Yes!! Came here on a late Saturday night for some drinks with my Mexican home girls.......I love the atmosphere...very welcoming and ....how do u say...ethnic. All I know is that Mexicans know how to party hahaha and there usually isn't any drama with it either. One side is filled with tables and booths, dark as night and blasting with Spanish Karaoke music. On the other side of the wall is a full bar serving all of the Mexican favorites including dos equis!! we got a bucket of dos equis....returned to the other side with the tables, sang karaoke and got drunk!! It was hella fun......and even though I don't speak a lick of Spanish besides knowing how to order my burritos and tacos I tried to sing along as well.....They also have a ton of English selections to choose by, you just gotta let the big Mexican man in the cowboy hat know wut u wanna sing......The ppl around us chowing down on bar food seemed pretty content with what the authentic cuisine...we got the chicken nachos...I gotta say hands down the best nachos I've ever had ...ever! even better than in Mexico! and everybody was super friendly. Cheers to random drunk ppl.... hahaha ^___^ oh...and there was also this drunk middle aged Mexican man that wouldn't leave me or my friends alone. He kept speaking to me in Spanish and trying to talk to us and stared at us. It was hella creepy....I guess that's how a lot of girls feel whenever guys won't leave them alone! He followed us from the bar to the other room...so I decided I was going to be just as creepy as him and wink at him to try to scare him off.....that didn't work out so well cuz he ended up sitting with us. Been coming here almost once a week since Antonio took over in 2001. I've spent many days in Mexico and Casa Durango is the best of the best. Great food, friendly service, excellent beverages. What more can you ask. Yes I give it 5 stars and will continue to come back till something changes. I love the lunch menu but will not think twice about enjoying their dinners. Try the Chili Verde or the bacon wrapped shrimp and you'll know why I'm a big fan. read more

Good stuff! I used a groupon and they were more than happy to take it. I know some places have given me dirty looks for using one before. The food was delicious. The veggie burrito is truly a veggie burrito. Don't order it if you don't like broccoli. I actually do so it was quite good and giant sized. We saw this place and decided to try a New Mexican restaurant close to home. We weren't too happy about the whole, you get 1 thing of chips and salsa and after that you have to pay. This is my favorite place for Mexican food west of the mountains. I've been going to this place for years (even before it was Casa Durango) with friends who live in the neighborhood and absolutely love it. It's comfort food for me because it reminds me of growing up and visiting my friends for dinner and getting homemade Mexican food. In a way, it is like going home for me. Well where to start... We've been coming here for a year. Everytime we come here it has been different. This place has zero consistency. Being an ex chef I can tell every recipe is different every day. The salsa apparently they think the hotter it is the better. Different every single time..Here's an idea, recipes recipes recipes. Should be a 3 1/2 star. The Mexican food here is about as good as it gets in the Seattle area. They actually make the mole from scratch. The waiter was very friendly. He came over after I was done eating and chatted for awhile. Don't know why another review says they're not friendly. Here's what I had: Mole Enchilada ($9). It would have been perfect if they gave three enchiladas. The meal only came with two enchiladas, beans, and rice. The mole was very good. It would have been better if they smothered the enchiladas with it. Chicken Fajita ($12). It was good. Nothing to wow about. The portions were o.k. The meal also came with chips and salsa. The chips were store bought. But the salsa was very good. You can actually taste the garlic. Overall, they had a large selection of items on their menu. I had better Mexican food in places like California and Texas. But that's really not a fair comparison. For the Seattle area, it's really good. I'll come back. read more

People of Renton, put Casa Durango on your "must" list. I have been visiting this joint for over 2 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. The food truly is authentic, the service is always friendly, and I have never had to wait for a table. I am always amazed when I see La Fuente is packed and this place is half empty. Love! New and improved. I eat vegan and they have a new menu that includes vegan and vegetarian options. I tried the vegan tacos and cactus salad. I recommend both. I thought the pablano sauce was a bit bland until I put it on the tacos. Excellent. The soft tacos, 3 for $6! Who does that? Oh and try the toasted lemonade. I have ordered and eaten here about 5 times. And the ONE time we try and show this place off to friends from out of town pretty much everything went wrong. Our waitress was really really awkward and kind of didn't know how to communicate with her customers. We ordered two tall beers and they were completely flat so much so that we had to return them. Then we get our food and my friends tacos have a giant hair in them. I asked for my tacos to come with only one tortilla and they all had two of them. They stick most of the time so no I cant just take one out. Seems like they need more attention to detail and maybe some training for their staff. I will definitely hesitate coming back. read more

This is my favorite place for lunch! No one beats the prices, the service, or the great food for lunch hour. Where else can you go to lunch for $6 or less and have enough food for another meal? NO WHERE. The owner, Antonio, is a riot and will crack jokes. Quick service too! I can say I have never waited long, especially for lunch. They quickly bring water, chips and salsa when you sit down. The food arrives quickly. The food is authentic and you will feel at home at this spot! Dinner is also reasonable. I love Casa Durango, and I go there often. The food is delicious and they are always willing to customize my order (for example, substitute lettuce leaves for tortillas). My favorite dishes are the Camarones al Mojo de ajo, carnitas tacos, fish tacos, enchiladas, tortilla soup, and anything with their homemade enchilada sauce.
