Casa Freddy's! Let's get into it... Parking is very minimum, which makes sense because the restaurant itself is quite small on the inside. Maybe 15 tables in total. With that being said, the restaurant is clean and very well decorated inside. We sat ourselves and received complimentary chips + salsa, served warm. The menu is full of delicious authentic Mexican cuisine options, I wish I would've gotten a picture of it. Tortas, sopitas, and yummy tacos with your choice of meats. For drinks, they have a smaller alcohol menu and Mexican imports and great margaritas! I really enjoyed the asada tacos! Great flavor and texture in the meat. Everything was fresh and homemade to order. My only true complaint is they don't have the biggest wait staff so the service can be quite slow. We entered this lovely establishment and we're greeted promptly. It is a very small restaurant, but it's so beautifully decorated! Service was wonderful! Our table was very well taken care of. Now the food: complementary chips and salsa. Very different from any salsa we had ever had. It served warm, which wasn't bad but the first bite taste just like tomato soup. That fades after you continue to eat it. It has a nice heat! Just warm enough, but not enough to set your tongue on fire. We ordered street tacos, Quesabirria tacos, and the green enchiladas. The enchiladas were very, very good! Some kind of flavoring in the rice and beans was very odd. It wasn't terrible, just odd. I couldn't place it, but it was something sweet and every time I took a bite it reminded me of Christmas time... I'm not sure how else to explain it. This place is a hidden gem. The space has a warm, modern feel with Latin-influenced touches throughout. It's on the smaller side, so seating can be limited when they're busy. Nicole, our server, was incredibly welcoming and genuinely excited to have us visit. We started with complimentary chips and salsa, which were tasty--the salsa is thinner in consistency and served hot (temperature-wise), something I hadn't experienced before. I ordered the quesabirria, and it was exactly what a birria taco should be: crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The consommé was rich and deeply flavorful. My partner had the pambazo, which you don't often see on menus, and it was excellent. We'll definitely be back--there are so many things on the menu I want to try. Very nice decor and friendly staff: however several things ruined the experience. First off there were so many flies hovering over our food it was annoying. A couple also sat across from us with their BIRD cockatiel in a cage just gross. So they allowed non service animals basically. Lastly it was very hot almost like the ac was struggling. This place is such a hidden gem! Found it searching through social media. We were skeptical since there were not many vehicles. This place did not disappoint! Upon entering we were greeted instantly, and sat wherever we preferred. The entire lobby was spotless and had an inviting atmosphere. The waitress was very helpful in recommending what we should try. I had the bistec con papas, 1 asada mulitas, the wife had 1 Queca with asada con papas, and 1 pastor Queca, my son had a taco plate. The asada con papas was very good and had a wonderful spice, and the favorite for me would have to be the mulita. Also, the salsas they bring out once the food arrives complimented the food excellently. A bonus was the homemade flour tortillas. They make their own corn tortillas. They are delicious. I had the enfrijoladas, which is a black bean dish. I added the marinated pork which had a dry rub that was a combination of delicious spices. My husband ordered three different quecas. They are corn tortillas stuffed with your choice of meats. They are huge; at least 10 inches wide. This meal was outstanding! An adorable hidden gem! This place is so cute and makes you feel like you stepped into Mexico. Live plants, sunlight, and great music. The food was all excellent. The salsa and queso were both really tasty. The agua de pepino was refreshing. Their breakfast plates were delicious and pretty as well! Mulitas and quecas were delicious. The steak mulita was my favorite and the tinga chicken in the queca was very flavorful. You can tell everything is homemade and made with love. This our second time coming and we drive from Yukon to come. Will return and definitely get the steak mulita next time as well. Their chips are also delicious along with their salsa which is served hot and different then most salsas at other Mexican restaurants. I do wish they had queso but understand I am just a queso girlie and it's not really traditional. I really hate leaving a negative review for a small, family-owned spot, but after three visits to Casa de Freddy's, I have to be honest. The first time we went, it was actually pretty decent -- nothing amazing, but enjoyable enough to come back. The second visit was just okay, nothing special. But the third time was honestly horrible, and it felt like a completely different restaurant. I ordered gorditas, which I was really looking forward to. Instead, I received a torta filled with carnitas -- and it was awful. The meat was loaded with way too much fat, and they added mayonnaise (which made it even heavier and unpleasant). I could barely eat it. My husband got carne asada tacos, and the meat was similarly overly fatty -- he ended up leaving most of it on the plate because it was inedible. The rice and beans were also a big letdown; they tasted much better on our first visit, but this time they seemed like they were made by a completely different cook. read more

We noticed this new little restaurant in our neighborhood and we figured we would try it since it seemed like it was often busy. It was a Friday night. The parking lot was almost full. The place was almost packed. At first I was a little nervous because I was the only Caucasian and my boyfriend was the only Asian and neither of us speak Spanish. However, our server was very fluent in English and the menu was in English. I ordered the Red Enchiladas. He ordered the taco platter with asada. Both entrees were delicious.
