Without a doubt the best birria tacos in the entire SCV! We've been loyal fans of another SCV favorite Mexican restaurant with the initials LC, but have made the switch! Jessenia up front and Lalo in the kitchen make a great team with her prompt service and his magical touch. She always greets us with a warm smile and Lalo knows what we want! We went on Easter hoping they were open and it didn't disappoint. Both had a positive attitude despite having to work the holiday and were very attentive, which was a plus. We hope they get the Dodger channel back, so we can spend happy hour watching the games. Jessenia knows how to make a mean Margarita with a touch of sliced up jalapeño. This place is amazing! I've gone with my sister a few times, and we love it. I usually get 2 cheese enchiladas with one shredded beef and they come with rice and beans. My absolute favorite meal to get there. The staff is great! I don't remember her name but she's usually always there when we go and she treats us like family, she's kind, sweet and attentive, basically she's awesome. The place is cute and have music playing in the background. They do need to bring back the special bean dip (frijoles puercos) they made to go with the chips. It was delicious but i was told they removed them because they were thought to be a little spicy. They honestly tasted just like the ones my mom makes so i was sad to hear they don't make them anymore. Also got two agua frescas-- horchatas. Everything was good; the horchatas were perfect-- smooth, not grainy like most places. The platters were also good, (oh my gosh the arroz y frijoles were muy bueno) but the fries were a little soggy and oily. We wound up wasting it, which I really hate doing. But overall, I would say this place is good-- if you are in the mood for Mexican food and are in the area, you should eat here! read more

I think I must have communicated my desire for some delicious spicy habanero salsa because the lady at the front counter gave me a generous amount - and boy did she get a loyal customer from doing that. I just dumped the entire habanero salsa container on a delicious juicy warm pastor taco and inhaled it!!! It was sooo good. I have been coming to Casa Pasilla for a few years now. I can honestly say it's one of the best Mexican restaurants in Santa Clarita. Our favorite foods here are the nacho fries, tacos, and hibiscus margaritas. They also have some really good salsas. Their creamy jalapeño salsa is our favorite. The front end staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the service overall has always been great. If I ever have had anything go wrong with my food they have always been pretty quick to correct it. Shout out to the manager Hannah for being awesome and really working hard to show us how much they care about their business. It's a smaller restaurant and has a really family type of ambiance. I called in at 7pm, after reading they close at 8pm on yelp, and spoke to woman who didn't seem to understand my question. "What's the latest time you seat people? " I rephrased it as many times as I could think of, to no avail. I settled with, "what time do you close?" just to make it clear, we were headed over. Of course she replied 8pm in an annoyed tone and hung up. I then scoured yelp and typed "close" in the search to read the reviews about coming in to be seated around close time. Saw one hopeful review that stood out, stating they came in 30 min till close and were warmly greeted and told they could stay as long as possible and even got free flan! Yada Yada Yada.... wrapping this up because my wet burrito from Margarita's (plan b) just arrived. They reluctantly let us sit then called to the back for chips and a guy in the back asked why?
