Avoid at all costs. Management is horrible and the expectations are ridiculous. We were very upfront about booking a bachelor/bachelorette trip for 22 people. After seeing the negative reviews regarding managements noise intolerance, the bride checked with management and was clear and upfront about the size of the group and the inevitable volume that comes with that, and was ASSURED that we'd be fine. Property management's response to a neighbors noise complaint was to yell and swear at both the bride and groom, completely disrupting and derailing a once in a lifetime event that was supposed to be a celebration of their love, but they had to step away to deal with the genuinely shocking display of unprofessionalism from this management team. We were told we were the first noise complaint they've received in two years, but there's a review from a few months ago saying they received a similar swear filled message regarding being too loud, so that was a blatant lie. Our group was very respectful of following the frankly unreasonable rules but that still wasn't good enough. In conclusion, management is on a power trip, and unless you're planning an entirely silent indoor retreat, I'd book elsewhere and save yourself the stress of having to deal with such a poorly managed operation. Management knows how to ruin a weekend. If you're considering staying here, be prepared to feel harassed the entire time. Don't even think about enjoying the outdoor space or making any kind of noise--even during the day--because management will be on you in an instant with false noise complaints and threats of eviction, well before quiet hours even begin. I stayed last weekend with a respectful, well-behaved group of friends, and our experience was completely overshadowed by how controlling and unprofessional the owners were. Instead of feeling welcome, we felt like we were under constant surveillance. It was clear they were looking for any excuse to intimidate or micromanage us. My friends and I (a group of 22) stayed at this house, and from the start, the experience was disappointing. The noise restrictions are absolutely over the top -- we were respectful, followed all the posted quiet hours, and still got complaints. It felt like we were being watched the entire time, and no matter what we did, it wasn't good enough. What really crossed the line was how the company treated my friend who booked the house. Despite us being calm and cooperative, he was yelled at by management and threatened with being kicked out -- with one night left in our stay. Completely uncalled for and stressful. Truly horrible management from Tyler. I have never heard a management company disrespect it's guests like this. Tyler screamed at the person who booked this house and was very angry and hostile. Overall the house is fine, the rooms are much smaller than the pictures show, the house is stained and dirty in different parts, and the outside is nice but you aren't allowed to use it even during the day. You can't be in the pool if you are taking and there is never outside music allowed. Overall a very bad experience and I would not come back here or recommend it to anyone until they remove Tyler as the manager. read more

We were met with profanity and yelling over the phone, and a threat that we had been kicked out via email. Prior to booking they assured us a group of 22 people would be no problem at all and that negative reviews around noise were inaccurate / we had nothing to worry about. However, to save you some time, here is an abridged review: In short, staying at Casa Bella was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had in terms of paying for lodgings. The people who run this place are terrible. They are slimy, rude, and completely incorrigible. Now, please find my unabridged review below: My friends and I booked this place for a weekend earlier this summer, so I will start with the booking process. We booked Casa Bella through their own website about a year in advance. The down deposit to even book this place is extraordinarily high. Nevertheless, we paid it by e-check, which was an option on their website. Fast forward a year, and we are roughly two weeks out from our check-in date. We are informed, via e-mail, that they have not received our down deposit, and if we do not provide proof to them that we paid it, they will be canceling our stay. Of course, we informed them that we paid the down deposit a year ago via e-check and provided the order number. Casa Bella's response to this was that we must be lying because they didn't have a pay by e-check option. We attempted to call the office several times but never received a call back. After a series of emails, where many were left unpresponded to, we finally received an email back that their bookeeper had failed somewhere in their process. So, needless to say, we started on shaky footing as the entire booking process was needlessly unprofessional and demeaning. Now, the stay itself. After checking in, we as a group were outside acquainting ourselves with the grounds. While doing so, a neighbor rode by on a bicycle and immediately started accosting us, and taking videos of us. In response to this, the wonderful management of Casa Bella called us and yelled at us to go inside and that it "was quiet hours." This occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the summer when it was full daylight out. However, we went inside so as to not make anybody mad. The next night, we were up at 11:30 p.m., socializing and listening to music inside. My wife's phone was upstairs charging. The management called us 6 times in 10 minutes. When we saw the missed calls, we immediately called back. They denied our calls and responded with a text that informed us that they were kicking us out a full day ahead of our checkout time with no refund. We attempted to get them on the phone and our calls were denied every time. Instead, they texted us back with progressively ruder messages. After informing them that we would leave the premises in the morning but would be pursuing our money for the remaining stay they went silent. The next morning, I finally got the management team on the phone. I began the phone call how anyone would with a, "good morning, how are you?" This launched the property manager into a 5-10 minute uninterrupted tyrade in which she yelled, cussed, and berated me. In this conversation, she fabricated rule violations that did not occur, ostensibly in hopes that she would not face pushback. They ended up letting us stay, but only after legal action was threatened. In conclusion, I can hardly imagine a worse way to run a property. Truthfully, my opinion is that Casa Bella engages in deceptive business practices and should be avoided at all costs. read more

