    Asada burrito

The food was very good, the taste was full of flavor and you can tell was authentic and made fresh. We highly recommend!

I left my remote coastal confines to travel to see my daughter for her birthday weekend. Being the good dad I said let's get some out food as she and her bf had long days. We chose Elenita's and as I entered [[HIGHLIGHT]]I noticed how family oriented it was, you get a warm and welcoming feeling and the staff was pleasant and professional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We chose asada and Al pastor street tacos. Both were great sized and full of flavor but the pork was the best I've had in a restaurant ever. I suggest you get out and try these guys for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Interiors are super clean with well spaced furniture.

I wish I had more time to explore the great spots along HWY 5, but I'm usually in the midst of a 5-6 hour drive each way so known options which are quick and easy and provide consistent quality win the day. And fast food is not an option. For 30 years our normal stopping point often becomes Williams. Several strong local options. BUT his time, on our southbound return from the River, the timing for Willows worked our lunch stop. With the help of Yelp we found Elenita's. Although a few blocks off the freeway we have it a try. BAM! It's so rewarding to get the "wholly schnickies" experience when you take a chance! Well, to be perfectly honest it wasn't much of a risk. Elenita's had a 4.5 star avg. with about 100 reviews. Tough to take that! My son had the carne-asada super burrito. Lite rice. For me, although it was lunchtime, I hadn't had breakfast yet so I went for a breakfast burrito lite rice and lite beans. I chose chorizo as my protein. Chorizo can be tricky if the rest isn't focused. I asked for "crispy" chorizo and they #nailedit! @elenitas food was authentic and fresh. The restaurant was clean. Super clean. And the tables were well spaced. Last, the owner was working the counter. Her smile was genuine when she talked about Willows being a small town and how they all shit down to watch youth sports on Saturdays. Take the time to visit. Call ahead and she'll have it waiting for you! 5-star!

    Voted best in Glenn County!

My all around favorite Mexican food. I love the food. Especially the carnitas and beans. The service is exemplary. Their customers matter to them. Prices are fair, food is delicious!

Chicken salad to go. Chicken was cooked perfectly- good flavor and crispy. No burn at all.

Food was decent and the service was fine. Some things were good, others were just average. Overall not bad, but not outstanding either.

Food was not authentic super salty. Waiter didn't ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything else.

I only had one taco here, and I realize that that's a small amount to base a Yelp review off of,…read morebut, it was a five star taco. I had a carne asada taco. It was $2.15 ($2 plus tax), and was exactly what you'd expect from a good street taco. I would have ordered more, but didn't see the small price list on the window until after I had ordered. (Their main sign didn't have any prices on it, which I always see as a red flag for getting overcharged.) The carne asada was perfect, and was served over two tiny corn tortillas (which were also quickly charred on the grill) topped with onion, cilantro, and a slice of lemon. They didn't give me any salsa, but I also didn't ask for any, and honestly, the meat with fresh lemon juice stood on its own. I would absolutely come back here again, and if it continues to be this good, it could become a regular experience. The only drawback was some teenagers sitting in front of the taco truck were having a *very* loud and sexually explicit conversation, to the degree that they should have been asked to leave, but were not. One of the teens yelled at the top of his lungs from about a foot behind me, "I LOVE BIG BLACK ROCKS!" Except, dear Yelp reader, I regret to inform you that the word he actually used only rhymed with the word "rock." You can guess what it is, and you're guessing correctly. I understand wanting to give teens a safe place to hang out, but not if they're going to make it unsafe/super uncomfortable for others. But that's just my opinion. Taco was fire though.

Place is fire. Get the birria tacos. You only need 3 of them. Great spot and seating is available…read moretoo.

Visited February 28 2026. See my receipt as always…read more I ordered the hobo omelete with a side of biscuits and gravy for breakfast.. HUGE portions! The omelete was overflowing with bacon and ham. The biscuits and gravy were tasty! I am only about 130 pounds so most of this was to go and share it with my boyfriend. They have a good menu with alot of specials. Casual and comfortable atmosphere! They also have beer and wine and other drinks. I wanted to get a banana creme pie to go but they were out of them. They also have a cute gift shop centering around bears. Sandra waited on me and she was delightful! Friendly and hard working staff! Bring your appetite because the portions are huge! Convenient off of highway 5 with plenty of parking. Definitely recommend!

I used to never give Black Bear much thought and never cane here, but a friend of mine said it was…read morereally good, so I'll give it a try. This location is in Willows, just off the 5 freeway and I'm always it seems driving this stretch of road, so here I am with one other friend. The inside looks generically familiar and clean. Service was fine and we're seated fine. I ordered this double classic burger with house salad. The bigger burgers with 6 oz or even a 14oz patty seemed a little too much at the time. This classic double had two 3 oz patties, sort of like a double double at In N Out and a bunch of fixins, like lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. The side salad was large and higher quality lettuce than most chain places. My friend ordered something pretty different, a Bacon Cheeseburger Salad! It's a big salad that has everything a bacon cheeseburger has, except the bun. It's not a lettuce wrapped burger, but a real salad with a chopped burger patty on top with a pile of cheese and bacon, served with whatever dressing you want. He actually like it a lot, despite it seeming kinda weird to me. Looked good though. I was more impressed with Black Bear Diner than I thought I was gonna be. I'll come back and maybe even try other locations.
