Service was excellent, our server Patti was pretty awesome. So was the rest of the staff very attentive. Very clean, has a very cool vibe. The menu had some interesting options, difficult to choose. Churro dessert was excellent Guacamole was very good and fresh but not enough for the 4 of us. Music was loud and non-Mexican , seemed very out of place and made it difficult to talk. Main course - Mixed Bag- the Buro taco was terrific, actually very well made. Highly recommended. But the Burrito though was flavorless , not a drop of any spice. Not recommended. Left 3/4 of it . Needed a little kick. Interestingly none of our 4 meals had any cheese. Which is strange but not sure we needed it. Margaritas were very well made , we really liked them. The art work outside and inside was phenomenal. Worth seeing. The seating process is a bit disjointed , needs some organizing. Lastly I do recommend not getting a booth, they are tight and the one next to us seemed to come apart on a different family. They were very busy which is good , so I will cut them some slack. Had lunch here today and we were very happy with the entire experience. Some initial reviews haven't been great but I really think that it was all just a matter of working out the kinks of a brand new restaurant. The decor is beautiful and fits the theme in a sophisticated way. The service was also wonderful - we were greeted warmly and sat quickly. Our server, Suzanne, was very attentive and friendly. She nicely balanced checking on us often without hovering. We ordered a classic margarita (yum!), the chips and guacamole (also very good - though next time we will ask if we can have it made a little more spicy), El Gringo tacos and Al Pastor tacos. I don't leave yelp reviews but this new place seems to be a trend in the area overall and I'm over it. The food in this place is overpriced, unimaginative, and poorly executed. It's obvious that an unqualified person was behind the creation and execution of this menu. There is no way this business model can be sustainable. Give guests unexceptional food and charge them a premium. It's very unfortunate that restauranteurs take advantage of their patrons through laziness. I had a burrito and the tortilla was comparable to Ortega brand. I wouldn't purchase that in a supermarket let alone pay $20 again for one at this establishment. Also the guacamole was pretty horrendous, definitely not made to order, and tasted like lime pudding. I haven't been to Chili's since the early 2000s, is it still around? This is very reminiscent except they had bottomless chips. And at Chilis you knew what you were in for, mediocre chain fare in an uninteresting loud environment. I dined here with five other friends and the overall consensus of the group was not good. The experience of eating at this place was very disappointing and it wasn't the standard kinks a new restaurant has. Opening a restaurant is extremely costly I do not see why this place needs to exist, other than being a quick way of flipping a buck by selling unreasonably priced drab tacos. Nothing on the menu was new, exciting, or well-executed. My table wanted to order tequila there is over a hundred supposedly but there's no menu? The basic premise of this restaurant seems to be outdated and some patrons are not as dull as you believe them to be. We decided to try Casa Calaveras this past Sunday. The atmosphere and decorations are nice. Staff was pleasant. We ordered the Guacamole and chips as there were no chips and salsa once we sat like other Mexican restaurants provide in the area. We shared the chicken tacos, and they were very dry. There's not much on the tacos - some Cilantro and onions. We were looking for at least some pico and cheese on the tacos. Bar area is nice to watch games. Maybe just a good place for that and have some drinks. We will give it another try. read more

Service was good very attentive drinks are strong food is fantastic the only thing I would advise is they rate the heat level on some dishes. We love spicy but for an average person it might be way too . Nicely decorated and good view of tv screens if watching a sport; wherever you sit on the bar side. For starters: waitress (Lidia?) recommended Shrimp ceviche (augachili) I can eat everyday it's that good! Had grilled swordfish very good but again if you don't like heat it wouldn't be for you. Tried this place when it first opened - and was underwhelmed and overpriced. Gave it another chance and got takeout this weekend: completely overpriced, under seasoned, and underwhelming. This place has it all, amazing atmosphere and a great place for a friends and family gathering. They definitely took the time to add the little details, murals, flower wall, etc. are so cool! Large bar with super comfy seats. If your looking for a tequila bar this is the place to go and the bartender was great. Food is always very fresh, amazing guac. and the burrito is delicious. Read the reviews before going for lunch (not great) & I really wanted to like it! The service was excellent, & the restaurant itself is beautiful & sparkling clean; it has a nice outdoor seating area too. