Asian chicken salad
Joanna M.

Healthy and fresh fast food is always so nice to have close by! The menu is simple and seems fairly affordable. It's very similar to salad n go but with a lot more options. I fear this concept may be too healthy for the location but I hope it can last!! The fish sandwich was tasty for my son and he said the bread was even good. The Asian chicken salad was good but a bit spicy. We will def go back.

My friends were staying with me from out of town and we had breakfast/brunch here on a Saturday…read more There were several groups waiting but we were seated within about 15 mins or so. The place is so clean, so open and has such a fresh aesthetic. Our waitress was attentive and our food was DELICIOUS. I was especially impressed by the cutie little drink I had from the coffee bar. I can't wait for my next visit!

We tried Birdies for the very first time, and really loved the atmosphere, friendly service, and…read morethe food. The restaurant itself felt bright, absolutely precious in design, and the staff were very friendly & helpful. We felt that our breakfast was good. My only note is that the breakfast ham was a little over-salted, and my eggs (ordered over medium) had no apparent seasoning. The omelette was good, and so were the pancakes! Of all the food items, the two items that wowed us were the biscuits & the breakfast potatoes! Both shockingly good. The biscuits were fluffy and soft on the inside & buttery with a subtle crisp on the outside. I'm not sure I've ever had a better biscuit from any brunch/breakfast establishment. We'll absolutely be back again, and will be sure to order more biscuits! Four Stars because it was a mostly wonderful experience, with a few misses with regard to seasoning / flavor in the: omelette, hash browns, eggs, and ham. All were good, but needed either less salt OR added seasoning. I'll definitely be back again to give this spot another try!

One of the best breakfast places in Frisco - Little Elm area. Multiple visits to this place because…read morethe food is great and service Eggcellent. Only issue is the place is always crowded. During those times we order for pickup .

No packed entryway, no feeling rushed, just a relaxed vibe that made it easy to actually enjoy the meal. I ordered the chicken fried steak with pancakes, which is pretty much my benchmark order anywhere that offers it. Portions were generous and everything came out quickly. The pancakes were exactly what you want from a breakfast spot and the chicken fried steak hit that comfort food lane without feeling heavy or sloppy. Where they really shined was the service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and clearly on top of things. Food came out fast, drinks stayed filled, and it never felt chaotic or disorganized. That kind of consistency goes a long way for me, especially at breakfast spots where timing and flow matter. All that said, it lands firmly at four stars for me. The food was good and the experience was smooth, it just didn't quite cross into that five star, must go out of your way territory. And that's okay. Not everything has to be mind blowing to be worth coming back to. We both left happy and full, which is honestly the goal. I'd definitely return and would recommend it if you're looking for a reliable, low stress breakfast spot in Frisco.

The line wraps around the building which looks promising however, they missed the mark on flavor. If you want pretty pictures and social media "likes" this is the place to go but if you want incredible tasting food i would suggest finding another place. We decided to come here on my birthday since I've been wanting to try it for over a year now but never wanted to deal with the long wait. After a 45 minute wait we finally got the text that our table was ready. We promptly made our way through the rest of people waiting and got inside for the host to tell us we were past our 5 minute window so our table was gone but they would go ahead and sit us somewhere else. I explained we were right outside and came in as soon as we got the notification and even shown them the time stamp on my message that was only 3 minutes ago. The 3 minutes was the time it took for us to fight through the crowd and actually get inside. Where they ended up seating us was incredibly cramped and the whole time we felt like we were completely in the way of the servers or had people walking by brushing against us or nearly knocking stuff off our table. I started with the seasonal tiramisu latte, it was beautifully presented but very awkward to drink with all the garnishes. Once i got to the actual drink it tasted like your standard pot coffee, not espresso, and the layering was terrible. The coffee at the bottom was still hot while the milk of top was cold. I tried mixing it up and all that did was melt the ice leaving me with a watered down bland tasting latte that was luke warm. Next, i got the birria burrito with rosemary potato's. Similarly when it came out it was beautifully plated. Upon tasting, it was the most bland and unseasoned burrito I've ever had. My wife got the lemon curd french toast, unfortunately it was not as picture perfect as there was a hair on the plate when it came out. She also mentioned that the french toast needed more flavor, only the top piece had any lemon on it leaving the remaining 2 slices completely bare and boring. Our server was incredibly nice and accommodating, when we got our check she asked if it was our first time, which it was, so she asked how we liked everything. I mentioned that it was alright but a bit under-seasoned to which she replied that they have received several complaints about under seasoning but that everyone has different taste and therefore they season everything lightly. Based on that, it seems like their chef has different taste than everyone else and that taste is bland. It's disappointing that they hit all the marks except the most important one, flavor. I think this place could be incredible if they would just added more salt to everything and season their food appropriately. I understand some people have different taste, but if your getting consistent feedback that the food is lacking flavor, maybe you should try and fix it. Pictures and decor will only get a restaurant by for so long before the trends move on.
