This place was terrible. I got fajitas but the tortillas were stale and crunchy so I asked for soft and fresh ones. I waited 15 minutes and I had to get up and go to the pay station to ask for the manager. He was nasty and said "Well you have the fresh tortillas now so what is the problem?" I explained that I wanted to eat at the same time as my friend with me but the food was now all cold. I said I wanted it to be a no charge. He argued with me the I was a new customer and that he didn't care if I never came back, it didn't matter to him, he said. I have been going there for 15 years. Just happened to be in Valencia on May 5th, and needed to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, so was looking for restaurants to go to and found Azul Tequila, and away we went! Had a dog with us, and Azul welcomed animals on the patio, so we were seated right away and started off with an appetizer and drinks. The margaritas were flavorful, and a decent size, so definitely can't complain. The nachos were also pretty good, though the enchilada sauce made some of the chips overly soggy, which no one likes. For entrees, we tried a few. The California burrito was tasty, stuffed with al pastor meat, guac, fries, cheese, etc. Just a nice bite. The asada burrito, not as great, definitely should have asked for the sauce on the side (she lives and learns). And the fajitas looked delicious but the meat was a little on the drier side internally, so they weren't memorable outside of that dryness. Staff was great, food was ok, but can recommend the California burrito and the nachos (ask for less enchilada sauce), but you can skip the asada burrito and fajitas. The food was super oily and tasted like it had gone bad. The rice was very dry and beans looked unappetizing. After eating 1 taco my stomach started hurting. Also, getting our check took way too long, I just wanted to leave because it was getting me nauseous. The restaurant also needs upgrades, and I wish there was only one thing playing. 4+ came out to meet some family in this area to go to Magic Mountain. This place was located across the street from the hotel they were staying at. I got into the area a little early so I came here to kill some time and drink some beers and tequila. Just note that I did not eat any food here on my visit - it was only for drinks. The vibe here was pretty chill on a Friday night. I sat at the bar right away and was helped by some friendly bartenders. They got a really good selection of tequilas and a solid selection of beers and other spirits. Parking was super easy to find as the lot was pretty big and the place wasn't super busy. I ordered 2 take out meals. One was the salmon shrimp mango entre and the other was the mango chicken entre. Gabriel was kind enough to offer me water or something while I waited. While I was waiting I checked out the Atmosphere and it was Awesome. The restaurant was clean and the service pretty quick. I was told that the chicken mango entre came with rice and black beans but that the beans were put on the side, because the person I ordered the entre doesn't like beans and it was important that the beans be separated! When I got home and the meals were served up, my salmon shrimp mango was dry! The chicken mango was so dry that it splintered when bitten into! The beans were Not separated so I ended up with all the rice from an entre meant for someone else! These meals were very Disappointing and Substandard. This was a terrible way to start the night! I tried to become a weekly regular here, because the food is decent. However, my order lacks consistency. Depending on who is making your plate, depends on the quality you receive. And I prefer a place that consistently delivers the same thing every time. Especially for the price. If I'm ordering tortilla soup, don't give me a bowl of just tomatoes and onions one week, and only chicken the next. If I order flan, you must include the sauce everytime. I came here after a trip to Six Flags and I really enjoyed it. I ordered a Receta de la Abuela and split an order of fish ceviche. The restaurant was bustling and service was good. Our server treated us very well. Chips, salsa, and bean dip came complimentary. They were absolutely fantastic. The bean dip is extremely good and the chips are above average since they are seasoned. The seasoning reminds me of the Cool Ranch doritos. The red salsa was classic, but didn't stand out like the bean dip did. This was so good that we got seconds. The ceviche is good and comes with some airy tostadas. My main entree was also perfect. It's well portioned and everything is balanced. I like the vegetables and how the dish isn't over salted. Her energy is effortless -- warm, confident, and just the right amount of fun. She doesn't just make drinks... she creates an experience. Every cocktail she crafted was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented, and somehow she made it look easy even when the bar was busy. What really stood out though was her attention to detail. She remembered what we liked, checked in at the perfect moments, and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. That kind of hospitality is rare. They had it decorated so cute with lots of flowers and balloons for Mother's Day and minus those decorations, the decor and everything for the regular days is super cute and warm and inviting the staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything was very clean. I ordered the fish ceviche tostada and it was good. The onions in it were very big pieces of red onion not diced FYI, but it was OK to deal with just thought I'd mention that cause I know people are not big onion fans and it kind of matters if onions are diced or in bigger chunks I found it easier to pick out super big pieces of onions, but I believe they were pickled red onions, which are absolutely delicious in my opinion. The fish ceviche tasted very fresh. It was good fresh avocado. I also ordered a margarita and it was a delicious. I will recommend that maybe the restaurant creates a separate drink menu because the drink menus that they gave us with all the margarita options were double-sided and had appetizer bites on the other side, which apparently is only for the happy hour days and times which sometimes people don't read that and so we ordered off of that little menu, which was a bit confusing cause we did go on a Saturday during those times but maybe because it was Mother's Day wasn't being served so I would say to eliminate the confusion for people so that they don't order off of a happy hour menu don't put the happy hour menus out until it's happy hour maybe and create a separate drink menu that would just be less of a confusion and hassle Other than that. My wife and I came in for dinner on Tuesday evening. I had the chile verde. It was tasty and had a little kick. I wasn't too impressed with the refried beans, they didn't have much flavor. My wife had enchiladas and a taco combo. She said that her food was not that hot (temperature). I also felt like the service wasn't good. My wife and I are not drinkers and we came in during happy hour. The waitress never came to our table to see how we were doing. Azul has one of the best happy hours I have ever seen. Not only is it from 3 to 9 PM Monday through Thursday and 3 to 7 PM on Fridays put the prices are incredibly affordable, and the food is great! What's not to love? Their fruit blended margaritas are delicious, I normally don't enjoy these but here they don't taste super artificial or too sweet. I love the mangonada $8.95 not on happy hour and made with vodka, it is soooo good and I don't like sweet drinks. I am a vodka/soda type of gal. The food is great honestly. I would compare it to just a level under Salsa & Beer if you've been! The sampler platter on happy hour is a great deal, everything was delicious. We also had a tostada de ceviche de pescado. Next time I am getting a full order nachos or taquitos, we got a small taste on the sampler and loved! I have been for regular sit down dinner as well and we all enjoyed our food. Carne asada plate, tacos (chorizo was the best) and tortillas are hechas a mano, and the wet burrito de asada was delicious. I was immediately seated and was brought some fresh chips with bean dip and salsa. I had the choice of mild or spicy salsa. The server was very attentive and kept my drink topped off. I came here for the happy hour. I ordered a strawberry margarita, and the shrimp flautas. I really like how the flautas were deep fried in the way that made the outside really crispy and the inside soft and flavorful. The margarita on the other hand needed work... or a new blender. The margarita was ordered blended but there were so many large ice chunks that it was impossible to drink with a straw and too cold to drink without it as it caused brain freeze.
