When asked for the differences between margaritas he pointed to the menu and said read it yourself. He never smiled or explained anything but just simply asked us what do you want ? We honestly felt like leaving but love the food here. Another table sat down and another server walked up to the table as friendly as can be. Eduardo spent the time we were there on his phone in a corner. This is the only Mexican restaurant in WP and seriously this is the worst experience we've ever had which is too bad because the food is decent and the margaritas are good. Lasted about 15 minutes before deciding to leave. We are not from the area and brought a extra soda bottle (had no idea it was illegal). Once told, the drink was put away. We then overheard the workers talking (not nicely) about us in the corner of the restaurant. We decided it was an unfriendly environment and decided to pay for our drinks and leave when they informed us our total was going to be 17 dollars. We had ordered two drinks and some waters but were going to pay for the drinks anyway. Apparently they expected us to pay for the chips and salsa they brought out when we sat down. This was a problem because we did not ask for them yet were expected to pay for it. Things quickly got heated and the cops were called. The owner told the cops we were "unwilling to pay". The cop sided with us and the situation was solved. In the end the whole situation was blown out of proportion. Not sure how the food is but beware of upsetting the employees or it could go downhill fast! read more

We had a horrible experience here. Food was horrible and no flavor. We ordered a small margarita and were served and charged for medium margaritas. It was the worst margarita I have ever had. It tasted like soda water with triple sec. We ordered a salad with shrimp. The description was nothing like it came out and had broccoli and cauliflower on it. No guacamole no cheese no sour cream. It was basically mush. The two beef tacos were soggy and disgusting. We were given a "shot" and my cup was broken and chipped - which is interesting as to why you would willingly give someone a glass like that. Overall a horrible experience and $100 for two people to eat here because they charge whatever they want and add on credit card fees. We have been here in the past and had zero issues. We got take-out from here while visiting Winter Park during COVID. We really appreciated the safety measures they had in place. Our food was hot and fresh, even once we got back to the hotel. The portions were HUGE and very tasty. I've never seen Carnitas as an option on flautas before and they were yummy! The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the chips were stale and the salsa wasn't good at all - I typically judge a restaurant by it's salsa. If I did that in this case, we wouldn't go back, but the food was so good that we would go back anyway, lol. read more

I wish I had done my due diligence before dining at this establishment. The food was subpar and concocted in an interesting manner. The house margaritas were $40 a pitcher. Absolutely ridiculous. The service is chaotic, as they can not bring out drinks on time or simply provide napkins. To top it off, they try to reconcile the experience with "free" tequila shots. Food was incredible, drinks were delicious and the service was super friendly and fast!! None of the food felt overly greasy (even the chorizo) and we were all stuffed and still had leftovers. We had the pollo loco, spinach enchiladas and chicken fajitas. All of them were great! Miguel was a very attentive server and the owner was great at checking up on all the tables. Classic authentic Mexican restaurant - strong margs and large portions. Table was happy overall ordering enchiladas, fajitas and tacos. My dad and I split the molcajete dish with shrimp, chicken and steak in a tomato and cheese sauce (can't remember the name but under house specialties). Almost too much cheese (if possible) but the meat and sauce were fantastic. Afterwards, they even comp'd a little tequila based digestif. We had a great time at Casa Mexico. The nachos were typical "American" nachos but they had all the bells and whistles. The wings had buffalo sauce on them. I was hoping for something a little more authentic. The food was good (American) Mexican food. The house Margaritas were delicious. We had the middle size, which was quite large. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought us a shooter of their house-made tequila. We sipped it and it was pretty smooth. He offered us a second, but we declined. i made an account just to make this review. the food was incredibly mediocre, waiter was rude. It felt like it might be a legit mexican place, but oh my god was i wrong. The queso was a bowl of oil and old cheese, the shrimp was sour as were the beans, the chicken and steak were beyond overcooked while the rice was undercooked. now i can take a bad meal here and there but my bill was 75 dollars for two!!! i can't recommend anyone eat here and anyone who enjoys the food has clearly never had good mexican food. read more

Food is usually good, this time it wasn't. Waiter basically ordered wrong item for me and it was bland and mushy. BUT the main reason for 2 stars is not only do they charge 3% for credit card(2% is max allowed in Colorado) they also do not tell you and it's not on bill they give you, just on receipt after the fact. Credit card fees are cost of doing business and customers shouldn't pay it. read more

Being a Texas girl (who loved Mexican food) in a touristy spot in Colorado can mean slim Pickens for Mexican food. This place was nice, very clean and offered great customer service. I rate the food a 3.5 maybe 4 but service was certainly a 5. The carbs asada was a good portion and tasted well seasoned. The sides were good- nothing to brag about. The guacamole was nothing short of peppery and sad. If you're a child and dip person the salsa is very peppery and not very authentic. The Queso blank is more water than Queso but tolerable if you've been hiking or skiing and just need to get something in your tummy. The check was fair for the portion. read more

I love to try Tortilla Soup in every Mexican Restaurant- this soup was amazing! Lots of lime flavor, chunks of chicken, the right amount of stringy/melted cheese & at least a whole avocado... It could easily serve 4 people- not kidding! Took it home & ate it again later that night. Carnita tacos were tender & flavorful! My husband had a huge Fajita burrito. We ate early and the huge portions allowed us a take home bag, so then we ate it again later, back at our condo.
