This is my family's absolute favorite spot to go for lunch or dinner. We go more than I'm willing to publicly admit. Nelson and Ulysses are our go to servers but everyone is fantastic. We feel so welcomed every time we come in, even with our crazy 2 year old. I recommend the shrimp fajitas, tacos de mar, Al pastor street tacos, the supreme burrito or the topopo salad for something lighter. The strawberry jalapeño margarita pitcher is great and you won't find a better deal around town for drinks/food. We'll be customers as long as their doors are open! read more

One of the best locations of this restaurant. I really like the atmosphere and the service. Very fast for lunch and you can order off the lunch menu. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but you leave full and happy. I didn't say fat and happy. But full and happy is much more politically correct. Perhaps you'll have a food baby, I couldn't say for sure. But what I like to order on the lunch menu is the corn flautas with shredded beef. Flauta in Español means flute, which the perfect word for these little things. Okay, you can call them taquitos too, but Flautas are more authentic sounding. Casa Mexico is the most authentic probably in the Flathead. And you'll enjoy whatever you get. read more

Food was...good. Authentic? Well, I'm pretty sure the tamale came from a factory, the relleno was rubbery, refries were thin, and the rice was mediocre. But, chips were hot and fresh, salsa was tasty and custom, service was attentive and friendly, my partner liked their drink, and it scratched that itch for comida Mexicana. Two drinks and two plates ran us $65 (including tip). Not cheap. Not deluxe. But good. I'd go back when that itch scratches. read more

After 45 plus years of living in central California, I got used to having excellent Mexican food with plenty of choices. I was warned that leaving California that I would have problems finding a suitable replacement. Casa Mexico is more than suitable. I'll be more than happy to return. Their chips and salsa is really good. I had the shredded beef chimichanga. The portion was smaller than I'm used to but my fat ass really doesn't need it. Next time I return I'll take pictures. To say I was skeptical of authentic, never mind delicious Mexican food in Montana was an understatement, however; the proximity of this place to my hotel, and after some Kalispell, MT restaurant searches, I settled on Casa Mexico. I walked in on a Sunday night around 6-6:30 and observed 2 things: the place was BUMPIN', and it's HUGE. Everywhere I looked, a table was full. Since I was dining alone, I chose to sit at the bar where I was greeted by the bartender fairly quickly. At first service was a bit slow, but per my previous comment, the place was slammed so I didn't get pissy over it. I ordered a raspberry house margarita (tasty) and snacked on some tortilla chips and salsa (fresh) while I waited for my dinner (amazing). Now I'm a pescatarian which limits me to seafood and I don't eat all seafood. Up until my visit at Casa Mexico, I was noticing a trend for restaurants, sandwich shops, etc. in the area: ALL MEAT ALL DAY LONG. While perusing the Casa Mexico menu, I found several dishes I could eat and had a hard time deciding but I settled on the Camarones a la Creama. I'm glad I did. It was so so so tasty. My biggest gripe with most places is when they don't use the good prawns, but Casa Mexico didn't mess around; good prawns they were, and they didn't skimp out on the quantity of them either. The prawns were in a rich, cheesy, creamy sauce with mushrooms and onions and of course it came with a side of rice and beans. I enjoyed the dish so much that the next night I ordered the same thing, but this time I had it delivered to my hotel (across the street.) read more

The restaurant is very nice in looking. The waiter however was not friendly. Food bland no flavor. The Wild berry Marg was tooo fruity didn't seem to have and tequila ask for a classic Margarita and it was lacking the tequila also although my husbands had much better flavor. Uummm?? Classic looking Mexican restaurant. The chips were warm and they salsa was chunky and tasty. I had the Chile Verda Beef Enchiladas (a safer choice) and it was delicious (check out the photo) My wife got the Steak Fajitas. She said they were great, but the Steak was tough (cheaper cut). Ate here today! The sign said authentic Mexican food! This ain't it! I'm from Houston, Tx and I would not even call it Tex Mex. I ordered the chicken mole, rice and beans. They put sugar or something sweet in the rice and mole!. Ummm, no! The service was ok but the food was not. Two locals told me they had great Mexican food. No they don't. The weather was great and we ate out on the patio which was awesome. I give two stars cause at least the restrooms were clean. read more

