I went with a Toyota Corolla, which I drive personally. I like to stick with something I'm used to. It was about $250 for four days. I arrived right on schedule and the car was waiting for me. The gentleman behind the counter was super helpful and friendly. He walked me through everything I needed to know, even the details on tolls and stuff. The car was about two blocks from their office, but they explained how to get to it and even had a print out of a map to help get me there. It also had pictures so there was no way I was going to miss it. The car was a 2021 and in great condition and had a full tank of gas. Another positive of getting a Toyota is the gas mileage. I went to Sonora and back (roughly 275 miles) and I only had to refill once before I dropped it off... which was also super easy. I simply dropped it off where I picked it up and handed the valet the key. I would totally rent from here again if I find myself in the heart of San Francisco and in need of a ride for a few days.

Customer service was super clear and nice, got all the paperwork done when I arrived, and gave clear directions for pick up and drop off. Cars are located at a garage two blocks up from the office, so adjust accordingly if in a rush or carrying a lot of luggage. Drop off is super easy, just leave the keys with the parking attendant and you're done! My only small issue is that as a small local company, you might be in a bit of a bind if you need service or have an accident after hours and far out of the city.

A real greeting instead of the usual "wait over there and hope" routine most rental counters lean on. Nial at the front desk set the tone right away. He walked us through every coverage, upgrade, and option with total clarity, and the way he explained things actually made the process easier instead of overwhelming. No confusion. No rushed vibe. Just someone who knows the system and communicates it well. Jessica who walked us to the Ford Escape kept the same energy. Friendly, patient, and focused on making sure everything was squared away before we pulled out of the lot. You can tell the team here takes pride in doing things correctly. Pickup and return were both smooth. No weird surprises. They even gave us a moment to gather our things at drop off, which matters when you are juggling luggage and wedding clothes. Getting here note for travelers: The address is 1600 Mission, which is not located at the Sixteenth and Mission BART station. If you are coming from SFO, you will need the train, then the bus. If you skip the bus and try to walk from the station, it becomes a solid stretch. Entirely doable, just something to plan for. Overall, this spot is dialed in. Clear process, sharp staff, and no nonsense. I will keep coming back whenever I need a car in San Francisco.

We needed to have an SUV to drive from where we live here in San Francisco down to where I grew up in San Diego, and after booking the rental through the enterprise app, we came to collect the "premium compact suv" which we'd chosen because the price difference from a "standard" to a "premium" was almost negligible. I was very surprised by how incredibly clean and spacious the lobby was, and then the real 5-star interaction began.. We were assisted by Blake, who was incredibly helpful in our specific situation.. which was: I had a LARGE framed photo that was a Christmas gift for my father and needed that to fit within the trunk of whatever car we were going to rent.. Blake pulled out a BMW X2 for us, which was just a sportier version of the normal SUV (slightly more expensive car to buy) and we realized after checking the trunk that the frame likely would not fit in the trunk, so without hesitation, Blake offered the larger BMW X1 without any price change, no hassle, just did some vehicular Tetris in the Sixt lot and viola, we had a vehicle with enough room for our large cargo! I can't say why so many other people had difficult experiences here, but MY experience with this establishment was incredibly positive and very easy. Likely due in large part to Blake, who was beyond helpful and incredibly personable as well. This last part doesn't really pertain to this location but I might as well include it for anyone else doing the same thing: we rented one way, and dropped the car off at the airport in San Diego to fly back. The drop off took less than 2 minutes and couldn't have been easier. No paperwork, no fuss, just handed over the key (with a full tank of gas, of course), unloaded our luggage, signed a screen, and we're on our way to departures. I'd absolutely use this location again, and with some luck, maybe I'd have Blake helping us again! Perhaps it was using Expedia as the intermediary to rent the car, or perhaps it was Blake helping us with our rental, but this experience was 10/10. Hands down. And I'd like to think I'm very objective when reviewing. Downside?: parking at this location is street-only, which was not an issue for us, as we are SF natives and are very used to finding street parking but it might be stressful for our-of-towners? That's the only downside I could think of. The cost of rentals is what it is.. I can't comment on whether it was really expensive or not because the price of your rental depends largely on many factors. Time of year, type of car, insurance, etc etc. it was fine for us, but, everyone has different situations and I reserved the rental a month in advance. Overall: fantastic experience.

To our pleasant surprise, the agent behind the counter said they had one ready. She was super friendly and helpful. Paperwork and payment were wrapped up in about 5-7 minutes, and we headed up to the 3rd level garage where another rep showed us to our car. That's where the one hiccup happened that cost this review a star. The rep handed us an exit ticket, but when we pulled up to the gate, the machine tried to charge us $190 to leave. My girlfriend darted back to the office while I sprinted upstairs with the ticket, all while a growing line of cars stacked up behind us giving me the death stare of "what the eff are you doing walking away from your car?". Running upstairs, I made the decision to use the stairs because waiting for the elevator was like watching grass grow. The agent upstairs quickly ran the ticket through the validation machine, clearing the charge. Silently in my head I said "dude ever thought of clearing the charge before giving a customer the ticket?". But I was just grateful that he cleared it and ran back downstairs all the while thinking, well at least I'm getting my cardio in for the day. Aside from that stressful detour which I chalked up to another travel adventure story that I can embellish in my older years, the car itself drove beautifully, and the return process at a nearby location just a couple blocks away was a breeze . Directions for return were clearly printed in the paperwork. I've rented from Enterprise many times before and generally had excellent experiences. This one had a minor glitch, but overall, i would definitely rent from them again. Happy travels!

When we politely asked the manager, Ishmael Turner, for an estimated wait time, he became hostile, told us we were "making it worse," and ordered us to leave the area. When I asked for his name, he first dismissed me, then after | asked again, he handed me a business card with someone else's name. I only got his real name from another staff member. While waiting, I witnessed another customer, an Asian woman, who had been there even longer, call someone to let them know she was not going to make it to the funeral because of the delay. When she asked Ishmael for his name, he refused and she took his photo, he then blocked her rental car so she couldn't leave and eventually called the police on her. When I tried to help her since she was crying, he told me to leave and threatened me with the same treatment if I didn't. This experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and honestly disturbing. If you speak up after a long wait, expect to be treated even worse. The whole process was disorganized from start to finish. I rarely leave reviews, but this felt important.
