Friendly service. We had the fried mozzarella, Tuscany salad, chicken Marsala and calzone. Everything was delicious.

I stopped in for lunch recently when I was in the area. The pizza in the hot box looked amazing. I was trying to be a little healthier and chose a salad and protein instead of the delicious looking pizza. The salad was loaded with fresh veggies and it was very filling. I also ordered a side of meatballs and they were huge and the sauce had a good flavor too. The place is small, casual and there appeared to be mostly regulars coming in. The service was prompt and friendly. I will be back to try more menu items soon. read more

Soooo good. One of the best eggplant rollatini I have had. Excellent penne Al a vodka. The eggplant portion is very large and if you get it with a pizza, two of you would have at least two or three meals; a great option for no-cook days. The place is so clean and the staff is lovely. Ordered carry out last night: chicken piccata, chicken parm and some garlic cheese bread. Everything was outstanding and the portions were very generous (we were glad to have leftovers for dinner tonight). We will definitely be back!! I've given Casa Di Roma a few tries having the Margherita pizza, a sausage/ricotta pizza, eggplant rollatini, and a meatball grinder. The important part is that the sauce is good, the crust wasn't floppy in the middle, and the toppings tasted fresh. However, the entrees were far too salty. It's no "New Haven apizza", but they are, so far, the best pizza I've had in Meriden and the prices are great. If I could, I would give them 3.5 stars. read more

We hired this restaurant to cater our wedding. We ordered food for 20 more people than we actually had. Though the food was delicious and people are still raving about it, the quantity of food only fed our guests one helping each. The Bride & groom did not get to eat. Best Pizza in CT by far. Casa di Roma is also one of the cheapest restaurants to grab any Italian food you might be craving. The spaghetti is the best I've ever tasted in my life, and the pizza is a great balance of dough, cheese, and good-tasting sauce. The garlic knots are some of the softest I have come to taste. I am updating everybody on Casa Di Roma- they continue to come through with quality pizza with generous toppings, delivered hot and NOT soggy. I also have ordered their Antipasto salad which was generous in portion sizes and came with 2 dressings. Their calzone is also delicious. The reason I am upping this to 5 stars is because my father recently had surgery and could not drive, and he called CDR and asked for delivery. Even though he lives in Cheshire, they still delivered, which is awesome. It really helped our family when he needed some food but couldn't drive to go get it. So we decided to give this place a try. Ordered plain cheese because it's really the best way to see what you're dealing with pizza wise. Found the pizza to be the perfect taste for the price. The crust this visit would be described as thin yet chewy. Sauce and over all flavor decent for a local spot. Generally I love the food at this restaurant. However, tonight I was not impressed. I ordered for a bigger party (12) and they say an hour. It took close to an hour and 45 minutes, I get it, big order. Then it gets here and it's missing two orders and sauces for some meals. I call and the girl answering the phone was beyond nice but the guy cooking and maybe the owner is yelling on the phone they made a mistake and he will get it right over to me. I work in the industry so I 1000% understand mistakes, but in my restaurant, we take it off the bill and make sure the customer is happy. This man said it's not fair to them to take it off the check. I have ordered take out from Casa Di Roma on four separate occasions and each time their quality met and or exceed my expectations. The portions were generous to a fault. I have found the Antipasto Salad to be very good. Having ordered grinders on several visits I have found the eggplant grinder to be quite good I would however suggest that you add roasted peppers to the mix as I really believe that it puts it over the top. I have to say this is one of my favorite dishes. What are my favorite appetizers. In my opinion this restaurant has the absolute best calamari dish that I have ever had. And that is a pretty bold statement for me to say given the fact that I have been to many top restaurants. This by far blows away everybody.
