This place is too cute. It's tucked awake and feels like a get away once you're inside. The service is amazing, I wish I got the names of our waitress and the man who served our food to us. They were both a delight and genuine people. The food! I preferred the chimichanga with shredded beef and it comes with your choice of black or pinto beans and rice. The meat alone tasted like something I would eat from home, I'm Hispanic and my mom is an amazing cook, I only love her Spanish rice. I told our waitress your food here tastes like comfort. I had an absolutely fantastic evening at blue coyote tonight! The shrimp and crab meat enchiladas were delicious. We sat inside. It was comfortable and a nice escape from the heat. Christian was so helpful and patient and allowed my friend and I plenty of time to visit while checking in with us and making sure that we had everything that we needed. I cannot say enough about the flavor of my enchiladas. Every bite was perfect! I can be a bit of a margarita snob, and my blended original margarita was exactly what I wanted for tonight. Tried BCG for the first time. The restaurant is very big with several different seating areas., including the large full bar. Made a reservation for the two of us which wasn't necessary on a Wednesday, but definitely needed on a busy night. We had the Coyote chicken Salad and Seafood Enchiladas. Both were excellent with large portions of fresh tasting ingredients. Service was fast and friendly. The chips and salsa were above average. The only downside I found was that all the beer was in bottles. Thought that a full bar should have tap beer. Parking can be an issue in that part of Palm Springs so add a couple of minutes to give yourself time to find a spot. Dinner with three beers was around $70. Would definitely return. We had a great night at Blue Coyote Grill. Our friends made reservations for 7 around 7 PM, and we were seated outside. It wasn't too cold, but you could definitely feel a light January breeze nothing uncomfortable but bring a jacket. We were greeted by a very talented guitarist, who really set the vibe for the evening and even sang happy birthday to our friend three times, which made the night extra special. They gave our friend free ice cream which was very nice. We ordered the margarita pitcher ($60), and it was incredibly strong. If you're looking to get your money's worth, it's definitely worth ordering. We also got the molcajete, which we usually order at Mexican restaurants. Flavor-wise, it was tasty, but it was honestly the smallest molcajete we've ever received. For $27, we expected a bit more in the bowl. Service was great everyone was kind and attentive. We also appreciated that they allow dogs on the patio, there's a good amount of parking, and the meal came with complimentary chips, which is always a plus. Absolutely loved our experience at Coyote Blue Grill in downtown Palm Springs! The outdoor seating had such a fun, lively vibe, perfect for a relaxed evening out. Our waiter really made the night, super personable and attentive, and he took the time to walk us through the menu so we knew exactly what we were getting into (in the best way possible). The spicy margarita was spot on, just the right balance of heat and flavor ... and being able to order it as a pitcher for the table was a huge win. They have a very short but great happy hour that is priced right for the quality of the food and portion size. My wife and I walked into the restaurant and immediately chowed down on the chips and salsa. Salsa tasted authentic and fresh. We ordered a blue coyote margarita with salted rim and that was also good. It was not watered down like other places and reasonably priced. For appetizers ordered a side of guac and queso fundido. Fundido had a nice cheesy and tomatillo taste that made for some great tacos with the flour tortillas they brought alongside. For the main dish my wife and I shared a molcajete. We weren't sure if it would be enough for the both of us but it sure was!Chunks of tender asada, chicken, and shrimp were drenched in a spicy smoky sauce. Strips of peppers and onions and a chile toreado on top were perfect also. Made more tacos with that and slapped some left over queso fundido on that bad boy. Perfection. Finished it off with the churro dessert because my wife loves churros. Food was delicious but what made me come here to write the review was the customer service. Our waiter Carlos took care of us real well. Even though he had many tables to take care of, he was very attentive and checked in on us. Never felt like we were neglected, drinks always refilled..it was great. If we're ever back in Palm Springs area, we will stop by Blue Coyote and hopefully Carlos is our waiter! This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Palm Springs. Every time we eat there the service is swift and every staff member that sees you, greets you from the familiar hosts to the wait staff to the bussers. The food is delicious and mildly spicy. The rolled tacos are generous and can make a light meal. We had the beef rolled in blue corn tortillas. The fajitas were tender strips of chicken breast and there was plenty left for another meal. My husband's combo with an enchilada and taco was tasty and he (of course!) ate every bite. We like to sit on the front patio so we can watch the passersby, but be sure you request it when you make your reservation. read more

