If you're looking for your Carvel fix in Queens, here's where you need to go. Getting here was a little confusing but once I figured it out, I was happy to get here. It's small but they do have Fudgie the Whale cake (something I wasn't aware of until the day of my birthday when I'd already bought another cake), sell toys in addition to ice cream and did have marshmallow topping for my order (to be eaten later since I came from dinner and dessert elsewhere). The ice cream itself was yummy and kept well in my freezer though I smelled something ick when I walked in that kept haunting me after I left. I never did figure out what was causing it. I asked why a small cup, I gave a medium cup? and his answer was "Don't worry about it I'm giving it to you for free" I said, "How is it free, I paid full price for it, you are not giving me a refund, how is it free? I received an email confirming that hey received both my order and my photo, and I prayed to the ice cream cake Gods that my paw patrol cake for my now 4 year old will look atleast half as lovely as I was imagining. Fast forward to Sunday, my day of pick up, I arrived over an hour earlier than I had indicated I would be in for it, but I figured it was probably done the night before so I wasn't too worried. We called to order a fudgy the whale cake for our son's 2nd birthday but Jennifer the store manager who is just amazing to work with encouraged us to have more fun with it. His favorite thing in the world is the ice cream truck and Jennifer told us how you can put an image on top of the cake for $12 so we found a picture we liked and the result was better than we could have ever hoped. We were able to pay with Zelle and the cake was ready for pickup right on time even on Labor Day weekend. They did a great job putting his name on the side and adding little rainbow sprinkles. It made his little party feel super special and it also tasted SO GOOD with all the chocolate crunches inside.
