Easter Sunday brunch was more than I could home for. The owners and the staff treated us like family. It was all you can rate buffet with more choices that you could hope for. The service was quick to pick up our used plates but offered to deliver food to our table if we were too full to get up. Apparently half of the family are from Italy. What a warm welcome. First time will be long time!!!!! From the minute we walked in too the time we left it was by far my favorite restaurant in Fort Pierce!!! Juliette was our server and she was as pleasant and knowledgeable as a professional server could be! The open kitchen was shot to watch professionals work their craft. I don't like giving bad reviews to restaurants but the owners of this restaurant need to know that they are not going to survive if they don't make some changes. After reading all the positive reviews, I wanted to love the place! I went with three friends on a Wednesday for lunch. I called ahead because we all love a buffet and I had seen some videos online that showed a beautiful sumptuous buffet that looked very good. The person on the phone said that they indeed had a buffet. When we arrived, my three friends went up to look at the buffet. The two women came back to the table and said it was not for them. The one gentleman in my group came back to the table with a wilted salad and two tiny meatballs on a very small plate. Some men will eat anything! I then went up and was horrified by what I saw. Slices of cold, dried out quiche, small sandwiches that looked like they had seen better days, two chafing dishes with meatballs in red sauce and gnocchi in pasty looking Alfredo sauce, assorted dry looking pastries. So many carbs!!! Our male lunch companion was very hungry and was obviously ready to eat anything at any cost. We three ladies would not have stayed if our friend hadn't jumped the gun and had given us the chance to leave but we ended up staying and ordering off the dinner menu. There was a lunch menu as well but it was very limited. The other two ladies ordered the Bolognese which was described as having short ribs in the sauce. I think there were a few shreds of short rib in the sauce. I have 20/20 vision and it was not visible to me! I ordered Quadrotti Pomodoro which is a pasta shape that I have never heard of (and I am an old Italian) with a lamb stuffing. It turned out to be five ravioli stuffed with cheese with a pomodoro sauce. I could not detect lamb in the ravioli nor in the sauce. We didn't complain and that's on us. My friends get embarrassed when someone complains. They don't want to spoil the experience for others. We all went home hungry and minus a lot of cash. My pasta with a side of mushy broccoli came to $39.59. I eat out a lot and I don't mind paying for excellent food but $40 for the meal that was served to me was exorbitant! The owner of this restaurant needs to know that there are a lot of people that will go away unhappy and will not complain and not come back. People don't want to complain or create a scene. If I was on my own I would have spoken to the manager. I feel bad that I chose this restaurant and brought my friends to have a bad experience. read more

Easily the best meal we've had in Florida. Authentic Italian food. Cacio de Pepe with homemade pasta was a light and creamy delight. My husband's Carbonara pasta also amazing. Casa Pasta was a major disappointment. Despite having some of the best Yelp reviews in the area, our recent dining experience was one of the worst we have ever had. I started with a dirty Martini, which by its taste was comprised of water, vermouth and olive brine with no hint of gin. Undrinkable. The waitress had another made for me, which was OK. Casa Pasta claims that all of its food is freshly prepared, though I find this very hard to believe. We had the meatball appetizer; the meatballs were dry, rubbery and not very flavorful - served on top of a very generic marinara sauce; all hallmarks of the meatballs having been made days in advance and re-heated in a micro wave. The pastas we had as our mains, carbonara and cacio e pepe, were even worse. The spaghetti was dense and had the consistency of rubber bands. I can't even imagine how it was possible to achieve that consistency using fresh, homemade pasta. The sauces were pasty and not very flavorful: like they were thickened with flour. The dessert was decent, but I suspect prepared off-site. The coffee tasted like slightly bitter water. The wine selection was limited, but the pours were generous. Ambiance was...well there really isn't any. The service was fairly good, but even if it was absolutely stellar, there is no way it could compensate for awful quality of the food served. read more

I dined with friends who both enjoyed their meals. However, my Cacio e Pepe was just plain bad. It was served to me as a small, cold, congealed pile of pasta sitting in a pool of water. I did not eat it, but since it took quite a while to be served, I did not request a different meal. I thought the menu was very expensive for pasta, $23.00 for a dish that is comprised of only pasta, cheese and pepper is ridiculous. Salads are a la carte and also very pricey. We thought we'd try out the new pasta restaurant in Fort Pierce (we are BIG pasta lovers) and we were NOT disappointed. Our server, Dennis, was delightful and very attentive. We enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine and started out with the bruschetta which had a nice twist... the toasts were topped with ricotta, halves of cherry tomatoes and one of the toasts was topped with prosciutto, while the other topped with mortadella and pistachios...delicious! We ordered the bolognese and asked for paperdalle instead of spaghetti and Dennis was happy to accommodate. Added the meatballs which were very tender and flavorful- good choice!! Also ordered the cheesy pasta prepared table side by the chef - if you've never done this, it is well worth it!! It was also fun to watch the chefs in the kitchen making fresh pasta right before our eyes! Finished off with tiramisu which we highly recommend. I could tell it was made fresh in house and topped with a small squeeze vial of amaretto to dribble on top. One of the best I've had! While camping in Stuart, FL, we drove to Ft Pierce, to do some sightseeing. During our walk we came across an Italian restaurant called Casa Pasta at 100 S 2nd St and decided to give it a try. The menu wasn't extensive, but what it did have sounded delicious. What caught my eye was an old favorite I ate as a child, Bistec a la Milanesa. I've tried this meal at various restaurants in the Tampa area, and have been disappointed. However, I have been in search of the true flavor of my childhood favorite for many years. So, my wife and I decide to give it a try. Best decision, ever! The dish was delicious! The steak was slightly breaded, perfectly cooked and deliciously tender. The sauce was neither thick, or watery thin. It's consistency, along with the spices and cheese, allowed the sauce and steak flavors to frolic among the tastebuds. I think I even closed my eyes, as I sometimes do with very fine chocolate, to enhance my experience. While speaking to one of the owners, we learned they were open for three months. Also, the owners are family with his aunt and cousin doing the cooking. Which explained that delicious, homemade, unrushed flavor that was present when my aunt made it for me. So if you want a great meal, and not in rush, savor the homemade Italian pasta and sauce of Casa Pasta. Though I am sure everything is delicious at Casa Pasta, try the Bistec a la Milanesa. We were greeted with a warm greeting. The service was amazing. Someone was always checking on us and getting us whatever we needed. Both dinners were amazing. The pasta was done perfectly. The sauces were so tasty. We also got wine from a very nice wine list to match up with the dinner. This was our first time eating at Casa Pasta, but it won't be our last.
