First time at Casa Real, we stopped in for lunch & it was delicious. The restaurant is typical Mexican design with soft music in the background, beautiful decor. There was 1 front end staff & he did a great job courteous & busy (not in a bad way) Food was out quickly & very flavorful. I had a single beef street taco meat was flavorful with plenty of onions/cilantro. Hubby had the chicken enchiladas without cheese with only beans, the chicken was moist & delicious the enchilada sauce was just spicy enough. When bringing out the food it smelled like a wet dog same as their drinks and when confronted about the drinks the waitress said it wasn't the cups it was the milk in their horchata even worse the food smelled the same way, however I did like their restaurant and bar setup but unfortunately me and my family won't be back. read more

Let me preface this with I'm not one to leave reviews, regardless of good or bad. Tried Casa Real tonight for Cinco de Mayo and omg we knew it would be busy, but this was next level. We got seated and literally sat there for 15 mins with no menus, no acknowledgment, nothing lol. We finally got up and grabbed menus ourselves. Server eventually came over for drinks, dropped chips/salsa with no waters (the salsa was honestly sooo good), brought drinks back... we handed him the menus thinking we were ordering... and he just walked away Another 20 mins later we had to ask if we could actually order food. We ordered the trio guac appetizer and he even asked if we wanted it before the food. We said yes. AN HOUR later... still no guac We asked THREE times and kept hearing "it's almost done." Sir it's guacamole, not a home renovation project. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables who came in after us get food, eat, pay, and leave before we even got our appetizer. That's when I asked for the manager because there's no reason it should take 1hr+ for chips and smashed avocado lol. Manager apologized, but honestly there were more excuses than accountability. He stated it's been busy and the kitchen got orders mixed up, but we were right by the kitchen the whole time and never saw anything come back or any confusion. We finally got food 1 hour and 35 mins after sitting down ‍ I swear I've never spent that long waiting for just an app + dinner in my life, even on holidays. Food was super hit or miss: * rice was really good * beans tasted good but tiny portion * soft taco tortillas were AMAZING but the "shredded" chicken was giant chunks so the taco fell apart every bite * crunchy taco shell, was rough... honestly Ortega taco kits at home would've been better, and that's not exactly high praise My bf ordered the Tour of Mexico which didn't come with rice and beans but probably should have. The chile relleno and tamale were really good though. Taquito was dry af, enchilada needed sauce BAD, and the plate was swimming in sour cream / crema. My strawberry margarita tasted like they forgot tequila entirely second margarita was slightly better, only bc its was one of the "specials" Then after the manager said "I'll take care of it," they only took 15% off ‍ which honestly felt insulting after almost 2 hours, forgotten food, zero communication, and nonexistent attentiveness. At that point, most people probably would've gotten up and walked out, and honestly we should have too. What was most frustrating was there was no real effort to make the situation right. No checking on us, no updates, no urgency, nothing. Once they knew we were unhappy, our server basically avoided us the rest of the night. We received our check and literally had our card sitting there forever while he walked past us multiple times. I finally handed it to another server just so we could pay and leave. Atmosphere and cleanliness were honestly great. Service was a disaster though. Overall like 2/5. read more

My boyfriend and I went to eat there last night and walked out with a full belly and big smiles. The place is beautifully decorated, the have a bar and also have at least 7+TVs playing various sports event. The music isn't too loud, and you are able to have a comfortable conversation without having to yell across the table. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas, and they were delicious, and the serving size definitely left me full. My boyfriend opted for the Camarones Casa Real, which had a different spin than other seafood places, but overall pleasantly surprised, and he would definitely have those again. The wait staff was super friendly and charismatic. Our server was Jazmin she was observant and refilled our drinks without us having to ask and always made sure we were ok. We also had 2 shots, "Mexican Candy" and "Scooby snack" both were delicious, and the taste of alcohol wasn't too overpowering, but it definitely put you in high spirits Lastly, their Cheesecake Burrito and Flan were both heavenly. First, if you're a Real Mexican place, you should not serve bag chips and tomato sauce disguised as salsa. The rice tasted like it came out of a box--just bland. I guess you could say the margaritas were just OK--nothing to write home about, nor very strong. The beer was beer, except the glass was empty for way too long, with only three people sitting in the dining room. The chicken is definitely boiled or frozen and reheated. The chicken has that look like it will be amazing then it disapoints because it is so dry and stringy. read more

