Excellent Mexican food restaurant. Highly recommended. My friend disagrees, though. Ahead says that he food is never served hot.

Somewhat new to the area, and starting to try the various Mexican restaurants nearby. Just went to Casa Perez for the first time, and while it was okay, we will definitely continue our search for really good Mexican food in the quad cities area. Located in a shopping center, out in front of the big Fry's store, this place immediately hits you with vibrant colors when you walk in the door. They have many tables, several booths, and a bar area with some seating. (And a full bar!) The menu is pretty extensive, covering both the typical Mexican fare, as well as some of the specialties you won't always find. We tried the chicken mole enchiladas and the carnitas. Both dishes had generous portions; the carnitas was average, a bit on the bland side. The mole enchiladas were better, filled with a lot of chicken. Refried beans were very good; but the rice was not so good - over flavored for my tastes. (I like Mexican rice to be subtle, so it offsets the spiciness of everything else.) The chips and salsa were average. Service was also average; somewhat abrupt and not really friendly. Probably won't be going back any time soon, unless we find all the other Mexican places nearby are worse. read more

Solid Mexican place away from home - when we visit here we've been disappointed by the last 5 Mexican places we've tried here. This one was very good. Try the mango margarita! Beautifully decorated, colorful restaurant and sweet service. Ideal for families. Bit expensive for a local chain, but it wasn't bad. Big portions, decent quality. Carne asada - tough meat. This is my go-to at Mexican restaurants. I've had better. 3/5 Casa Perez fajitas - delicious, but wish it had more pieces of shrimp. 4/5 Mojito - big jug, but way too sweet. It was pure sugar. The food is authentic Mexican food, from the refried beans, to the rice, the fried corn tortillas for the tacos. Salsa and chips are dangerously delicious. We ate so much that we barely had room for the meal. The dessert menu is amazing. There are some choices that you will only find in a Mexican household! I want to go back just for the desserts; sopapillas, buñuelos, and flan! Service is fast and precise. The decor is bright, colorful, and welcoming. My only critique is the mixed drink, bartender/waitress goes very easy on the alcohol l, so don't bother ordering. Order a mocktail instead. read more

Great food and friendly service! From the moment we walked in to leaving, they were friendly and seemed happy to see us. We are from so Calif so Mexican food is near & dear to us. We dined here on a Wednesday evening about 5:00pm. The menu offers many choices. We ordered enchiladas carnitas with rice & beans. Very tasty and homemade. The portions were adequate. Not overly huge as many restaurants tend to lean to these days. Our server was so nice and attentive, but not over attentive. We had what we needed. The restaurant was very clean and spacious and appeared to be quite accessible. I would definitely go back, if we lived here. We read the ratings and decided to try this restaurant. To summarize to opinion would be a bit of disappointment. We each ordered #7 which included a hard shell string beef taco and a Chili Reano. The TACO was Very good. Included were beans and rice and were both blah. Not bad but just okay. The Chili Reano was not fully cooked as the inside cheese wea a solid wedge not even melted. My wife Service was not bad but the waitress never returned to check on our dinner. Oh well. We will not return but mabe it was just a bad day. Good luck. read more

Spent a lot of money on some steak that we literally couldn't eat, was like jerky. Pointed it out to the waitress and her response was "oh". No offer to replace or make right and definitely no apology. I will never spend my money there again. read more

Casa Perez is a large, brightly lit Mexican restaurant near the Fry's in PV. Furniture is hand-painted with cheerful Mexican scenes, walls nicely decorated. It's very clean--much appreciated. The menu is quite large with extensive selections in every category (appetizers, soups, combination plates, specialties, etc.) and with a full bar. My steak picado was a generous portion of tender steak bits in a light stew with onions and peppers, and rice, refried beans, guacamole and lettuce. Very tasty. My wife liked her chicken enchilada, with the usual sides plus sour cream. Service by Leonard was friendly, professional, cheerful, and since this was our first visit, we got complementary dessert. In my top 3 Mexican restaurants in the area. I sorta like their Dewey location better 'cuz, kitsch and atmosphere, but the food is the same and that's what really brings us back. Outstanding staff that walks the perfect line between attentive and overbearing. "Just like my Mama's," says the hubs. My go-to is the carnitas and sometimes I like to switch it up and make a carnitas quesadilla. Virgin margs are on the mark, too. read more

If you like good authentic Mexican food, you'll like casa Perez Prescott valley. I had the steak picado and it was excellent! Meat was tender and tasty and the sauce was tomatoey and vegetables were great. Btw if you like ice tea, theirs is refreshing and they serve it in a large glass! Very smart! We've been to both locations , the service is great and the restaurant itself is fantastic. Where has the quality gone ? I feel so bad for restaurants , they are stuck between quality and price. First let me say, service was good and our waitress was very nice... food just okay. Received our lunch bill and could not figure why soooooo high?!? Wow wow and Wow! Our favorite hole in the wall mex restaurant was closed in Prescott on Labor Day. We had to venture out into Prescott Valley because many places were closed. I found this place on Yelp and because we are visual eaters we appreciated the photos of food but especially the names of the items, and current menus. This place has the cutest carved and colorful furniture the most darling waitress tiny gal with a perfect accent, soooo friendly. Now onto the food everything was excellent, the kids meals big and generous, stuffed poblano pepper. We have never seen that in a menu excellent! The tamale was huge and more focused on the filling than the masa, chili relleno was great too. First time coming here and the food here is amazing! Being hispanic and growing up eating nothing but Mexican food I can honestly say that it's very authentic, everything we had was very well marinated and full of flavor. I had the fajitas that came with carne asada, chicken, and shrimp! And they were delicious! Even the vegetables were very well seasoned with a charbroiled taste. Beans and rice were cooked to perfection, and the hubby had a shredded beef burrito and of coarse I had to do a quality control test to taste the beef and it was cooked just right! It was full of flavor. I've had a lot of shredded beef in the past but this one is ONE of the BEST I've ever had! They have extremely great customer service, very friendly and our waitress Dannyra was very professional polite and attentive. As soon as you walk into this restaurant it takes you back to Mexico with its full vibrant colors and It's also very nicely decorated with a great atmosphere! They have a full bar and a lot of different selections for their entrees!We met the manager that was very friendly and kind. So we will be back next time we visit beautiful Prescott! read more

Don't let the surroundings fool you! If I wasn't already so confident in following Yelp I might have turned around. I'm so glad we didn't - excellent food and drinks! Came for an early dinner on a Saturday evening and were seated fairly quickly. Margaritas were good (although they could have been a little colder/iced) but it was the food that was so unexpectedly superior: both the shredded beef in the burrito and the pork carnitas in the enchiladas were both top notch! The beans were not overly salty nor were the entrees. Service was excellent without being intrusive. I feel that it was quite reasonably priced too. (Maybe it's because this same meal would've cost 25% more in SoCal?). I think they have another location also - I would check it out! read more

So I noticed since they did their remodel that the food has gone down hill in quality and taste ( salsa was runny and weak , while ground beef was more like Taco Bell granulated paste and guacamole had zero seasoning) I expect when a restaurant is ran entirely by Spanish speaking people that there will be spicy flavorful food and was really disappointed. The service was amazing and speedy and the ambiance was beautiful, just lacking authenticity.
