Very clean inside & out, friendly helpful service, great ice cream. Icy cold inside -- perfect for a hot summer day!

Average chain ice cream place. Some fun flavors but nothing super inspiring. Decent proximity to subway and beach.

This place is bare bones. No decorations and no eating inside the establishment. The service wasn't that great. Haven't been to a Carvel in a decade. I'm not sure, I'll be going back or just not to this location. At least greet the customers. I went for the bogo deal for nation ice cream day. It was only for the soft serve ice cream and nothing else. Only had 4 flavors, so I stuck with vanilla. Can't go wrong with that. I do wonder how their non soft serve flavors taste like and the array of it all. Maybe next time...

I guess the official start to the ice cream season is this weekend, yet last week's temperatures had to have you all thinking and eating your tasty treats. For me, it's not so - for you see - I hate ice cream. It annoys me - it's cold and I typically don't like cold things in my mouth. And I've never really had a flavor to call my own, the pop up bars from the Good Humor truck were fun but I enjoyed the piston pushing up each lick moreso than the sweetness upon my toungue. So she said "I could go for some ice cream" and "go for" were the troubling words - we just enjoyed a cocktail so driving to get this weird cold pleasure made absolutely no sense to me. So I told her to settle in with a fist full of Christmas Chocolates and a glass of milk and chill out a bit and see where it goes. Well, it didn't go my way but hers, so we "went for" ( go for - went for -- those same words are ringing in my head right now) So we walked and her concoction cane out of a high metal vassel with a curly q design and then it got rolled in sprinkles of every color. And so I'm awaiting the inevitable drip down the sleeve which I guess to all of you ice cream weirdos is the mark of good homemade ice cream.. yuck.. I'm so breaking up with her if that happens.. the other day -- she ate her peas ,, individually with the same single right spire, wow, that was some entertainment during dinner.. So I got a vanilla Flying Saucer and needed a rock hammer to dislodge any single part of it. I couldn't bite it because believe it or not, I have a small mouth and I couldn't pry the top nor bottom wafers off because that would have been a crumbly messy situation. This while love of ice cream makes absolutely no sense to me

Wednesday's are BOGO days. The shop is really clean and spacious. The cup isn't quite filled to the brim as opposed to other spots I've been to, but they do pour over a full ladle of wet toppings. The dry toppings really are hit or miss because I've had them fresh and I've also had them stale so I just stay away to be safe. The employees aren't quite cold or welcoming/friendly so it just feels strictly professional/business and that's perfectly fine lol.

Yummy yummy in my tummy. I went to baskin robbins first and that was a huge let down. This place at least had my cookies and cream lol! I'd come back

It's small, but the ice cream is always good here. Sadly they removed the sitting area ever since the pandemic.

I remember I would frequently patronized Ralph's at 497 Newbridge Road, East Meadow, NY with my then boyfriend and we would take home large cups including several pints for his father. Indeed, this Ralph's is priced higher than competitor Rita's. (I have never visited The Lemon Ice King of Corona due to the inaccessibility location via mass transit. Thus, I cannot make a juxtaposition for comment). I am willing to pay for high quality of ingredients, good taste and abundance for quantity. Ralph's is my ultimate brand of Italian ice to seek and intake - Uncle Louie G comes second and nothing else. Ralph's always have a extensive menu of flavors for classic Italian Ice (water ice), cream ice (sherbet), ice cream, smoothies, and "Tornados" (blended treats). Italian ice made correctly without any pieces of ice and water at the bottom of the cup for the flavor to be diluted. I am old school traditional conservative and choose my default favorite type: classic Italian water ice. I ventured here on a cold day during the Christmas 2025 season rather than during a hot stifling summer day. At day's end it was a sweet phlegmatic ephemeral moment. Customer service is very attentive, efficient, courteous and polite as I was the only patron in the house. I've learned that (I think) most Ralph's locations will be closed during the winter months and re-open March 2026 since Italian ice and ice cream is a seasonal operating business. Oh! I always enjoy Italian ice year round and wished it were open year round which their website claims "fat free & cholesterol free." Space is large for patrons to order, wait and order pick-up for this location. I like the large wall-to-wall decal mural which is specific to the Forest Hills locale as it was my one-time former residence. There is one in-door bench which I sat to thoroughly intake to enjoy my sweet treat. I did receive a sales receipt. I would gladly visit again for watermelon, strawberry, mango, orange and cherry flavors. Small peach Italian ice, $6.19 The scooping for this small cup is large and very abundant. The flavor taste like summer's peach flair which contains actual pieces of peach fresh fruit. It does not contain dried processed fruit. Wow! It is a justifying sweet ending for a long haul arduous bitter day. Ralph's accurate correctively produces Italian ice as a wondrous delight which is thoroughly satisfying to the taste.

I went with a sundae and, at around $7, it felt worth it--good portion, hits the spot, no complaints on quality. That said, this is very much a grab-and-go setup. There's basically one bench, so don't expect to hang out. Only real downside was the service. Staff were efficient and got the job done, but the energy was flat. When you're selling ice cream and ices, you're basically selling happiness--some enthusiasm would go a long way.

Twice I have requested a flavor labeled over a full container only to be told that they do not have that flavor. The second time, the person (minimally) helping me would not even tell me what the correct flavor was she just demanded "Do you want it?" It is often hard to discern when the person who is supposed to be helping me is talking to me versus talking to a co-worker. It is hard to imagine anyone making a purchase there and coming away with the impression that they are a valued customer. It is very sad because with some minimal interpersonal skills, I do not see any reason this location could not be very successful.
