This is a hidden gem in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. We were all delightfully surprised by the food. Homemade salsa, fresh chips, and colorful decor started us off happy. We started with some queso and the Mexican brushetta. I could have eaten this as my meal. Fresh avocado filled with grilled shrimp, cheese and a bit of southwest sauce. I will eat this again somewhere. I ordered the steak relleno served with rice. This dish was a flavor pleaser. The roasted poblano pepper added just the right balance to the steak and the sauce. Everyone enjoyed their food. The menu has a lot of options. I suggest ordering something new with your favorites and family style sharing.

Got lunch during work and was greeted immediately by friendly staff. Food came out quickly and was delicious not to mention plenty to eat. Coming from California, I'd had my share of mole and this one had a little sweet to it which made it delectable and not the norm I'm use too. I recommend giving it a go.

I arrived 45 min before close. No negitive feelings. I was seated in the bar bar area, my choice. The bartender was great. Had my chips and salsa within 3 min. Very good Bloody Mary and the main dinner was out within 15 min. Great food and service! I'll be back on my next trip into town.

Got take out for lunch today and wow was it fast ! We called and arrived 8 mins later. Someone came out to the car and asked for our name and our order was ready. Super fast and efficient service. We got chips and salsa with our order too. Prices were very reasonable. We got the carne Asada tacos and chicken chimichanga. Both were way better than expected for a Mexican restaurant in Rhinelander. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Carne Asada tacos came with 4 corn tortilla tacos, rice, and beans. You have choice of toppings on the tacos too. Chicken chimichanga had delicious shredded chicken inside along with some veggies. Awesome ! It came with lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de Gallo, and rice & beans. The chimichanga was covered with a magnificent cheese sauce as well. Can't wait until the quarantine is over to dine in and try some margaritas a

Beef enchiladas with beans and rice (the beans and rice would make a meal all in itself! YUM! )

Absolutely phenomenal service! My family and I found this hidden gem today while out shopping. My husband is in a wheelchair, and they saw him getting out of our handicapped van, and immediately began making sure my husbands needs were met. They stood ready and opened the doors for him, arranged the table for his chair to easily pull up to the table. It is such an amazing thing when you find a business so handicap accessible and accommodating. The food was top notch! Not one single complaint- nothing but great things to say about the food. Our waiter Ezekiel was wonderful. I have picky kiddos, and he got their orders perfectly. Do yourself a favor and GO HERE! Support a phenomenal business, you won't regret it!

Very tourist friendly, I get it (protein choices chicken, beef, steak shrimp). I was looking for more options, like tripa or lengua, lomo en res de arbol to be honest. Elote. Menudo. The menu has all the classic Mexican fare I would call it - tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitas, quesadillas. Traditional dinners as well like Carbe Asada, Bistec ala Mexicana, Huevos Rancheros, and Chilequelles. The restaurant itself is very nice inside and clean, with a beautiful bar area. When you walk in you can see directly into the kitchen and how clean the floors and equipment is. We stopped on a Friday around 3pm, not an ideal time but we had been traveling for half the day and needed to eat. Big points for having a selection of hot sauces at every table, including Tapatio or my favorite El Yucatec Habanero; roja AND verde. Our server was Uriel (great name), who seemed to be the only server on duty, which I understand considering the time and day but he had several tables aside from the 3 of us and spread throughout the place so he was in and out of the dining room constantly. My wife ordered the chile rellenos enchiladas with salsa roja, and my daughter chicken quesadillas. I ordered the bistec Mexicana, with corn tortillas. The meal came with chips and salsa. The salsa had good flavor, timid on the cilantro though, and the chips were good but didn't taste made in house, in my opinion. Our meal arrived soon after ordering, and it was good! The bistec was made with canned or pickled jalapenos, and not fresh, so they lost major points for that. The meat was good, but the jalapenos brought a salt and brine flavor instead of the Smokey fresh and vibrant pop that fresh jalapeños provide. The rice and beans that accompany the meals are well prepared with good flavor. The beans were well executed and almost velvety, and the rice had flavor and consistency. In all, a good meal at a great price point. Would definitely eat here again.