Above average Mexican cuisine. 4 stars for Montana, for sure. The food is cooked fresh to order and is always hot. Expect Southern California style Mexican food with lots of onions and tomatillos in most dishes. The service is very good with an excellent wait staff. Menu selection was good, my first problem was when I noticed they charge you for each salsa/chips after the first complimentary one they give you. I then ordered the queso and guac to try for taste. The queso was very mid and guac tasted store bought. My main course tasted very good and you're definitely getting what you pay for. Overall, I had great service and the staff were friendly. Reasonably priced basic Mexican hits the spot. This restaurant serves your basic Mexican foods. It was busy when we arrived but waited less than 10 minutes. Homemade chips and salsa arrived soon after we were seated. The chips tasted as if they were fried in old oil and the salsa was runny but still pretty good. We had enchiladas mole, enchiladas tricolor (red, green and mole sauces) and 3 item combo platter. The combo platter allows you to pick 2 or 3 items of your choice of 6 different items. The food was basic but tasty and arrived hot. The portions were ample and were more than enough except for our hungry teenager. Our server was good and drinks (and refills) came quickly. Although the food isn't innovative, everything went well and hence 4 stars. read more

Very friendly and prompt service as we settled into our booth. He took drink orders and returned quickly. Our party of 4 ordered full dinners and it seemed like five minutes later our plates arrived. The food was nicely presented and tasty though a little bland. With Texas history we prefer spicy heat. They dice and cube their meats rather than more traditional shredded meats. There was no shredded beef as filling but rather bland hamburger. That said, the quality of the foods are good. read more

In 2001 I was tripping around the gorgeous country of Australia and had some of the best food I've ever had in my life. However, 2 months in, I stumbled across a Mexican restaurant in Townesville and being a SoCal kid I figured I had gone 2 months without Mexican food and was craving it something wicked, so I ate there. It was by far the WORST Mexican food I've ever had. It was unrecognizable as Mexican food. No exaggeration. For 19 years it held the title as worst Mexican food I've ever had...until tonight. Tonight...I can say this establishment serves the worst Mexican food I've ever had. My 62 year old wife who grew up in San Diego agreed. Service was laughable, as if we were on candid camera or something. Slow, as if there were two people working, instead of the 38 employees running around like chickens with their heads cut off. But the food...oh GOOD LAWD! The food was inedible. My wife laughed when it hit the table, but bravely took a few bites and pushed the plate away. And this is a person who has eaten food all over the world in every conceivable establishment. I looked at was was served and didn't even recognize it as what I ordered. I poked around to find the dish I ordered under the mess of shredded lettuce and crud that was placed on top, and I finally found something...but was not anything resembling food. The meat was dry and flavorless, the beans were gelatinous, the tortillas were bulk-order bland cardboard, the cheese was rubbery and greasy. It was honestly laughable. We just had some more tequila and laughed at the attempt at "Authentic Mexican". The only reason this place experiences the volume it does (in Summer months), is because it's a tourist volume looking to meet Mexican cravings; so they come once and never come back. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. read more

We were able to go out to a real sit down restaurant with friends for the first time since March! What a relief - great to have tasty comfort food to celebrate. Very cozy rustic interior w plenty of tables & booths. Centrally located on Route 93 in Kalispell near Rosauers. Plenty of parking. The servers were attentive & friendly as always. Since it was still cool & sprinkling outside, we decided to pass on the pretty outdoor patio filled with colorful umbrellas. Tables were clean, precautions taken & every other table was occupied w happy people. We arrived early on a Sunday evening & got one of the last available indoor tables - a line was queued up as we were leaving. Just a heads up. However, I think they take reservations for larger groups... Super good Mexican food, no complaints. I had the chili relleno combo plate w black beans. Friends had the special, the shrimp mojo de Ajo, and another combo plate. Everyone happily dug in & enjoyed every bite. Not too spicy, not too bland. The salsa is Goldilocks good, too. Lots of chips served right away. I must say that the shrimp mojo de Ajo looked fantastic served w a chunky green salad - I'll order that next time. For Montana, this place is acceptable..The chili Verde had flavor, meat was tender and the consistency of the green chili sauce was good. As you can see by my picture, the beans looked like they came from a can and the rice wasn't anything special either. Presentation wise..it was a disaster. I'm thinking that people eating here really don't care about how their food looks since getting good, flavorful Mexican food is hard to come by here in Montana! The tortilla(flour) were dry , thick and tasted like cardboard. Only wine margaritas here and the chips are NOT warm and homemade like another person said. I tell my waitress she says no it's ok no one else complain just you I said look I opened up the burrito she said no its ok I told her I dont want this I only took 2 or 3 Bites . The only fresh item served was the lime on the side of the glass. Food was straight out of the freezer section at the local grocery store. Worst was the guacamole which was just green slop. This place is the favorite of the locals here in Kalispell. My favorite is the Machaca , that's scrambled eggs with shredded beef and flour or corn tortillas. Very nice people and very clean. They are adding on a casino. read more