I would NOT recommend this place. This place looks nothing like these pictures. The outside patio is filthy with dust, dirt, and bird feces everywhere. There are cobwebs everywhere. There is an infestation of spiders everywhere. There are bees swarming the entry way by the fountains. I was stung by a bee and the property manager Lori was mad when I mentioned the bee issue and told me she didn't care. She also was mad I said anything. ( I'm allergic and had a huge reaction) The experience was horrible as the property manager did not accommodate any of my concerns after my awful stay. The property was fine, grounds could use some freshening up, kitchen and whole house is much smaller than it appears in the photos. This was not a problem for us as we didn't have that many people. The lack of friendless and continual threats to "follow the rules" were very off putting. Couldn't disagree more with these reviews. The house on the main floor smells like sewage...sewage! My group was there for a birthday and we were told we couldn't go outside past 10pm? That's crazy. I stayed in the cottage where the sink constantly leaked and was not fixed, there were ants all over the walls and the beds were hard as rocks. Also, I have never been in a place where you have to do half the cleaning for yourself. All food and trash must be removed and the dishes done. We paid $500 for early check in - yet when we arrived the hot tub was drained...well there was a bit of dirty water in it...and it was filled again but never got past 70 degrees, and they were still cleaning. Rather than do the right thing the owner called us liars that it was ready...it absolutely was not. Seriously, go anywhere but this house. read more

We stayed at the Casa Bella Inn with Marga (the owner) for a weekend wedding. We had a lovely wine and cheese plate waiting upon our arrival. Every morning was a lovely hot meal ranging from bacon, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, hot coffee, etc... Marga pays attention to the details whether it's the great food, knowledge of the area and local events, quality linens, etc... One key feature we love is the property recognizes the value of adults only in the main house. After a long day of wine tasting one doesn't want to be woken up early by little ones. There is a second stand-alone house where families with kids can stay. (I think) We will definitely stay her again. Thank you Marga! read more

This place is a class act. Really enjoyed 3 days here. Well located. The owner is on site and is wonderful and very attentive. The breakfast was first class and creative. (head to an all you can eat buffet if you area really hungry). The rooms were well done, very clean and taken care of. We rented the entire property for the weekend. In terms of the booking process and communications, everything went great (worked with Tyler who was very responsive). The property itself is okay for the price, the web site photo's make it look larger than it is and while the master suites beds were comfortable the rest weren't. The water pressure was also dismal and the age of the property shows. It all started to go downhill from the time we arrived and met the on-site property manager (Laurie). From the get-go I felt like a 5 year-old being lectured on the historic property that must be treated with the utmost care. No welcome, how was your trip and standard welcoming talk one can expect from a host. I accidentally parked slightly on the edge of the lawn (by perhaps 2 inches) and apologized when Laurie pointed it out, but was then lectured on how it damages the sprinklers and how I'm blocking emergency vehicles and on and on. We were then told our dogs can't be in the main house, contrary to the prior approval & extra payment - when I explained this and assured her they are well behaved and not allowed on furniture etc, she abruptly told me "I don't want them scratching up the historic floors"! I decided to take that up with Tyler to ensure we were not breaching our contract, which we weren't. During the house tour, she decided to call one of the 5 yr old kids over in the group to tell him how the old phone on the hallway wall was to "look at and not touch" - really? The kid isn't even tall enough to reach it! Then came the outdoor tour of the hot tub area where I was told not too let the dogs dig up the plants or pee on the lawn, again I explained they are well behaved and we would take them off the property to do their business. Then she advised not to let the kids sit in the hot tub too long because the last group had kids who ended up with a terrible rash! WTH, I didn't even know how to respond to that. The tour ended with Laurie telling me she lives right behind the property and to "respect her privacy" and not coming knocking on the door. So overall, a "meh" property and terrible customer service experience for something that's advertised to be far more grand and welcoming. read more

