WOW...JUST WOW! After my last experience, I walked into the new Casa Maya location a little nervous -- but WOW. Just WOW. From the moment we stepped in, everything felt different. We were promptly greeted and seated, and the new spot (same plaza, just a few doors down) is brighter, more open, and instantly welcoming. No crowded feeling, no rush -- just great energy. Our server, Oney, was an absolute gem. Attentive, kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the whole experience feel special. We came for lunch, and their lunch specials were divine. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and clearly homemade. We ordered the house guacamole, and that's when the party really started -- creamy avocado, fresh cilantro, and that perfect, bright flavor you can only get from truly fresh ingredients. I ordered the chicken flautas lunch special, but knowing they make chocolate mole in-house, I asked for some on the side. Best decision ever. It came with a minimal upcharge, and it tasted exactly as I remembered -- the perfect balance of chocolate, spice, sweet, tart, and bitter. A real mole masterpiece. Everyone at the table ended up ordering flautas (some chicken, some shredded beef), and every plate was delicious. I also have to mention the refried beans topped with cotija -- creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. This place feels clean, crisp, and like management actually listened to feedback. They truly stepped up their game. I even took home a steak fajita burrito for my husband, and he was over the moon. It came with a side salad, and even though it was a lunch portion, he could only finish half because it was so generous. Everything was reasonably priced and 100% worth the trip. Casa Maya has completely redeemed itself -- and I'll definitely be back!

I absolutely was blown away by this tiny little Mexican spot in Deerfield Beach. I love that the owner goes to Mexico every few weeks to get the spices so you know that all the food here is truly authentic. This is a family run business and you can tell the moment you walk in. I would argue that the queso fundido is one of the best I've had in quite some time. Must add the chorizo. The guacamole was different than most restaurants as it was chunky and full of fresh ingredients. You could really taste the fresh tomatoes and the avocados were perfect. If you like octopus, you must order the octopus. It was perfectly cooked. I don't normally eat this, but my mind was blown at how tasty it was. The new ribeye tacos literally comes with a massive piece of ribeye on a taco... Pro tip add a little bit of the queso fundido and your mind will be rocked. Definitely order the pork burrito. It's more of a fork and knife type burrito, but you could taste it. The pork is cooked slowly and it's just so full of flavor. I highly recommend you check out this restaurant. The cocktails were on point!

What a great hidden gem to have discovered! Located in the cove plaza in Deerfield Beach. The inside decor is authentic and inviting. The food is where you get lost in food coma land. Casa Maya is a nice small little Mexican restaurant in Deerfield Beach Cove shopping center. The margaritas were really good here and they have good prices for their lunch menu. We sat up at the bar so the bartender brought us some warm chips and salsa and waited on us right away. The lunch menu has some nice choices to choose from and they have plenty of free parking out in the parking lot..

Very cute restaurant. Love their decor and it seems family owned. The service was amazing. They were very attentive although they got confused when we ordered the michelada and only brought us a beer at first. Nevertheless it was really good. The food however I feel could have had more flavor for the price they charged.

Found out about this place from Yelp actually, and wanted to try! Cozy, neighborhood vibe located in the cove plaza. Friendly service and the bar area felt updated and sleek. Started with prickly pear and watermelon margaritas which were tasty but kind of on the sweeter side. The chips and salsa they brought out were delicious. Mole rojo burrito was really good and you can taste the chocolate in the mole which was nice and authentic for Mexican cuisine. My friend liked the mahi fajitas and mentioned the flour tortillas were great. The only gripe I have is that the refill of chips and salsa was $4. Supposedly it was on the menu in really small writing. We weren't told there was a fee for refill when we ordered it and that's quite petty and bush league. I asked the server and he said the busboy should have alerted us upon ordering -- when in fact HE took the order. He apologized and said that's not right and then did nothing. When I got home the online menu said $2 for refill and we were charged $4. This isn't a complaint about $2, but rather that the online menu is misquoted and our server should've said there was a fee. It's always the PRINCIPLE of the matter not the cost. The food was good and worth returning to, but when management makes a goof and won't even eat $4 off the bill, it is hard to ignore that.

