I have taken my vehicles to Carworx for 20+ years and always felt like I got good service. But this review is because they really took care of me last week. I had sold my home and was about to drive 1,000 miles to my new home when I had major engine trouble. It is a 12 years old Jeep with many miles, so I had been living on borrowed time. The guys did everything they said they would do and on time. I had two more unrelated issues with my vehicle during the last 3 days I lived there. The guys at Carworx made sure I had my vehicle back and working 100% on the day I was scheduled to leave. They could have blown me off because they knew I was leaving the area - therefore I wasn't going to be a future customer. Had a serious brake issue on a 2010 Subaru where the dealer rates and recommended changes didn't make sense for the age and value of the car. Carworx reviewed everything carefully and took a very safe (most important for brakes), but much more reasonable approach to resolving the issues. Can't recommend them highly enough! read more

My vehicle had stalled and I took in to have the fuel pump tested. A day later they called and said my spark plugs were bad and needed replaced. He told me spark plugs and wires were 225.00. I wrote this down. Seemed high then Day later I called snd he said fuel pump was tested and ok but would recommend spark plugs and wires and an induction service ?? 553.00 total. I asked how much plugs and wires were and he said 334 now??? I'm told them that's too high and I'd pick up car next day. They charged me 90 bucks for that diagnostics. I came in for an oil change and to have another issue looked at and they were quick, inexpensive, and were able to give me a quote on what my other repair would be all while I waited. I have been taking my vehicle to Carworx since I moved to Milford and everytime Gary exceeds my expectations. I dropped my car Wednesday night after hours, received a call Thursday and was told due to the complexity of the repair would probably be Monday before completed. Do NOT take your car here. I took my car in for an oil change because they were a little cheaper with an online coupon. It should have been the simplest of car care tasks and they completely messed it up. Also, no inspection with oil change and I asked for my tire pressure to be checked but they didn't do that either. I had to take my car to Tire Discounters to have the tire pressure checked and adjusted later. I took my car home and started noticing these little wet spots showing up in my driveway and in my parking spot at work. At first I thought it was just the AC run off but when they didn't evaporate, it was clear something else was happening. Then I starting catching faint whiffs of a smell. It was oil. My car was leaking oil. So I called them back and arranged to bring the car back in to be checked. The owner took the car back for about 20 minutes. He brings it back and says that it was just excess oil on the car shield where his worker did not clean it off. No apology that I had to bring it back or that his guy didn't do his job. I said that was a lot of oil and asked if there was anything else. He said no it wasn't leaking and he just blew off the car shield. I decided to get a 2nd opinion because it seemed fishy. I took my car to another shop and showed them the pictures of puddles in my driveway. He agreed that was a lot of oil for it not to be leaking. The guy invited me back into the shop from the get go so I could see what they were checking. He raised it up and showed me that the oil ring had been replaced, the shield had been cleaned but it was when he checked the oil dipstick that we were really surprised. The car was so overfilled with oil, they had to drain some out before it damaged my car. They had to vacuum out over a quart and a half of extra oil. I took pictures of everything. I went back to Carworx to talk to the owner and I showed him the pictures. He didn't apologize for his worker's mistake or for his own but became just this side of hostile. He claimed he didn't do anything, just blew the oil off the car shield and that he didn't have the car long enough to fix anything. He also denied the picture I showed him of the oil that was vacuumed out, saying that was only about a quart. I stared at him and said it was still way overfilled to which he shrugged. He then stated that he didn't even check it...so why did I bring the car back if the whole point was for him to check his mechanic's work? So now I don't know if the first guy overfilled it that badly or if the owner dumped more oil in when I brought it back after he fixed the leak... without checking the levels. Either way a simple oil change became a major hassle. And if anything goes wrong with my engine which was running great before I took it there, I will be seeking legal options. Either these guys are so incompetent a oil change is too much for them or worse, they are purposely trying to blow people's engines to get more money. I am not sure which is true. I expect the later though since the owner didn't apologize or offer to make things right and went straight to denial. I do know I will never bring my car back to them and I will make sure none of my friends or family do either. And hopefully, anybody who reads this will also be spared the headache. read more

Had a truck break down. Fast and friendly. The problem was when they said you will need new front brakes SOON. They quoted $375. They called back and said I needed wheel bearings. $300 to change those. When we go to pay the front brakes quoted was just parts and the wheel bearings was $300 each... parts only!! So the front brakes cost me $1,700.00. Make sure when they quote, it's for the parts and labor and the complete job. If there is a next time, it will be quoted in writing. read more

In and out so fast they are so sweet. Was on my way to work and my wipers were messed up and needed new ones before the big snow storm hit and they took care of me super fast and got me back on the road in no time!! Topped off my wiper fluid at no charge as well. Definitely recommend!!! read more

We drive a good 30 minutes to have our cars worked on at Carworx. No one tries to sell us things we don't need, pricing is fair and staff is knowledgeable and friendly! Because of these things, we can't bring ourselves to go someplace closer to home. read more

I called and asked Robby if they had previously replaced my front or rear pads because I now needed rear pads and didn't think they would go bad in a few months but I could not remember. He said the bill just said pads and that to bring the car in and they would have to look at it to figure it out. Brought the car in and after they had my car on the rack, he then printed out a copy of the bill in which it DID say front. That was all I needed. But, since I would not agree to pad, rotors, and calipers on the spot, Robby charged me a diagnostic fee of 30 bucks. I never asked nor agreed for the car to be diagnosed. I already knew it needed rear pads! Then, my husband called and asked for a refund and Gary(the owner) told him he was just looking for free work and wasn't going to spend all day talking to him and HUNG UP! NICE!!!! read more