Had a great overnight stay here. The innkeeper and the owner are very friendly and happy to help you plan out your time in Sonoma Valley. They accommodated a vegan breakfast for us which was tasty. The portion was way too small for me though. Would have been nice if they added a bread basket on the table. The rooms are very clean, welcoming and beautifully decorated. Guys just avoid. This woman is so litigious. We rented the whole house but instead got 9 rooms and a utility closet crawling with bugs while the inn keeper lives in the center in the house. She lives in the very middle of the house with her door open and spies on you. She texted me about our conversations all day. She posted everywhere about no glass near hot tub but doesn't provide plastic wear. We purchased plastic ware. There is no ice in house - you are expected to walk to the store - which we did. There is no air conditioning on main floor - they brought in a portable ac unit. We paid hundreds for early check in and it wasn't ready. She told us graphically about the very very sick people that barely just left. We were ok with it but she wouldn't refund that. The hot tub was empty - that's fine but they filled it the next day and set it to 70. I was ok waiting but why take 24 hours and set it to 70 and take 2 days from us? The house has major water damage in the basement and the inn keeper said they have dead animals in basement which are responsible for the smell in the basement. They mask it with strong fragrance things which have toxic affects for some people. She harassed us from the beginning. It was a special occasion but we could even play bocci ball at 5 in afternoon (July) in broad daylight. The young woman that owns the place is not professional and threatened us. Yes we had a smoker but he smoked on the driveway - the inn keeper would walk out and photograph the smoker. Just skip it / honestly go anywhere else. Don't pay for the whole house either - at least realize you are roommates with the innkeeper who watches you like your grandma. read more

Absolutely incredible stay! The home is beautiful and the owners could not have been more warm and helpful. There's a beautiful hot tub cabana perfect for relaxing with a glass (or bottle) of Sonoma's best wines. The breakfast is 5 star (you'd think you were in a fancy restaurant!) and every little detail is perfect in the rooms and bathrooms. Quiet and serene, this is an ideal place to get away from the busy world but a hop and skip to some of Sonoma's best spots. Perfect location for hiking, dining and, of course, wine tasting. We will not be staying anywhere else during any of our return visits to Sonoma County. The only downside is that it made it that much harder to go home. :) read more

We stayed here with 18 people to celebrate a 50 year birthday and a 40 year birthday. We have never been to wine country before. We rented the whole entire house and carriage house. The care taker lives on the property and watches every move. Once we got here there was a list of rules...like we were 10 years old and needed our mommies to tell us what to do. There is no music or smoking outside during the day time ...even though you are right next to a highway and can hear the cars going by all day and all night. You can't be outside after 10pm you must be inside only. The Dolce suite smells like a cat lived in it. The kitchen is tiny and run down. The care taker harasses you all day and evening. Telling you everything you can't do. She was horrible. We also paid $500 for early check in and the house was no where near ready and of course no refund. The hot tub was at 70 degrees. The worst part of our trip is this house, Casa Bella. The house cost darn near 16 thousand dollars for 3 nights and we were treated horribly. Save your money!! Triple read your contract and ask if there are any other rules not included in the contract. We will NEVER waste our time or money on this place again and I suggest you don't either. read more

We had an amazing stay! Marga was beyond accommodating, even before we arrived. Because she knows the area so well, she offered suggestions that made our trip even better! The rooms at the inn are all lovely - the decor is tasteful and relaxing while still feeling very elegant and romantic. There is something for everyone - a bocci court with balls that light up, so you can play at night, a jacuzzi, beautiful gardens, and comfortable spaces in and around the property to relax, read, drink wine, and/or chat. The breakfast each day was fantastic! Leslie is an amazing chef! I wish I could bring her home with me. She was creative and inventive when planning out breakfast each day, which was organic. Her scones were delightful! Light and buttery ... They were heavenly! We really had a wonderful time and are so thankful to Marga, Leslie, and Maria for their hospitality - they truly went above and beyond to make sure we had the greatest stay!
