Average chain ice cream place. Some fun flavors but nothing super inspiring. Decent proximity to subway and beach.

This place is bare bones. No decorations and no eating inside the establishment. The service wasn't that great. Haven't been to a Carvel in a decade. I'm not sure, I'll be going back or just not to this location. At least greet the customers. I went for the bogo deal for nation ice cream day. It was only for the soft serve ice cream and nothing else. Only had 4 flavors, so I stuck with vanilla. Can't go wrong with that. I do wonder how their non soft serve flavors taste like and the array of it all. Maybe next time...

I guess the official start to the ice cream season is this weekend, yet last week's temperatures had to have you all thinking and eating your tasty treats. For me, it's not so - for you see - I hate ice cream. It annoys me - it's cold and I typically don't like cold things in my mouth. And I've never really had a flavor to call my own, the pop up bars from the Good Humor truck were fun but I enjoyed the piston pushing up each lick moreso than the sweetness upon my toungue. So she said "I could go for some ice cream" and "go for" were the troubling words - we just enjoyed a cocktail so driving to get this weird cold pleasure made absolutely no sense to me. So I told her to settle in with a fist full of Christmas Chocolates and a glass of milk and chill out a bit and see where it goes. Well, it didn't go my way but hers, so we "went for" ( go for - went for -- those same words are ringing in my head right now) So we walked and her concoction cane out of a high metal vassel with a curly q design and then it got rolled in sprinkles of every color. And so I'm awaiting the inevitable drip down the sleeve which I guess to all of you ice cream weirdos is the mark of good homemade ice cream.. yuck.. I'm so breaking up with her if that happens.. the other day -- she ate her peas ,, individually with the same single right spire, wow, that was some entertainment during dinner.. So I got a vanilla Flying Saucer and needed a rock hammer to dislodge any single part of it. I couldn't bite it because believe it or not, I have a small mouth and I couldn't pry the top nor bottom wafers off because that would have been a crumbly messy situation. This while love of ice cream makes absolutely no sense to me

Wednesday's are BOGO days. The shop is really clean and spacious. The cup isn't quite filled to the brim as opposed to other spots I've been to, but they do pour over a full ladle of wet toppings. The dry toppings really are hit or miss because I've had them fresh and I've also had them stale so I just stay away to be safe. The employees aren't quite cold or welcoming/friendly so it just feels strictly professional/business and that's perfectly fine lol.

Yummy yummy in my tummy. I went to baskin robbins first and that was a huge let down. This place at least had my cookies and cream lol! I'd come back

It's small, but the ice cream is always good here. Sadly they removed the sitting area ever since the pandemic.

We got the ginger milk pudding. Do think it's a bit pricey ($10) since it's an easy dessert to make but I guess it's all the theatrics. They pour the dessert in front of you and put a sand glass on top. Once sand glass is done, so is the dessert and you can even rest a spoon on top. The dessert is very smooth, barely a solid, and its ginger taste is very strong- which I like. Strong ginger but pairs well with the milk and good amount of sugar. It is a bit spicy but I like it this way. They do have a lot of other desserts as well as savory items on the menu. Intrigued by their savory menu and will definitely come back to try them next time.

I am currently following a strict diet regimen for one more month, but after that, I will definitely come back for some of their tasty ice cream. My wife and I rave about the fresh, high-quality ingredients used in their pastries. Standouts include their pistachio mille-feuille, fresh fruit tarts, and savory turkey-swiss croissants. They also offer an expanding menu of vegan pastries. Most of the patrons like me enjoy the fast, accommodating service, especially from the dedicated baristas. Lighter flavor but the floral flavor does come out at the end of a bite. Coconut milk jelly: the lightest of the flavor but still sweet and flavorful enough to come through. There's a dusting of graham crackers and strawberry jelly to complement. We also got a hot matcha jasmine latte but it was actually cold. It seems like it normally comes iced and perhaps they have no way of warming up the jasmine part. There's a points program and tons of promotions that rotate. While the persimmon cake SEEMED to be made in house, it was very clear that everything off their food menu required minimal preparation (ie. for the dumplings, it was just har cow). I also thought their cocktails were okay, and out of the three we got, none stood out to me. I did enjoy their tea, however. But, it was also fairly expensive for what it was (~$50).
