Casa Romero is the best Mexican restaurant in this area. They take the time to prepare the food right instead of trying to get it out as fast as possible. The food is fantastic; much better than they typical small-town Mex you might expect. Enchilada combination was especially nice. Margaritas are big and tasty but not strong. Service is pitiful, though. Not enough waiters, and the ones working were disinterested. We asked all three working for the Wi-fi password, each of them said they would find out, but no one ever did. Been here several times in the past, but last night took it to another level of bad service and bad ownership. Took my wife there for a birthday meal....10 minute wait so got a buzzer. After 30+ minute wait we went to the counter to inquire. Hostess checked and said our buzzer number was crossed off the list already and they had already seated 5-6 tables ahead of us due to this error. We were told by the manager, who also turned out to be the owner, that we would simply have to wait another 15-20 minutes. Not an apology, admittance of a mistake....nothing...pretty much wasn't concerned about it at all and we were an after-thought. Asked how they would make it right (most places will offer a free beverage, or at least an apology, etc)...we were rudely given a glare by the manager/owner and were told that "someone will be getting up and leaving soon....just wait." WOW!!!! That's the owner/manager and that's how customers are treated!!! Normally would have left but we were starving and stayed. It didn't get any better.. Finally got seated and orders taken. Waitress brought our food and never came back once to ask if everything was ok, need anything else, how the food was, etc....never saw her again. Had to go to counter to get my own leftover boxes, and then again to get our bill to pay, since that was not brought to us either by our absentee server. Overall experience was absolutely horrible and we won't be giving another penny to this owner! A simple apology and acting like he cared even a tiny bit would have went a long way, but that was WAY too much to ask from this guy. read more

Just can't give a good review, even though the manager is very nice. Both times we tried the food there was a bad experience. Chicken was raw the first time, they tried to make it right so we thought we'd give them another chance, our second try they brought us food that we didn't even order. OMG the food here is soooo good and super cheap. Every time I'm home I'm sure to stop by. My husband and I are vegetarians and they even have options (though you want to make sure to specify that you don't want ANY meat). It can get really crowded on weekends though , especially around dinner so make sure to plan ahead. read more