My daughter picked up dinner for us on Mothers Day. Spinach enchilada for me - it was incredible dry - no sauce on it, and a chicken burrito for my husband. He found several chicken bones in his burrito. I emailed them and did not even receive the courtesy of a reply. Very, very disappointed.

My wife is a big fan of grilled Octopus and a friend recommended we try Casa Maya Grill. We visited and were delighted, and returned again the following weekend for dinner. The restaurant is located in a plaza that has a two hour limit on parking. During our second visit we discovered that you don't need to do that in the evenings. Service was friendly and the ambiance was casual yet warm. We have had the Octopus dish on every visit, an it is consistently amazing. My wife has eaten octopus. In countless restaurants, and she considers Casa Maya's top 3. Everything in the menus was excellent, from the Margaritas to the Conchinito Pibil. My only one negative, to be fair, is that I felt Guacamole portion was small, specifically considering the price. Otherwise, everything was delicious and fairly priced. If you love Octopus, or Mexican food in general, give Casa Maya Grill in Deerfield Beach a visit.

This place was not great. There is a lot of parking and bathrooms available. There is a large restaurant with lights but this place is NOT lit up which made it hard to find at first. The server was nice but the actual restaurant was not a great experience. I had a spicy margarita and it was decent but I ordered the fajitas to share and when it came out they just brought the tortillas and the fajita plate with the meat. It was a very small amount of meat. But nothing else. I had to ask does anything else come with this like lettuce and I was told I would have to order that separately. Which is weird because why would that be separate it's not a high cost item and usually goes with the fajitas. Finally I flagged my server down because I saw the menu said it did come with rice and beans so I asked for them and he was like oh yeah I guess you do get that. Honestly the food wasn't that good, the service was slow, and you better know exactly what's on the menu or they'll try to give you the bare minimum. They also started me with a basket of chips and salsa and they said "this is your ONE complimentary basket of chips and salsa" which we wouldn't have asked for two anyways just everything seemed so cheap and sneaky here. I would not recommend.

I rarely write reviews, but this place was beyond disappointing. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla, and what I got was a dried-out tortilla with a sad scattering of shrimp--no cheese, no seasoning, absolutely nothing else. It was like someone forgot what a quesadilla is supposed to be. The rest of the food I ordered wasn't any better--completely inedible. Everything tasted either stale, overcooked, or just plain wrong. Honestly, I wouldn't serve this to anyone, let alone charge for it. Save your time and money and eat literally anywhere else. read more

Coming to Casa Maya Grill has become a tradition for my mom and I to celebrate my dad's birthday since he passed in 2020. He used to come frequently and became friendly with the owners. I remember going with him once or twice and always enjoyed the food. During my last visit in August, I went with my mom and boyfriend. The service was quick and friendly as we had grown to expect. The food came out piping hot and absolutely delicious. We also tried one of their margaritas (forgive me, I forget the name) but nonetheless, it was delicious as well! The restaurant itself is deceiving in size because it appears to be a long alley with tables lining each side but there's actually a full bar and even more seating all the way in the back. Needless to say, we'll continue to return to celebrate my dad's birthday at a restaurant he loved. I find it to be a nice tribute to him and the yummy food is a bonus. read more

I came here on Tuesday and they have a special. Each taco is $3, I got a tuna,mahi mahi, steak, and pork belly. Each taco were pretty small, but for the price it's a good deal. I personally preferred the steak and pork taco. Staff was friendly. The inside had a cool Mexican restaurant feel to it. Overall a solid place for Mexican food, definitely come on a Tuesday for the special prices. 6.5/10 read more

