I sold my 4 year+ old low mileage car with minimal effort. Best offer by thousands of dollars versus all the usual competitors like Carmax, local dealers etc. They were right on time to look over my car, give me a check and arranged for a hauler to arrive a few hours later. Everything went perfectly. Based on many other reviews there seems to exist a huge disconnect from selling Carvana a car versus buying a car from them. So many ugly reviews nation wide from those trying to get their purchased cars. I think senior Carvana management to get totally involved in fixing this side of their business and stop with all the excuses from their Internet responder. read more

This so called "150 point inspection" is a complete puff of smoke! My brother bought his first car "EVER" from Carvana on March 29, 2020 and had only driven 600 miles over a 2 week span. On April 14, 2020 my brother is driving his new car and it begins to wobble; the tire blew out while driving on Interstate 95 (keep in mind @ 65mph). Fortunately, he wasn't hurt, but the tire blowout caused significant damage to the driver side front bumper and rim was bent as a result. It was a huge hassle with Carvana and the warranty company SilverRock to try to get the necessary repairs covered. They both pushed back to say they don't cover wear and tear items (but the car was in possession for 2 weeks and only driven for 600 miles). Turns out the steel belts in both front tires were separating - only the driver side front tire blew, the passenger front tire has been replaced as a precaution. There are a few telltale signs of steel belt separation in tires, but clearly someone on the Carvana team missed it. They went on to say things like "he must have run over something." Also, the tire pressure in the rear tires were at 45psi when the tires are rated for 36psi. Someone screwed up and they didn't want to take responsibility for their negligence! There is no reason for this to have occurred in the short 2 week period since my brother took delivery, either the tire was overinflated or defective from the manufacturer. On that note Carvana and SilverRock should have handled this better. They need to take tire safety to the utmost seriousness before someone is fatally injured. I'm glad I got my car from Carmax (4 years ago) without incident, I wouldn't advise anyone to conduct business with Carvana because they clearly don't inspect their outgoing cars! read more

I have been on hold with the customer service line for more than 20 min each of 3 times. I was told by customer service that my name was added to the account so I could have discussions while my son was at work. Now I've been told that my name is not on the account. We have sold two cars and bought one in the past month. Like ordering a pizza until there is an issue. Horrible customer service. They alleged that a license plate was delivered to our house. It was never received and now they have said we have to try and deal with Fedex and the DMV as they can't help at all. Thank you for the half complete sales process where we will now incur extra fees from the dmv for a replacement and the tickets for an expired tag that I'm sure we will incur in the meantime. Not to mention the time off of work to resolve this. Pathetic! Just go to a regular car dealer where they complete the entire process for you. Never again! read more

