Flavorful Al Pastor tacos and torta.
    Juan Q.

I ordered a Gringa torta with spicy pork ($12), three tacos al pastor ($3.50 each), and a Diet Coke ($5). Total came out to about $30 with tax and a 15% tip. The torta was delicious, but the tacos were the standout. Corn tortilla, al pastor, onions, lime, and salsa -- perfect combo, full of flavor, hit the spot. The place is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. Customer service was solid. They gave me time to decide and offered helpful suggestions. First time here, and it was an awesome experience. I'll definitely bring family and friends next time. Check out their menu for other options

I went to El Rumbero Taqueria for lunch one day I wanted street tacos and wanted to try a new spot. I got 4 tacos for $12 and they were tasty. They weren't the best tacos I've ever tasted but somewhere I will definitely return for an affordable lunch option. The chicken taco was ok and the spicy pork taco was my favorite.

This is a gem in the neighborhood. The food is authentic. There are street tacos and then there are street tacos. The taste of the food here blew me away and if you are looking for spicy sauces this is the place. This is now my new go to for tacos and the other items they have on menu. They also serve breakfast and open on Sunday mornings.

Great Tacos, Great Service! Popped into El Rumbero while in the area after seeing some great looking taco pics on Yelp. The restaurant looks brand new, very clean, very bright. The lady who served us was super friendly and very informative with what each type of meat was on the menu. We ordered 12 street tacos so we could try a few different meats. Pastor, steak (bistec), smoked pork chop (chuleta), and steak/chorizo (campenchano). Honestly all of them were great but their pastor was amazing. Super tender and not a ton of fat. If I had to drop one of the 4 I'd drop the steak, but all of them were solid. Thanks for lunch. Check em out!

Left to right. Taco de chicharrón prensado, taco de pastor with pineapple, taco campechano(steak and pastor) and taco de suadero.

Service was very good. Food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and attentive on ones needs or questions.

Tacos Al Pastor - Amazing !

El Rumbero is a true taco gem! It is located in a spot where previous restaurants haven't had much luck. I'm really rooting for this one to thrive! They serve the best al pastor tacos I've had in all of DFW--Mexico City style. The tacos come with pineapple tidbits added to the meat afterward, but they're still fantastic street tacos. My date ordered the tacos de chuleta (pork chop), which were equally delicious. I also tried a sope de bistek, and it was packed with flavor. The imported Mexican Squirt added a special touch, too. The servers may not speak English, but they are friendly, attentive, and happy to help. Both the red and green salsas were really too. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day, only to find out they're closed on Sundays. This place is definitely our new taco spot--hands down the best in town!

The tacos Al pastor were the best I've had. The three salsas layered were so hot & tasty. The waitress was really nice too. We are getting married next June & immediately knew this is our late night snack for everyone (who can handle spice). I'm surprised this ain't poppin, this place is the best. I love Emelias down the street but...idk...the salsas put this place over the top!

Had as a to go order for the first time today. We had the quesadilla and a torta. The torta had a slice of American cheese on it, which threw me off. The quesadilla wasn't anything special. I'll have to try again and dine in. Green salsa was very good and spicy.

Pastor and bistec tacos and a Gordita

Small menu which is perfect. Super simple and super good food with good salsas to complement. I've taken coworkers and anyone that will listen. Pastor tacos are my fav.

Very clean. Waitress was friendly. Family ordered a big bistec burrito, Al Pastor, Pollo and Bistec tacos, Al Pastor Gordita and Cubana torta. All of was delicious!! Salsas were good and spicy. Would definitely recommend this place again.

Probably my new favorite Mexican restaurant around here , tried couple things/plates for my first time here everything was very tasty and authentic. The place itself was really clean and neat, our waitress was really nice as well. Great service and food was amazing for us. Highly recommend this new place in the colony!

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and we were greeted warmly upon arrival. It's a great spot for large groups and celebrations. We had a party of 16, and I really appreciated that there was no automatic gratuity added. The restaurant was also very accommodating when it came to splitting the checks exactly the way we wanted, and the QR code payment option made settling the bill quick and convenient. Our server, George J., was friendly and attentive with drink refills throughout the evening. I ordered the Shrimp Brochette and a Strawberry Mocktail. The Shrimp Brochette was delicious and definitely something I'd order again. The Strawberry Mocktail was refreshing, but I wish it had a stronger strawberry flavor. I was also a little disappointed that it seemed to be the only mocktail option available. It would be great to see more non-alcoholic choices, such as virgin margaritas and other traditional mocktails. One area that could use improvement is table maintenance during the meal. Since we had a large group, empty plates accumulated on the table and remained there for quite a while. Even as our server stopped by to check on drinks, the plates weren't cleared. Eventually, I moved several of them to a nearby empty table myself. A little more attention to clearing dishes throughout the meal would have made the experience more comfortable. We also brought a Nothing Bundt Cake to share for the celebration. While paper plates were available, we ran short on serving utensils, and it would have been nice if the restaurant had been a bit more accommodating for guests celebrating special occasions with outside desserts. That said, everyone had a great time, everyone else's food looked fantastic, the prices were reasonable, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. I would definitely return for another group gathering.

We normally ask for extra sunset sauce, and when we asked again this time around, we had less sauce. Don't know if the extra sauce wasn't rung up or if the quantity has been reduced. I truly hope it's not the latter, because that would be disappointing - redfish ceviche: a little too sweet for us. It's been a while, but we normally get the Havana nachos - an off the menu item.

The photos make it look very lively and fun so imagine our surprise at happy hour on a Friday walking into an entirely empty restaurant! Two couples inside and a couple guys drinking on the patio. We still decided to stay because we were hungry and the place itself is super duper nice and cute! We opted to sit at the bar where we were kindly greeted and two TVs playing football with no volume (which I love)! The barstools were very comfortable as well. Ordered two of the BEST margaritas I've ever had with the gran marnier! I now want all my margs made this way. No need for a second! For food, the enchilada verde and the taco lunch plates were pretty dang good. No complaints there and the servings were reasonable and not too much from the lunch menu. No leftovers. Really enjoyed the verde. Chips and salsa were something to write home about! Amazingly toasted and crunchy, I should have asked for a bag to go with just those chips! Very good! All in all, the staff was too kind and it happened to be my friend's birthday so I "snuck away to the restroom" and told our waiter and he surprised us with a perfect tres leches slice that was absolutely delicious! For lunch and margs I spent $65 and he treated us with that dessert and I felt like that was so sweet! Thank you team at Lalo! You guys were great and I now actually like that the restaurant was slower at the time but I do hope they pick up because it was a great place for us! Enjoyed very much and if we are ever back in the area we will stop through.

We don't make it in person as often as we'd like, but we order delivery almost every single weekend--and seriously, we couldn't live without it!! The pozole is the reason. It is absolutely divine. I genuinely dream about it during the week, counting down until the weekend because that's the only time they serve it. The meat is unbelievably tender--melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender--and the flavor is rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. It's one of those dishes that sticks with you long after the bowl is empty. Everything else is consistently excellent too. The guacamole is always fresh and delicious. All of their salsas are vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality. Their chips and tortillas are also fresh and delicious, which makes such a difference and really rounds out the whole meal. When we do go to the restaurant in person, the experience is just as good. The servers are always helpful and friendly, the bar is great, and while the atmosphere may not be over‑the‑top fancy, it's comfortable, welcoming, and always very clean, which we really appreciate. Calles de Mexico is one of those rare places that's incredibly consistent over the years. Whether you're dining in or ordering delivery, they never disappoint.