Our favorite Mexican restaurant. Everything is fresh and tasty. Fresh guac and salsa to start. The octopus is so tender and delicious. We all loved our dinners. I got the Veracruz pescado which was delicious. Our server was Emma and she was excellent. We celebrated my grandson's 5th birthday. All the servers got together and sang to him. I've been coming to this place for years and always loved it -- great vibe, great bartenders, and always such a cozy spot to hang out. I recently went back after being away for three years (moved to the west coast), and noticed they've moved a couple of stores down the strip mall. The new space looks nice, but it definitely feels different -- it lost a bit of that cozy, warm atmosphere it used to have. It felt a little colder and not quite the same. That said, the food is still delicious and the drinks are just as good as I remember. Big shoutout to our bartender Jordan -- he honestly made the experience so much better. read more

This is wonderful place for a date or dinner with the family. The ambience when you walk in is wonderful. You can tell they carefully selected pieces to represent the Latin culture. There is a bar near the front and a bartender making drinks in the back to view. The food was wonderful. I ordered Mayan tacos. They were so good! It was well seasoned and the tortilla was firm to eat so it wasn't falling apart like other restaurants. My friend ordered grilled octopus. This was my first time eating it and it was delicious! The owner walked around and spoke to his customers. He's a nice guy that will make sure you're having a good time. read more

Service, food, and ambiance were all too-notch last night at our early dinner at Casa Maya Grill. The chips and salsa delivered to our table right after we arrived were delicious. Three types of smaller portions of hotter salsa were brought to us at our request (you didn't need much as they were very hot; the way we like it!). Excellent. Drinks of margaritas and a sangria were very good additions to the meal. Main courses were hot and delicious as were the rice and beans. Finishing off the meal with a shared flan was a great ending to the evening for these three first-time visitors to Casa Maya Grill. Special shout out to Jordan, our server, the young man who assisted him (sorry I did not get his name), and the server who brought us chips and salsa a few times. The individuals at the front who were seating guests and answering the phone helped us out tremendously right after we departed as we were looking for a lost cell phone. Thank you for your willing and able assistance. By the way, the phone was located where it had fallen off the roof of the car in the roundabout right outside The Cove parking area. Your friendly help put us more at ease about the temporarily lost phone. Thanks again for a great evening! read more

This is a superb Mexican restaurant located off of Federal Highway. The art mural art wall as you come in is splendid. From the moment we walked in, we felt very welcomed. Jordan, our waiter was very attentive and suggested the brisket which was special for the day. We ordered the brisket nachos and the fish ceviche. They brought out the shrimp ceviche by mistake and fixed it quickly. The beer was cold and the Rita was delicioso! The owner stopped by our table to check on us. Stopped in late afternoon for a lite snack and cocktail, wasn't too busy so I sat on the outside patio area which is peaceful. The passion fruit margarita is excellent plus they have many other options for craft cocktails on the menu. Wasn't too hungry so ordered the shrimp quesadillas which was perfect and tasty. Ashley was my server that day and she took great care of me, she was very attentive and had extensive menu knowledge, not to mention she was very personable and had a nice smile to go along with it. I completely understand that no business is ever obligated to donate, and I would never demand a donation from anyone. If they had changed their mind, I would have respected that. My disappointment is entirely with how I was treated and how the interaction was later described. I do want to make clear that the gentleman manager I originally spoke with was wonderful, kind, and gracious. Unfortunately, the way my return visit was handled left me feeling very disappointed.

