Mexican - kind of - You know those funny commercials where a lady from minnesota makes tacos - hard shell ground beef no seasoning - I think she might be the chef. I'm not sure that less effort could have been put into the food... Nachos - cold queso on the bottom, then chips then grated cheese that was only partially melted. Tangy guac on top. This is a small place and we timed it just right to get a table for 6. The queso and chips were a big hit with everyone esp the 2 yo. I got a spinach chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. My husband really enjoyed his carnitas tacos. Their margaritas are very good too. read more

We were so pleasantly surprised by our experience at Lime! It wasn't too crowded at 12:30 for lunch and we were easily seated for a table. They have vegan options!!!! I had the street tacos- 2 vegan impossible and 1 portobello (no cheese). They were so tasty and the perfect portion. We found the payment system very difficult and when we asked for help or a different solution, we were faced with resentment from the staff. Our waiter expressed verbal frustration when we didn't leave a "good tip". She said "you should always tip your servers". It is always the customers decision whether to leave a tip and we should not be pressured unless we decide we want to leave a tip. Additionally, the restaurant offered nothing deserving of a tip. Tables Crowded so the waiter had to keep bumping into my chair to get to his table (not his fault, nor the reason for review) The salsa tasted like garlic spaghetti sauce. The southwest eggrolls, again, no flavor and they put a pile of lettuce and pico (I think it was pico) in the middle and the water from the lettuce made the bottom of the eggrolls all soggy and mushy. Went there to try the sweet corn tamales, they were out so I opted for the carne asada street tacos. Supposed to come with a side of tomatillo salsa but I never got that. Super blah/meh on all food. When we got sat it took a while for a server to greet us, we ordered drinks and our food at the same time and waited almost an hour for our food to come out. They are 3 tacos with your choice of meat and topped with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and pico de gallo and a side of rice and beans. It is a very filling dish. I was between the chicken tinga and beef barbacoa tacos. I ultimately decided to go with the chicken tinga. It appears the cook read my mind because I received two chicken tingas and one beef barbacoa. They were both good. The rice and beans were average. My wife's beef fajitas were also good. The best thing, though, were the scorpions. They are shrimp with jalapeños and cream cheese in a fried wonton. Excellent. Very spicy too. Whatever you decided to eat make sure you try the scorpions, unless your heat tolerance is low. To top things off, service was great. Winter park- Didn't acyually order food. We stopped for a drink and a quick snack. The server was nice enough. We ordered 2 margaritas. One on the rocks 21 oz was $20 and one frozen mini mighty margarita$9. Nachos were $14. Not worth the price at all. There was plenty of cheese but not enough chips. They do offer military discount of 10%. Taxes in Winter Park are 12.86% All in all,it was relaxing atmosphere. Prices were a little high for what you get. Oh man I loved this spot! Located in the cute hallmark-ish winter park resort. We were able to get a table for 10 relatively easy! Our server was also the bartender and he did a fantastic job. We did a couple of pitchers of the spicy margs and chips and queso. Both were delicious. We all tried different dishes. I went for the three tacos knowing I'd be taking some bites from my kids sides. Otherwise I'd opt for a dish that came with more food. The tacos were smaller than I expected even knowing they're street size - I wish it came with beans and rice. I know a lot of businesses are suffering from understaffing, but Lime needs some help. Two servers to manage a full restaurant on a Saturday evening following a beer festival. I was amazed we were served at all with how thin the poor staff is spread. We were here for dinner with another couple and two kiddos. We were seated after only a short wait, but we sat for 20-30 minutes without being greeted and needed to flag someone down to order. We ordered some scorpions, which are a tasty fried, cream-cheesy shrimp appetizer. My husband and I shared the nachos with chicken tinga, and we got three street tacos, carne asada, al pastor, and habanero shrimp. The nachos were good and filling. All our food also came out hot and didn't take terribly long, so the kitchen must have efficient staff. The street tacos weren't very good though, kind of soggy, something missing from the flavor; they needed the salsa to perk them up. Overall, it's a bit spendy for the portion size, but you are on the resort. This is probably an okay place for lunch if you are looking for some appetizers and margaritas, but if you're hungry and it's busy, I might head down the mountain and find something else. read more

I'm a big fan of Lime in Denver, so I was pretty excited to discover the Lime at Winter Park! There's not much better than a good, strong marg after a full day on the slopes - especially a $4 Marg on happy hour! They have a daily happy hour from 3 to 6 which includes $4 margs & drafts - pretty awesome if you're looking for a reasonable, relaxing end to your ski day. This place definitely gets busy though, which I'm sure makes it hard for the waiters & waitresses to get to everyone! They were pretty good when we were there, but kudos to them cause I could see that getting difficult. Along with margs, I got the queso nachos when I went - these were good but came on a much smaller plate than anticipated, especially considering the price. There was something in my margarita that I had to fish out - maybe it was mold, or perhaps a discarded piece of lettuce, I just hope it had some penicillin on board. An overall terrible experience. Worst? Absolutely no service. Waited for several minutes to even be acknowledged and the place was almost empty. Most of the tables were messy from not being cleaned. Finally the bar tender acknowledges us and she ended up being our server. Delivered our bland, lukewarm food and never came back. Looked way understaffed but that's not my problem. The waitstaff was ok, bartender guy was kinda rude when asked about whiskey his response was I only drink tequila. The portion size for the soup bowl was good, we ordered a side of tortillas with it. The shrimp tacos portion size was smallish, but for the price it's expected on the mountain. We arrived around 11:50am on a Saturday and were seated quickly at a tall top table, though truth be told, we had our choice of nearly anywhere in the restaurant. Without breaking the bank, we enjoyed 2 beers, chips and guacamole, a chicken tinga quesadilla (not spicy) and breakfast burrito all served in less than 30 minutes. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, but also anticipating the lunch rush to start at any minute (people started comIng in right around 12:30). The guacamole was a little bland, lacking a brightness or sweetness from salsa, limes, oranges, anything... I will try the queso next time. The salsa tasted like it had been roasted and had a very complex and slightly spicy bite. I saved some to add to my quesadilla and was quite pleased. I really enjoyed the quesadilla and would definitely order again. It was served with sour cream and guacamole on the side. I was also interested in the street tacos, but changed my mind when I learned you cannot mix and match flavors, all three must be the same. With a nice selection of beers, margaritas, and well drinks, plus TVs, this is a great little joint to have an après. Mexican after a morning at the slopes...who could say no to that? Since I dont actually ski/board, or like the cold and snow, I met some friends here for lunch. Other then the $30 I paid for parking, I was very impressed. The have these shrimp jalapeno peppers that are amazing. I believe they are called scorpions?? The margarita pitchers are delicious as well. Whether you get original or flavored, you cant go wrong. The portions are large. I turned mine into two meals. Sorry was disappointed. Only restaurant open in Winter park area. We waited for 1hr 20minutes with a 5 year old. You have to bribe the waitresses which we did not do. The blonde one is a Karen so have fun. They work slow and it's not first come first serve. Bribery is key here. We saw first hand and when we told the blonde we got yelled at.
