Since the pandemic, a lot of the locations stopped offering the "all you can eat" but I found the La Puente location still honors it. Was in the mood for a michelada so I dropped in here. Got seated right away. Customer Service? Would have to say it needs work. They brought chips and took our order in timely fashion. Took about 20 minutes to bring food out. Then, didn't see the waiter for the rest of time in this place. Never checked up on us. I had to go ask for to-go boxes and the check. Chilaquiles were ok. Tortillas were soggy. I prefer them with a bit of a crunch. Got the red with egg and steak. Michelada was mediocre but satisfied craving. Small Shrimp cocktail, packed with shrimp. Needs more flavor. Came here for breakfast while visiting a friend. I had the tasty menudo which came in a huge bowl with all the condiments. My friend had the chorizo and said it was delicious and that the beans are just the best! Small free parking lot and street parking available. Outdoor seating also available so dog friendly. Great to go for authentic Mexican food. They do have a special all you can eat menu where you can order 3 items at a time. I know the price has been going up through the years, but definitely worth it if you haven't ate all day and are craving your favorites of enchiladas, Chile releno, tacos, etc. Definitely come with an empty stomach because 3 items is already so filling with big portions and chips and salsa as an appetizer ! I came here specifically for the menudo. Was somewhat disappointed. Maybe because it's Sunday and there're running out? Don't know. The bowls are not that big considering other places I have been to. Horrible service. I went in their yesterday and got myself menudo. First of all I go in their for a pickup and I'm literally their just standing in the front to pay and nothing. Literally the old lady in the front is just calculating receipts. Doesn't even acknowledge me at all. The only girl working finally asks me why I'm there for after 5min. Place was not busy as he had time to check and chit chat with other customers and workers there. We had to flag him down ask for container. Never brought containers had to ask the bus boy. I have reviewed Casa Jimenez before but since this has become the family goto spot it deserves another post. We come here at least every other week.My wife and I love the Machaca even though I like it wet and she likes it dry [get your head out of the gutter]. Last night we went to the local high school football game and then went to have a couple of drinks [i know, we are acting like teenagers even though we are the parents of teenagers]. Well a couple of drinks turned out to last until 5:30 and then had to wake up an hour later to take my daughter to her SAT test. Which brings me to Casa Jimenez and the healing powers of Menudo. The only problem with having "breakfast menudo" at 2 in the afternoon is that you typically dont get "pata". Pata is the pigs feet and tendon that some of us love so much. I know Gringos, we are not asking you to run before you can walk. Start with just the tripe. Give yourself a treat and try their all you can eat menu selection so you can try new things. read more

Came to the restaurant at around 9am was probably 3rd customer. We placed our orders and started chatting among ourselves. Didn't realize after about an hour passed and the restaurant was almost full. The odd thing was everyone got their food and was already eating while we have our chips and salsa which was done. I didn't realize until I looked up. I looked around to see the difference and only difference was I was Asian and everyone was Hispanic.