The location is easy to find. The decor is really nice. Nice big TVs. The service was average. Not bad, not exceptional. The cocktail wasn't very strong. The beans were cold and a weird offputting color and texture. The beans, along with the rice, lacked any flavor. The chimichanga was small, but the cheese sauce was really really good. The water was disgusting, like worse than tap water from my kitchen. They need to change their water filter or water supply lines. Came across Casa Real and gave it ago. Started off with the camarones casa real. They were ok. Definitely over cooked and the sauce was over powering. Couldn't get passed the over cooked part. We came in hungry and the chips n salsa were amazing. Half our body weight in chips later we were eating some bomb tacos. I forget which I went with but they're pictured here and were hearty and delicious. Their aim is to definitely fill you up before you leave. The restaurant's interior was super vibey. Very decorative, ample dim lighting, fixtures were cool. Definitely felt as if we stepped into somewhere special w a hat tip to some authentic heritage. Last but not least, our server was amazing! Not really impressed with the food here. I liked the pork but it was overcooked for most people, but that's how I prefer it. We got the tour of Mexico and it kinda fell flat for us. The tamale was super dry and the enchilada was just a folded shell with sauce on it. Not much to it and not much flavor. The guacamole was unique with crab meat. Didn't add much flavor but didn't ruin it either. The queso was a really nice portion size and a great add on to use on pretty much everything. lol. The service was good and the sweet tea tasted fresh. We loved how it was decorated. So many cool pieces of art around. Definitely the highlight. We may try this again if we're in the area. read more

Wow all I can say is wow !!! If you've read my last post from trying a new mexican restaurant I got disappointed and disappointed badly. Casa Real is right near where I charge my car at the intersection of Craig and Tenaya. I was charging one evening and decided to have dinner. I asked them if I could still be seated at 930pm even though they close at 10 and it was no issue. I was seated immediately and given some time to go through the menu. The brought some chips and salsa and I added a side of beans for some bean dip. The menu seemed to have something for everyone and everything sounded great. I ordered a margarita and a side of esquite to start. We then also ordered one chicken fajita and one Hawaiian chicken fajita. The margarita was delicious , and the combination of bacon and pineapple in fajitas was a combination I didn't know I needed in life but now I don't want it any other way !!! The esquites was HEAVILY flavored with lime ...... like HEAVY HEAVY ...... I loveeeee lime so this wasn't an issue for me but I believe to the average person it would've been way over powering. Ultimately the staff was attentive , the food and portions were great , the margarita was delicious ..... everything you could want in place to eat !!! I will definitely be back. read more

Remember the old saying,"We try harder"? Casa Real not only tries harder but exceeds all expectations. This is my new bar in Mexican food. We started with guacamole as an appetizer, but the appetizer offered a twist: toppings on the guacamole ... Brilliant! They offer toppings of cheese, tuna, or crab. We opted for the crab. Let's just say crab and guacamole go together like chocolate and peanut butter...Amazingly delicious. The shrimp with the head-on is not only authentic but also adds flavor to the shrimp and the sauce, as well. The sauce was a bit spicy but offered well-balanced flavors that complimented the shrimp. A large scoop of white rice soaked up the remaining savory sauce to enjoy every last drop. The carnitas dinner was served with rice, beans, three tortillas, a tomatillo sauce, a large portion of pico de galo (in the middle), and a huge portion of carnitas. Now, I'm a big eater, but there was no way I could have finished all of that food. Can you say, "Take home container, please"? The rice and beans were flavorful as well as the salsa. The carnitas meat was tender, juicy, and layered with flavor; just as carnitas is supposed to be. I look forward to my next visit and trying other intriguing items on their menu. read more

The pollo loco lunch dish was excellent along with the enchilada lunch plate. I meant to order a single asada taco, but they mistakenly thought I wanted a taco lunch plate. These were also great. Thought we would try this place as we where in the neighborhood and didn't want to eat at a casino. Probably should have eaten at the casino. First, the place is clean and the catrinas where awesome. Really liked them. The issue, the food was not what we would have expected for the price. We ordered the molcajete as we have had them in the past at other places. The meat was overcooked and salty. The green sauce and cheese reduced to a clumpy mess, we have typically had a red tomato based sauce with slices of cheese. The chorizo wasn't chorizo it was summer sausage grilled and sliced at one end, looked like a hotdog octopus made for a kid. A very small cozy place and we loved our margarita which was called Texas something it was so good. But the dinner was terrible. We each ordered tacos and it was literally a tortilla with some meat thrown in it and that is it. I ate one cause we were so hungry. The rice and beans were just barely OK. Nothing was warm we had to ask her to go reheat it. But anyway, not a good dinner won't be going back but if you're just looking for a place to have a drink, they have a nice bar and try the Texas margarita it was very good. read more

My man and I were out in search of good Mexican food. We were headed to East Las Vegas when we saw that this restaurant had popped up next to our local Albertsons. We couldn't wait to try Casa Real. The server we had was not attentive and very slow. We basically had to beg for water and refills. The blended margaritas with 2 flavors looked nothing like what was on the menu and tasted like there wasn't any tequila in it. The entire drink was just a glass of foam. I ordered a chicken dish, and the plate came out with queso cheese ladled all over the top. That's all I could taste. It tasted like a saturated fat glob of stuff. I picked out the three pieces of chicken but couldn't eat the rest of it. A HUGE disappointment. We will NOT be returning. read more
