Ok, let's start with the location, it's not at this address, it's at 458 Humboldt. The grand margarita was really good. Loved the extra touch of the gran mariner float! The food was just ok. We go to a lot of Mexican restaurants and felt this place was lacking. This place continues to be my dinner stop on every trip from central Oregon to Los Angeles a few times a year. The food is always great, great margarita and super friendly staff. The willows location just moved up the road, not quite the same ambiance but I totally understand why they would leave that huge building in the current horrible economy. Words of advice when looking to order a margarita from this restaurant....request ALAN to make them. I am a margarita person and I must say he did an amazing job! Not only that but he made them with my request tequila of Cabo Wabo. Not only did i have the blackberry margarita but I also had the cucumber jalapeño one also with Cabo Wabo. For dinner I had the Los Dos Burrito where the chile Colorado was on point and super tender. I recommend the Chile Colorado over the Chile verde just cause that my preference. But I did request an extra side of the red sauce cause I wanted it extra smothered. The place was cute and I was able to comfortably enjoy watching Monday night football and the World Series! We had a long day on the road and needed to just relax and enjoy a good Mexican dinner. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and seated in a comfortable & quiet booth. Our server Arlene, immediately came over and took our drink order. She's mastered the perfect balance of warm & friendly while always observing a professional decorum at all times. Our beverages came out promptly. We ordered the chicken enchilada plate and the chimichanga plate, which also came out promptly. Everything about the food was an 11 on a scale of 1-10. The service was equally excellent. All staff were very attentive that we enjoyed our meal. If you like a little more "action", they also have a fully stocked bar at the other end of the restaurant. What a great spot. On a road trip, staying near by and stopped for dinner. Servers were friendly, skinny margarita was yummy, beer was cold. The 2 choice combo with chicken chimichanga had very nice shredded chicken breast and shredded beef enchilada was flavorful. After traveling in the car for 9 hours with two pets, we were absolutely ready for a relaxing sit down Mexican dinner. Casa Ramos did not disappoint. Our server Alan was perhaps the friendliest server we've encountered without being overly hover-y. The entire staff was very welcoming to our dog, and they brought him a huge bowl of fresh water which was much appreciated in the warm weather. Quite possibly the worst Mexican food I've ever had in California. The mole chicken was as if it was created by someone who had never had Mexican food before. Syrupy, pale purple-brown, closer to teriyaki than mole. Seriously, take it off the menu if this is what you're going to serve. An embarrassment. Big portions of bad food. Cheerful but slow service. Starting from the outside of the restaurant, walking in, the landscape is upscale and gorgeous. The place is pretty big but we sat down at the bar for a meal. The margaritas are huge - a little on the sweet side but good. You can get in a few bicep curls just lifting the glass and getting a drink. I had the carnitas which is my quality assurance check on any Mexican restaurant. I can only say it might have been the most unusual carnitas I've ever had. The carnitas were served on a bed of onions with a scallion as a topping. I've never seen that in my life. I dug in with an open mind but the onion treatment didn't really work and I like onions. The carnitas had a weird gravy thing going on so while it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great. My wife had the chicken taquitos appetizer. Again, it was just okay. The taquitos needed a little more crisp, a tighter roll and more seasoning. The service was very good at the bar and again, the restaurant was very attractive inside. Perhaps with a few more tweaks, this restaurant could be the best in town. read more

Very good Mexican good, cold beer and margaritas, as well as friendly / attentive service. If you're looking for a sit down bite in willows I would reccomend. 1 year ago I visited Casa Ramos and had a pleasant experience, as stated in my first review. Sadly my second visit (1 year later) was pretty ordinary. The fishbowl margaritas are still good but the food fell well was short of the mark. I ordered the fajita salad; I envisaged a Mexican version of a Cobb salad but what I was served, tasted like teriyaki beef jerky over iceberg lettuce with a blue/gray hard boiled egg, it was very poor. Stopped in here for lunch on a Friday after checking into our motel room. We were seated immediately with menus to follow. Complimentary chips and salsa were decent. Our server wasn't as friendly as most but he got the job done. A few drinks went empty and we had to ask for refills. There weren't any complaints about the food. On par with your average Mexican cuisine. The rice was cooked fluffy and had a decent flavor. My slow cooked verde pork dish was good, meat was really tender. Prices were average. Another at our table ordered one of their burritos and it was huge. Overall, not a bad place to stop and grab a bite. Ask the server for recommendations depending on your appetite as some plates are small and others are likely way too big for one person unless you have a huge gas tank :) read more

Walked in for dinner couldn't find anybody to seat us and then when we did find them, we felt like we were bothering them. My wife had the chicken nachos and I had chicken street tacos. Both plates or bland to no taste at all! You would be better off going to Taco Bell and saving yourself $30 bucks. Take a look at the atrium room it appears there is a ton of dead flies on the window shades. I ordered take out and had to throw my food away when I got home because it had little to no chicken in my tacos and the shells were soggy and stale. I understand if I was late to pick up my food, and the food sat out, but I waited 10 minutes in the lobby for my food and it should have been fresh. also one of the tacos had about one bite of chicken in it, On top of that there was a big group in the back of the restaurant dining in, when the sign outside says "take out only because of Covid-19. Large venue. Great for groups. Have not been to too many places up here, but this could be one of the better places for food in town. Great HUGE margaritas. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter, Michael was very friendly and attentive.

They get pretty busy so it'll suck during those times. I was able to bring my service dog in given he had his papers and ID along with him otherwise they will have to sit at the outside patio. Food wasn't too bad, they have just grilled chicken you can order. I ordered that for my pup. salsa is a bit spicy, but good. You have to get the right waiter, or service will lag a bit.