OUTSTANDING Customer Service AND Food!!! Mia greeted my family and I at the door and was extremely helpful in assisting us in getting a table as well as recommendations for dinner. Julia was behind the bar and asked me could she get my 3 small children something to drink. She placed their lemonade in a "pouch" so my kids felt that their fountain drink lemonade was a fresh made from real lemons with a touch a greatness added. My kids were so happy and excited about their drinks. Once we got to the table Makayla came over and bought us our chips and salsa. She was so sweet and kind. She gave us her recommendations and also made my children feel at ease for trying something out of their norm. Our sever was Collin and he was such a sweetheart. He too gave his recommendations as well as checked on us throughout our meal to ensure everything was up to our standard. My family and I have been to many restaurants and Casa Maya was by far one of the BEST! Not only was the customer service GREAT, so was the food! Came here a while before. Great food great ambience and service. The tostadas were excellent. Great flavor and very crispy but thin tortillas. The Mayan mule was very interesting but refreshing. Had Moscows before many times but this has a much more pronounced lime and Smokey flavor than the traditional herby ginger zest. Sipped on it nice and slow (usually gulp my drinks) and lasted the whole dinner. We got the carne, enchiladas, and burrito. All were delicious and filling and took home leftovers. It's very simple too but full of flavor so it's not overwhelming. The moles and cheeses used were amazing in flavor and depth. Unlike any I had before. The rice and beans were also excellent. Not a huge fan of beans and rice so this speaks volume. The guava cheesecake was also amazing. Sweet but zesty and nice texture. The reason for not giving 1 star was the staff/wait staff were good. Putting that aside the sangria was beyond terrible which is shocking one can mess that up. But it had an odd carbonation to it and was hands down the worst sangria I've ever had. Hoped maybe it was just not 'their specialty' and so ordered their watermelon mojito. I love mojitos and watermelon and yet, it was worse than the sangria. Another member of our party also couldn't drink the sangria and ordered another drink which also was terrible. Maybe the young bartender working 8/26 wasn't a regular bartender? Who knows...Zero stars for drinks. Then our party of 3 had 3 different dishes, none all that good and at best were average. I love Mexican food but this was below average and I used to bartend and can't imagine making drinks as bad as the ones that night. Our wait staff was good. Wow, love this place. I went to this restaurant for the first time past Tuesday (of course it was Taco Tuesday) and the attention was amazing, even tho the restaurant was full, every single waitress was paying attention to every single costumer on the restaurant. My waitress was Emmanuel, such a lovely person, he made sure to give me a great experience helping me out with recommendations for the food, as well as drinks, etc. I didn't even think about it twice, I trusted him in every single recommendation and didn't disappointed!!! I love Casa Maya! We were on a vacation to Deerfield Beach and I went on Yelp to search for a few joints and this one is a gem! We got to the place and the waiters greeted us with a welcome. It took no less than 10 minutes to prepare a table for my family and they guided us through their variety of delicious food items on their menu. I picked a Casa Maya burrito with includes a burrito with some deli-cable Mexican sauces and a chicken tinga, not just that but including a side of yellow rice and refried beans. I live in lighthouse point and I am a fan of Mexican food I have tried many from Miami to Delray and my favorite is Casa Maya I LOVE THEIR FAJITAS, its owner is very friendly. I have already days without going and I have continued ordering their food delivery and they have the best service. I have ordered delivery from different restaurants and nobody has given me such good attention as Casa Maya, its driver is patient and follows my instructions to get to my apartment even though I don't have parking. We started with the flautas, which were crispy and flavorful, and paired them with mezcalrita cocktails that were perfectly balanced. Gaby was amazing!!!! I kept asking for things every time she walked by, She never once gave me any type of attitude she just said you're welcome and thank you!!! What a welcome addition to the Cove Shopping Center. My co-workers and I eat at Casa Maya Grill at least once a week and love the fresh food and the innovative way the chef creates the food. Every time we come here we leave happy. The food is so flavorful the 4 of us have our favorites. The enchiladas Mole rojo, the burrito Pibil, enchiladas Pipian Verde and the burrito boxcito. Their house margaritas are excellent and plenty of booze, 2 do the trick. I got the ceviche and it was super fresh and a refreshing dish. The rest of the plates were 10/10 and had so much flavor. Our waitress was very kind and was able to handle all of our requests with ease. The vibes of the restaurant are elevated hole in the wall in my opinion and was very clean and a bit loud but it was a Saturday so what else can I expect! I have no complaints about this location.

The shrimps are large and seasoned well. Their burritos are so large you can essentially cut it in half and have the leftover portion for lunch the next day. I appreciate other prices are quite fair, especially given the large portions. We will definitely make our way back here when in the neighborhood!
