I got a burrito bowl this time and I really liked it. I want to say, I like it better than Chipotle. It's not as spicy which I don't mind but my family aren't spicy adventurers. Generous portions were hot and tasty. I especially liked the spicy pickled cabbage slaw. I just ate Saturday's leftovers today (Monday) and they're still good! I also liked the rice choices of plain white or Spanish rice that didn't have vegetables in it. Veggies in rice is a way to start a revolution in my house. The chips were really good too. We had a nice time here on the patio. I love the salsa bar that has mild, medium, and hot salsa, jalapeños, Pico, and cilantro. We got the 3 taco plate which was great. You can get any combination of soft and hard shell, chicken or beef. We also got the smothered burrito plate which was bland. It has meat and onions only on the inside with queso and chili on top. What I get: I typically build my own corn tacos or quesadilla with their chicken tinga, peach habenero and creamy jalapeno sauce (on side), grilled peppers and onions, sweet corn, spinach, romaine lettuce, and shredded cheese. The ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. I've tried their margaritas and though the mini gallon is so cute for photos, it's not the best margarita I've had. You've gotta try the jalapeño ranch, it was spicy and so tasty. We ended our meal with a sweet treat from their on site ice cream shoppe. I had a scoop of the dulce de leche and I want a pint in my home at all times. My daughter had a root beer float and my husband had a scoop of the dulce when he saw how much I loved it. I ordered three meats, four salsas, and two rice for take out. The meats were tender and flavorful, the salsas were incredible (habanero is killer), and the Spanish rice was fluffy and delicious. The only issue was the cilantro lime rice as it was overcooked and inedible. Sad story since we ordered two pounds of it and had to throw everything away. We ended up here randomly after our adventure out to find a new spot to eat. We decided to try this spot as we drove down 423 Main. The best way i can describe it is as a unique Chipotle without the Listeria. You just order your Mexican style meal as a taco, burrito or bowl and you can pick your meats and toppings. I tried the shredded chicken as a burrito and i was full after but not too full to shovel a house made ice cream Sundae down in the stomach. They make their own ice cream and you can tell!! Came in for late lunch. The place is busy on Saturday afternoon. The place is clean and a cafeteria type of Mexican Fastfood offering Home made ice cream. I ordered a burrito bowl and a soft taco. They don't sell hard taco, but they sell corn chips for nachos. Serving staff looks like high school kids, maybe some are college bound? They are helpful and service oriented. This place is great! Love the atmosphere and music choices! Food and service was great as well. The staff was super chill and fun to talk with. We got the nachos and they were really good! The flavors are on point. My only suggestion would be to possibly use a slightly thicker chip for the nachos so they don't get soggy to quick but overall it was damn good! We also got a couple margs and they're so smooth! Really good and will 100% be back!! One side note for the owners, that poor fish tank needs some love though haha.
