start button to warning lights came on one said time for inspection so the car had not been serviced they hadn't even changed the oil before they sold it to me as well as there was no air in the tires so the gentleman told me that this was normal and then I needed to make an appointment to have my car serviced I've never heard of that before I've never bought a brand new car that the people didn't service the car before the sold it to you. Whatever. So I drove it home I drove it to my shop I drove it basically a total of 10 miles before the car died just died just staled out In the middle of a very busy highway so I had to get towed to the nearest Audi dealership which was over 100 miles away and that's fine whatever but now I'm without a vehicle, i'm 100 miles away from the dealership so I have to take an Uber to the dealership Friday as well as I had to pay money to hold another car on corona they wouldn't just hold it for me so I can do a return and I have to pay another $5000 for another car it kind of seems unfair and they won't even work with me even though I am going to probably out of pocket spend an additional $500 because Audi can't even get to the car to look at it until Friday it's a mess be very very thorough if you buy a car with them make sure you test drive it for a full 30 minutes and I mean test drive that thing Make sure there is no warning lights and don't let them say oh it's normal because it's not normal to buy a new car ever and every warning lights I've never purchase a car without my father so I was pretty proud of myself that I was able to find something with low miles and never been on the East Coast all the things that my father taught me and what do you know the car died 10 miles after I bought it so just do your homework guys because it Carvana does not budge on price is not even after they sell you a car they didn't inspect they don't do anything what you see is what you get and what you get is what you pay for so I will probably purchase another car through Carvana because I really don't have a any other choice right now And considering I guess just I'm gonna have to wait and see how this next one goes and then I'll re-review and let you know if I would ever do this again through this company read more

Why them? Quit using Google! !!! #2: Terms were written for $ 0 Cash down, yet they wanted $ 1100 upfront payment, without explanation, especially IF I was already "Pre-Approved" credit & employment ??? No one at their organization was willing to answer the Question. #3. ++ UPDATE ++ As of last night the Carvana website has a special news bulletin relating to Covid-19. Carvana apparently has a social conscience and they want us to think they care about the well being of their drivers and their customers. To show how much they care they have put into place some new policies that follow the guidelines on social distancing! Deliveries made with the least human interaction as possible and a lot of details arranged beforehand on the telephone. GREAT IDEA. The same applies to vehicle pick ups and the only geographic areas that are specifically mentioned to have delays in servicing their customers are Northern California and Pennsylvania For whatever the reasons are for those delays, I feel Badly for anyone living in those areas however I'm not in either nor am I close enough to either where a "ripple effect" could happen. I think that maybe the car advocates have been drinking a little too much of the Carvana Kool Aid (or maybe not nearly enough) and they are allowed to / told to use the Pandemic that is upon us as the excuse for any and every inept and wrong decision their "used car salesmen" managers make. If that's not the reasoning, then why would they say that because of "the virus" my car can't be picked up for three more weeks when the compassionate and empathetic management team at Carvana have put into place these new procedures!? This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I have been lied to countless times and now 45 days later I still do not have my registration even though I have already paid the car off. My delivery was delayed for two weeks and I was told they would send me a 200 dollar check for my Inconvenience. I was on hold with them for 3 hours to schedule the original delivery and was told they would send me a 100 dollar check for my inconvenience. I was told I just needed to show the loan was paid off and they would get me the registration. I did that. Yet I am still fielding automated calls and emails saying I'm missing paperwork. They call while I'm at work so I can't answer the phone and the computer doesn't say what I'm missing. I finally was able to take the call today and come to find out the last person was wrong! Shocker. I still need the security agreement from my loan. Ok, well that would have been nice to know 30 days ago when we first talked. It's an easy fix but now I've wasted probably a total of 24 hours of being on hold, a two week delay in getting my car, and overall horrible customer service. junk just plain junk, carvana sells garbage vehicles that they do not stand behind, the supposed 150 point inspection is a joke unless it is being done by inexperienced mechanics that know nothing about vehicles, also carvan customer service is terrible they offer no help and don't care it's no wonder there is stories that this company might go under soon, I WOULD NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM CARVANA, do yourself a favor and go to the dealership. buying a car online seemed like a good idea at the time but turned in to a nightmare for me. my car is a 2017 with low mileage i've had it for a yearand a half and it has spent a good majority of that time in the shop for major repairs, i have been stuck on the side of the road multiple times i have missed work over and over because my garbage car broke down, i called carvana and their attitude was " too bad we didn't build the vehicle so we have nothing to do with the problems it has" so basically i was told to bad deal with your piece of crap car that we {carvana} claim to put through a inspection to make sure it is reliable and roadworthy it's not our problem call the manufacturer. what a joke read more

I was excited to try Carvana out! I had high hopes on this company! I started looking through their car list and found a car I liked on January 26th and immediately requested the car to be test driven when it was availabl. Carvana scheduled a day they were gonna deliver it for me to test drive on February 8th, I was so excited. Then I got a call the Saturday before the 8th saying they had delivery issues and that it would be a little longer before it was delivered... they finally set a day to have it delivered and that was suppose to be February 14th at 11:30am, so on that day I got a call from one of the reps @ 10am saying if I could take a selfie and add my ID in the pic for security purposes and that they would see me at 11:30 to deliver my car, well 11am came around and I get a call saying there was a snag in the smog check and now it won't be delivered Today because it didn't pass smog! So I called customer service and chewed them out about the service I was getting. The gentleman was nice at least and did what he could to make sure I would get my car as soon as possible so he set a day on Friday the 18th for my car to be delivered at 9am well the day came and before 9am I looked at the website to see if my delivery was still scheduled for that day and come to find out they had on there March 18th at 9am!!! A whole month now I have to wait to have my car delivered!!! So I call d them back and this other guy was not as good as the other guy I spoke with. He didn't show he cared and was not really helping at all, after being on the phone with him for about 25mins he said he Would call the place where the car was at and see what he could do. well not much was done except a lot of broken promises!! Well I took my business else where and got me a better car and great customer service at Towbin/Kia! I highly recommend NOT shopping at Carvana has they don't show a sense of urgency nor do they care to help and be friendly... shame on you guys for not following through with your motto!