Also, I thought it was supposed to have rice and beans inside but had about a half pound of rice with a lot more rice and beans on the plate. I had to wonder what the heck they were thinking... Somehow, in all of our Palm Springs adventures, we missed this place. It's located in the main part of the strip. Whether you sit inside or outside, the vibe is good. I love the water misters in the Palm Springs heat. Bar none, service is a five out of five. I got the steak and vegetable dish. I requested medium rare and it came out medium well but it was seasoned very well and still tasty. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. I can't remember what my husband got, but it was pretty much like a stuffed chicken breast. Sadly, the chicken was also overcooked in this dish. However, he loved the sauces in the flavor of the dish. My husband loved the nachos. I thought they were good and I like the shredded beef. I enjoy my jamaica Palmer, a.k.a. jamaica juice with lemonade. Pro tip: Chips and salsa are on the house. The salsa is kind of bland but it caters to generic American taste buds. Ask for the salsa picante for some real kick. It's 3 bucks extra but I mixed that in with the house salsa and fell in love. I ordered chicken enchiladas and I was pleasantly surprised how good they were. They give you an option of black beans or refried beans. I didn't ask, but sometimes a restaurant will have a spicier salsa in the kitchen they don't serve unless you ask. I would definitely return. We ordered from Blue Coyote Grill through DoorDash, so this review is solely based on the food. I tried the Coyote Bowl with chicken and a veggie burrito. The Coyote Bowl was fantastic! It was packed with flavorful rice, black beans, corn, loads of chicken, and guacamole. Absolutely delicious and very filling. The portion size was huge--we even had leftovers. The veggie burrito, however, was a big letdown. It was essentially just barely cooked vegetables wrapped in a tortilla, with no cheese, sauce, beans, or any typical burrito fillings. While it did come with rice and beans on the side, it felt incomplete and disappointing. Overall, the Coyote Bowl was the star of the meal and would definitely order again, but I wouldn't recommend the veggie burrito. read more

For us this is a "go to" spot when visiting Palm Springs. We find the sum of all of the restaurant pieces to be greater than whole here. It could be: the easy walking distance from downtown, their patio environment (I don't we've eaten any place else there), their Margarita's, their food or being set back enough from the street we felt that we were out of the City. The staff was quick and efficient. As you can see from my patio pics and the backgrounds of my Margarita pics, their use of broad leaf plants provides some privacy and a tropical feel to go along with the desert breeze. Pictured is the Wild Coyote Margarita and the Blue Margarita, this is their Mug size. The Wild is differentiated by using fresh squeezed lime juice which adds a bit of tartness versus the Blue which is a bit sweeter. You can't go wrong with either one. Along with the Margaritas, listed under Bontasa, we had their Pollo Tenders. As you can see in my pic, there were 4 chicken breasts. They were fork tender. They tasted grilled in their orange adobo sauce: they orange flavor did evident but not overpowering. I enjoyed the tenders with both the dipping side of the southwest barbeque sauce and salsa. They had quite the flavor: more savory than sweet, all the SW favoring and a bit of heat. Their salsa was mild, had ample flavor and a nice crunch from the chopped veggies. What you can't see in the aluminum foil are their tortillas. These flour tortillas had an incredible bit and chew. It held up really well with a piece of chicken and dipping it into a side dish. These tortillas appeared to be flat top grilled giving them a nice earthly kiss. As usual, we wouldn't come to P.S. without visiting here. read more

We were 3 adults, 4 kids so obviously that wasn't an option. I asked if I could order drinks at the bar and sit down. I realize it sounds silly but this restaurant was sooooooo empty I thought they'd accommodate. The waiter gives me a condescending "well I've been here for 25 years and we've never done that."