I don't normally do reviews and never give advice, but ... If you are going to buy a car, buy it from Carvana. Everyone that I dealt with was super polite and friendly. No dealership slime balls to suffer. The selection of cars and the way that they are presented on the website is first class. My new to me Mercedes arrived shiny and spotless. The flatbed driver couldn't have been more polite and helpful. Registration and plate arrived 3 days after the end off the seven day trial. Up until my most recent experience, I only had good things to say about Carvana. My mom and close friends purchased cars through Carvana, and it was a smooth, easy process. This was not the case for me. We purchased a Nissan from Carvana, and within the first day, we realized it was not the car for us, so we decided to swap the car for a different car based on Carvana's 7-day guarantee. On Friday morning, we picked out a Volkswagen and scheduled for it to be delivered on Sunday. Everything was going great but Friday night, when I received an email from Carvana stating that our delivery had been pushed back for a week and a half without consulting me or explaining why. I immediately called and was told that the reason for the delay was that there was a stain on the seat to be cleaned. I said I didn't care about the stain and would rather have the car delivered as originally agreed. The service rep told me that he understood and would work on it, giving me a call first thing Saturday morning. I did not receive a call from anyone at Carvana on Saturday morning, so I finally called again and spoke to a different rep who said the same thing - he would work on it and call me back. He also did not call me back. So, I called again and spoke to a third rep who basically told me she didn't know what I wanted her to do, but she forwarded me to the only helpful rep I spoke to in this whole process. This rep offered me minimal compensation for all my hassle and stated that I should have been offered compensation from the beginning and explained that unfortunately, the car had already been shipped out for cleaning so there was nothing they could do. So, I was stuck with the car we didn't want until Carvana finished their week-long spot cleaning. In that week and a half delay, one of the tires on the Nissan blew out, causing the car to careen in the median. I am pregnant and now was in a car accident because Carvana put bad tires on the car they gave us. I waited over an hour for roadside assistance to help me change the tire (again I'm pregnant) so I could drive to a car shop. The car shop, while inspecting the car, discovered that the car had a rusted fan belt. So, I had to pay for repairs to both the tire and the fan belt out of pocket, and Carvana informed me it would be about two months before I would be reimbursed for repairing THEIR car. I was two hours late for work that day because of Carvana's negligence. (Still haven't received the compensation check or reimbursement check, by the way). The Volkswagen was finally delivered on April 5, a week and a half after the originally agreed delivery date. However, it was delivered two hours after the agreed delivery time, causing me to miss ANOTHER two hours of work. When we finally received the Volkswagen, we discovered that one of the keys was totally inoperable, the driver's seatbelt didn't buckle, the charging ports didn't work, and the fanbelt on THAT car was ALSO rusted. We took it to a repair shop and had to pay out of pocket for rental car while the SECOND car was being repaired. (Carvana claims we'll be reimbursed for That - but that remains to be seen). The car was in the repair shop for the ENTIRE span of our seven-day money back guarantee, wholly due to Carvana's negligence. In that week and a half extra that they had the car, they apparently only had time to clean one stain, but no time to make sure it had legal, functioning seatbelts, keys, chargers, and AC. So, we were never ACTUALLY able to test the car out within that seven-day period. I called Carvana about this and they said they would extend the return period and would call me back to confirm the extension. Did they call back? You guessed it! Nope! Did they extend it? Right again - of course not! Finally, we accidentally left some treasured in the nissan in the chaos of getting it returned to Carvana, and I called to ask them to send those items back to us. They said - YOU GUESSED IT - "we'll work on it and call you back." And never ever called back. So, it would appear that those items are just gone. Absolutely horrific experience. Completely negligent, dishonest company. Stay as far away as possible. read more

My car was originally delayed a week due to a 1 day storm in GA. No problem, im typically patient. The day of delivery, I received a call an hr before delivery stating my car was being detailed. An hr later and a few min before delivery i receive a text stating that theyre putting gas in the car. HQ customer service was called twice, in which they attempted to call the Miami location. In typical, Miami fashion no one answered. The first time the excuse was traffic. I trek to Miami during the week, this was the weekend, it take 30-45 min to travel. I just felt like there was a bunch of excuses since i was asking for a partial delivery refund. I finally received the car 2 hrs later it still had leaves in the hood and trunk of the car, scuff marks on the door. To me the car was barely detailed. In addition, the tire pressure light was on, and i had to wait for the paperwork to be completed. I used the warranty to take the car in for inspection, it needed a new tire and they removed the warning light. In all, it was a decent experience, but only in MIA. If you purchase from SFL I would definitely recommend physically going to the location if you could. Resolutions for Miami: ensure you have enough time to complete everything needed prior to eta, ensure you activate the tracking in the Carvana app, have someone to always answer the phone. read more

I regret not listening to the reviews. I ordered a 2013 infiniti g37 w 40k mile expecting a clean car with no scratches or chips. As that is what was sold to me in the images used to get my money. Of course when I got it here it was anything but. Of course we'll get to that let's talk about how it long it took to get here. A month, after an advertised 12 day delivery for 1500$... First they said tires, they said they'd get oem tires, they are cheap knockoffs. Then they said delivery drivers failed. All while I'm paying for insurance on the car because they require it for delivery. No body repaid me for that month of insurance even though I couldn't even drive the car. As if that wasn't enough the car is covered in scratches and chips that were conveniently left out. And the brakes were screaming off the lot so badly that by the time I made it home the car won't move. I will be contacting a lawyer as I don't believe that they should be allowed to practice a business where they lie about the cosmetics and health of a car. read more

