I signed up just to leave a review for this place. FIRST, they trick you into thinking its not an Azteca by calling it something else. I wouldn't have even gone if I knew it was Azteca, but after eating here, I seriously wished I was actually in a real Azteca, because they are at least clean etc... I got the enchiladas and they were actually pretty good until I pulled out a full 8x10 inch piece of saran wrap out of my mouth. It was all wadded up and I thought maybe it was a dried chili skin or something. But no, I spit it out and unfolded it and it was HUGE! The size of a piece of printer paper. I immediately called my waitress over and she ran away with the plate right away and said she'd have the manager come over. Well, the lady who came over was not the manager at all and she said she would see what the I suppose 'real' manager would do. He came over and said that he would credit off my meal from the bill, which was totally unacceptable. I was with 3 other people and no one could continue eating after seeing that disgusting event unfold. No one wanted anything, we just wanted to leave. He stood there looking like a sad little baby instead of saying "Of course" or offering any drinks or who knows, anything else at all. He just cried like a little girl and expected us to pay for something NONE of us wanted. Eventually I had to just tell him that we were leaving and we weren't paying as no one wanted any of his disgusting garbage riddled food. I've never ever been made to feel guilty over refusing to eat F*CKING GARBAGE!!! This sad little man is a bad manager and a pathetic human being. If he would have done the right thing, which is comp the whole meal and offer drinks or desserts, he could have gotten a 20-30 dollar tip for being a decent human being. I go to Casa Ramos on a regular basis and this place is great. The staff is all friendly and works hard to make you feel welcome. The food is great and the drinks are as well. Most the time I go in the bar to meet friends and have dinner and a drink and it is always wonderful. It is convenient off and on the freeway for everyone if you are coming from out of town. I find the prices to be very reasonable for the food and drinks and the flavors wonderful. Casa Ramos is my favorite restaurant. The food is always delicious with large portions and friendly service. I definately recommend the fajita sampler which is char broiled chicken, steak, and shrimp cooked with peppers and onions and served with all the fixings. Food was absolutely delicious. Service in the bar however, left a lot to be desired. Had to ask a bus boy for the waters we ordered that the waitress didn't bring while she was leaning on the bar bs'ing with the bartender. Sad really. I am a die hard regular here. It's not the most authentic mexican food, but it is very tasty and I always leave satisfied. One evening my girlfriend and I came in for dinner and got the same waitor as before. My girlfriend ended up getting the same thing as last time and the waitor asked if I would like the same thing I had last time as well, which I did! I was very impressed considering the last time we were there was about a month prior to that. Overall, great service, great food amd a great atmosphere. This was my first time visiting Casa Ramos, and won't be going back. Had a party of 20, with reservations at 7pm on a Friday. Now, as a former waiter, I certainly expected it to be busy and take time for dinner, I know the drill. 7 of us got there early, get seated and asked what to drink. I prefer plain old water, don't need soda. Now you would have thought they would have prepped the table with waters prior to arrival, that's how I did it back in college, but they were not so that's my BIGGEST gripe of the visit. The server brings out 3 waters, mind u 10 minutes later and more people showed up; you could see her thinking "who do I give this to?" and as I expected, she passed me up, even though I was the only who asked for a water specifically. I will tell u, they NEVER brought out any water glass for me the whole time, someone gave me their water so all good, but rule#1, if someone asks for water when they sit down, get it right away as they may need to take medication B4 dinner(learned that the hard way in college). So ordered my gluten free adobo charbroiled chicken with rice and beans. Took usual time to get the first plates to table, so time was fine, but they only brought out 2/3 of the dinners. Rest of us waited 5 more minutes to get next round of foods, but still not everyone had their food. Another 5-6 minutes go by and last round finally comes out, but by that time, 1/2 the party was done with eating. You always bring the food orders at same time and if delay, you say something, which they didn't. Now I was the second round and was to get corn tortillas as a side, never got and the server even reminded himself twice. Now, the food was good, but by that time, had a sour taste in my mouth with the overall visit. Oh, forgot, two guests were given the wrong food. I understand parties of 20 can be overwhelming, but these issues could have been avoided with a more efficient staff. They were nice, don't get me wrong, but overall, not impressed! read more

HELP YELP!!! I will never go back there again as long as I live. I dare say that dinner there nearly cost me a trip to ER. After ordering a DOS AMIGOS on 4/14/14, burrito stuffed full of tainted beef that was just about enough! I had a very severe leg cramp in my right leg 5 hours after eating there and my stool had the most foul smell that made me gag. I could not even walk out of that place to my car. There is still an after taste in my mouth two weeks later of what I could only describe as ROTTEN TAINTED MEAT ! This really happened and I know no person who works there or the management. I am not bias. The help was polite and professional, you get plenty to eat. Plenty of botulism and/or tomain food poisoning! I have been irrigating my bowls with milk trying to get rid of that foul after taste for two weeks now. I have considered a law suite and fileing a formal complaint. My mother had a reservation at this restaurant for my brothers birthday. We sat down and it was 15 minuets before any server acknowledge our table. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Stopped here while staying in town for the weekend. We walked in and my husband noticed the old, musty smell right away. We did not know it was an Azteca until we got to our table where they got our drink order and brought out tasteless chips and terrible salsa. The salsa was very tomato paste like and bland. We asked the waitress about it and she said that small Carlos made it today instead of big Carlos and even the bus boys knew the salsa was "different". She recommended some picco salsa to mix in with it so we did that and made it better but not good. Service was slow but it seemed to be because it was a busy Sunday and they weren't staffed for it. My husbands beverage had something floating in it and when we asked for a new drink our waitress complied but after questioning it. By the time our food came out we were over the whole experience. My son's mac and cheese was reheated and looked terrible. I had the 3 taco meal which wasn't bad but not good, very bland and my husband had the macho burrito that by that point wasn't edible due to everything else we were seeing before the meal came. The waitress asked about our meals being that there wasn't much eaten and we told her and asked for the check. Near 10 minutes passed before we could get her attention to try again for the check. She talked to the manager and had my husbands meal taken off the ticket and then proceeded to tell us her job was to serve the food and not make sure it's quality. Being that we both have years of customer service and food service experience we know that is not correct. We will not be back but if you like terrible food in a stinky, dirty restaurant with flies you can help yourself. read more

I love the food here, that's why I gave it four stars. The staff is usually quite friendly, but always seems rushed. The restaurant atmosphere is typical for a Mexican restaurant, they do have a fountain that my son loves to throw coins in. We always stop here when we are traveling from Tacoma to Portland...about 2-3 times a month...the food is great, the service is fabulous. We stopped in on New Year's Eve without a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes despite the parking lot being full. Our waitress was fantastic. I whole-heartedly recommend the Camorones Monterrey and my husband loves the Carne Asada. If you have room for dessert which we rarely do...try the sopapias. It may be an Azteca, but it isn't like the others I have been to...the food and service is much better!!!! read more

I've been a Casa fan for over 10 years now and order the chicken fajitas almost every single time. Since this is "my dish" I order it at every mexican restaurant I go to (If I'm out of town - whatever) and I have never had a fajita dish quite like casa makes em. I honestly can't even explain what it is that I love so much.. but if you're a chicken fajita fan like me, look no further! Nothing else will ever compare.. And since I order the same dish every time, I can speak to their consistency. Definitely all home made, and it tastes the same every time - which I appreciate. Thanks Casa Ramos!