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos & I'm sad to say that the pork was so overcooked that that little pig died in vain. Our waitress brought out a nice plate w salsa & sour cream...that helped the dryness considerably. It seems like the only reason that this place is packed is because it's the new place in town. I doubt we will be back. We were very exited to check this place out. People were waiting to get in. So there is a great need for good food. this is not it. Decoration is like TGIF and other chain restaurants (to me it was cold not cozy at all). Food they have everything precooked and sitting there like buffet and when you order they just make your dish and bring it to. I am going to assume there is no dish that is made fresh. Chicken looked pieces of every part of the chicken steak was greasy. Drinks! Well tap beer is not that hard to pour but special drinks I think they need more practice. Wanted to love this place so bad as another staple option. The atmosphere was good. The staff was great, very kind and attentive but the food was a huge disappointment. The photos on instagram of food are apparently very done up, what you get is very, very different. My el gringo tacos were sloppy, half filled and very liquidy. They looked like someone sat on them. No sides with the meal, had to order separately. Rice was mediocre and beans had a strange taste to them. Salsa and chips also had to be paid for and both salsas were hot. I like hot food, but I like a choice of mild in a salsa and it just wasn't there. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. First thing was the service? So good, our server was very attentive and came back for our drink orders like 3 times bc of all the options. She was funny and sweet, and she recommended the Birria tacos and they were soooo good honestly it was the best I've had so far. The drinks were good as well like the strawberry mule. BUT THE CHERRY ON TOP WAS THEIR CHURROS!! OMG we were soooooo glad we decided to get them and they did NOT disappoint. They were so fresh it was crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside! And I loved them with the chocolate dip it came with. We are definitely coming back! Also the place itself was really nice. Very clean and cute. There's this little decor by the bathroom that's a nice background for pics. Party of four and we all tried different entrees and we were all happy with our choices. A disappointment. We had been looking forward to this restaurant since good Mexican food is in short supply close to where we live. This is not it. This restaurant follows the recent pattern of charging separately for everything on the menu. And for things that were traditionally included without extra cost. For example: chips and salsa automatically provided to your table? Nope. They charge for that. Rice and beans with your tacos? Uh, sorry. That's extra. And the beef tacos are $18. That's for three tacos served in a metal pan. A metal pan. Guacamole? $14 with chips. Forgot to mention (editing) that it had way too much lime in it. No salsa provided. In fact you have to ask for salt and pepper. I m surprised they didn't charge for that, too. Margarita was not served in a Margarita glass and tasted of nothing but alcohol. $12. Service ? A bunch of post high school bros talking about cars while we tried to place a drink order. They are young and new but where's the supervisor? They need some more training. Went there for my first time last night for dinner with a friend. The set up was very nice and so were the people. That was about all that was good about this place. The menu was minimal to me, chips that were put on the table could've used more salt, dinner could've been more flavorful from Taco Bell. Today my friend and I both woke up with stomach cramps and going to the bathroom. I would definitely put money on it being the food at this place. My vodka and club soda didn't even taste like it should. Would not recommend this restaurant. it was what I call a one and done. We waited about an hour on Valentines Day. Totally expected a wait so I'm not upset about that. What seemed odd is that we waited so long but the food came so fast once we were seated. We sat down ordered a round of drinks and some nachos and the nachos arrived 5 mins later. Great, right? So we put in our dinner order shortly after. Some al pastor tacos and a cali burrito and those came out fast too. Too fast to be honest. We hadn't even made a dent in the app when our dinner came out. So we ended up staying longer because we were just picking at all this food we had at our table. Rice and beans do not automatically come with your dinner like a typical Mexican place so you have to order those separate. Overall, the food was good and the drinks were tasty. Our server was great. I don't think you can even call this Mexican food. The margheritas were so meh. And overpriced. They claim to have over 50 tequilas but didnt produce a tequila menu upon request. The server whipped out a digital menu thing and proceeded to "show" the tequilas....but it had no details.....or prices even. So we didn't do any tequila tasting, I guess all the tequila bottles on the shelf behind the bar are for show. The food menu was tiny and had a few traditional dishes that tasted like the chef had never had mexican food before. Barely any flavor for the birria tacos. The Portuguese roll with my $22! torta was stale. The burrito was boring. The guac did not taste fresh and we got like 10 gimmicky Mexican flag-colored chips with it. The $20+ boring tacos didn't come with rice and beans...???? Overall dinner was more than $250 for 5 people. I had a feeling it was going to be bad when we walked in and saw the corny murals on the wall and Mexican-ish "style". Clearly, not one person of Latin heritage was consulted in the process of launching this restaurant. And ya know what, if the price were lower and it wasn't an average of $50+ per person for this subpar food and experience it probably wouldn't have bothered me so much. This seems to be the trend for restaurants in this area now. Overpriced garbage food/drinks and bad experiences, it was like flushing money down the toilet.