Carvana is just the worst! I just purchased a car from them and the day before the arrival of my vehicle they told me I had to reschedule the drop off. I asked why because I already took the day off from work, the customer service guy Eric Stanford was rude acting like I'm the one inconveniencing him, he said one of the driver called out of work today so I'm going to get my car in a couple days. He advised me to contact my insurance if I want to save some money... excuse me !!it's not about the money I signed a contract with Carvana that clearly states that I will receive my car on 4/05/2021 not a couple days later. It's absolutely the worst experience I had to be without a car because one of their employees calling out... and to put the topping on the cake!!! No hassle between the middle man and financing. No pressure to buy. The whole process is painless and if there is an issue, they are willing to go above and beyond to help you. After changing my delivery date several times, my own fault, I had to pick the vehicle up. The employee that was helping me pick up the vehicle, Latrecia, offered to Uber me to the location to pick up the vehicle which I thought was amazing. She didn't just leave me hanging she worked with me throughout the whole ordeal and kept me informed. When I arrived at the "car vending machine" in Miami, Latrecia was there waiting for me. Eventhough most of the process is done online, how refreshing it was to meet a very professional and knowledgeable employee in person. She made me feel like I definitely made the right choice and was valued as a customer. The whole experience was nothing short of spectacular, loved seeing my new purchase coming down the elevator. I have purchased a few cars in my lifetime and I honestly have to say that this was the most pleasant, hassle free experience I have ever had! I literally purchased a car on my sofa. I was pre-approved within minutes. I wanted to search their inventory so I did take a few hours to do that but if I already knew what car I wanted the process would have been even faster. After I chose the car I was interested in all I did was upload a few pieces of information they were asking for and by the next day I was approved and was able to pick up my car the next day. I went to the Carvana closest to me and I was in and out with my car within 30 minutes. Their customer service is top notch. Everyone that I have dealt with from beginning to end whether on the phone, through text or in person has been unbelievably professional, kind and went above and beyond. I am a business owner with great clients. I was told last week that the new vehicle from Carvana would be delivered 10am this morning. Since I had a week notice, I scheduled my route accordingly. This morning 45min before delivery, I receive a text stating the delivering time had changed and that I would be notified of the new delivery time. I guess I was to just call all my scheduled clients and tell them that that would be notified of a new service time and that they would have to sit and wait until I got back to them with the new time. NO it doesn't or shouldn't work that way. I reached out to customer service who called the delivery station and was told that by 11 or 11:30 the vehicle SHOULD be here. I was told that my next option was to reschedule for another day of even cancel the order. I almost canceled the order, and they had no problem with me canceling a $49000 vehicle. That tells you a lot about this company. I do not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Terrible experience. Very little communication and no respect for your time. On December 1st 2020 Carvana made an offer to buy my 2017 Ford Explorer. I accepted the offer. They made arrangements to get the car today December 16th, 2020 at 3PM. They texted me first thing in the morning to remind me and notify me of what was needed to complete the transaction in their words "with the best customer experience possible". I took the day off from my practice. 3PM came and went, nobody showed or called. 4PM came and went, nobody showed or called. 5PM came and went, nobody came or called. Finally just after 5PM I contacted them. I was unable to reach a live person, instead I was connected to a "virtual attendant". I left a message. A few moments later, I received a call from a representative that they were still in Miami, which is about 90 minutes from me, but they would leave A.S.A.P. and hurry here. Just under TWO HOURS later, the representative arrived. The representative was wonderful, couldn't have been nicer. The issue I have is with corporate. You mean to tell me they could not take 15 seconds and place a call to let me know that they were running late? Totally disrespectful of my time. I would never buy a car from this company, obviously they have no respect for the customer. You would think that Carvana would at least offer you a gift certificate for dinner or something for the major inconvenience they created. I would recommend you use Off Lease Only a very professionally run car dealership, which is also located in Miami and has other locations throughout the state. I can't wait to see what type of "form letter" response they post to this review. I'll definetly add to this review if and when I hear from them. read more
