    sad chile poblano

2 stars because the server was so kind. Do not come here if you like authentic mexican food my husband ordered pozolé and it was gray liquid and full of pata. It tasted very perfumey and nothing like pozolé. We have gone to maybe 10 restaurants in the Valley that sell pozolé never tasted anything like this. We asked to change it for chiles rellenos and they gave us a tiny chile poblano and the server apologized about the pozolé and admitted to us that the lady in the back making the pozolé messed up the taste.

Worst service ever. This was my second visit, and I decided to give the place another chance after being disappointed the first time. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. It took 18 minutes just to get a glass of water, and when my fish arrived, it was extremely salty. I politely told the server, but she didn't apologize or offer to fix it. I wasn't asking for a discount, but some acknowledgment or effort to make it right would've gone a long way. I definitely won't be coming back.

The food here is authentic Mexican food. We came from Ca. The service was amazing the owner herself served us and was very friendly. The margaritas are delicious and don't pass out on the $5 margaritas all day everyday. You have to come if you want authentic Mexican food. Did I mention they have homemade tortillas.

We dropped our dog off at the groomer near this place and we were hungry for lunch. I found this place on yelp of course going based off reviews. Walking inside, the decor is awesome, there were only 2 servers and we were also the only 2 people in there which scared me at first not going to lie. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 2 quesabirria tacos (traditionally made with goat) which were not too bad. The carne asada tacos were the best item i tried there. My wife got carne asada plate with bean and rice. What was weird though was there was literally, what we thought was the basic lettuce on a mexican dish, turns out its a salad with italian dressing so yeah think of that how you want it lol. The chips and salsa at the start wasnt all too great either, bland and no spice. The chips tasted like cardboard or was around a lot of boxes and what not. Who knows if ill end up trying here again, maybe give it another go next time we bring our dog to get groomed nearby.

I love the decor. Reminds me of a Mexican restaurant in San Diego in Old Town. Service was slow. I ordered 2 street tacos and side mexican rice. The tacos were yummy, but the rice was yucky. I enjoyed the chips and salsa. Note- if you want more chips, it is $1.50. Cute restaurant, and I'll be back.

Este lugar es bastante rico! Just about the right place to bring friends and family and have some authentic Mexican Food... not only that but also feel like you are in the heart of a true Mexican Cocina. The decor is amazing, give you lots to look at. The service is pleasant and attentive. The enchiladas are really good! and they're drink are awesome! Check out the bar they have! Definitely will continue to bring friends and fam here.. One thing I'll give the restaurant a tip on: I noticed that the plates are super hot when they are served, of course in order to keep the food warm as much as possible, make sure that it is pointed out while serving it, mom noticed a little too late.

Went today, had Huevos Rancheros for $13 s0mething. Chips and Salsa were very small portioned, came so small that I ordered it again and got charged $2.00 for it :-( My entire check came to over $ 17 For that money you can eat better at Lindo Michoacan on Desert Inn with better ,unlimited Chips and two sorts of Salsa, all freshly made. The Huevos Rancheros wasn't t anything special Overpriced !- stay away !

I ordered the food on uber eats, they messed up my sons order , but then I started eating the pozole when I see mold in the meat

Carne en Su Jugo is served with handmade tortillas and is yummy!

A word of warning, despite offering street tacos, this isn't really "fast" food, I stood in line for nearly an hour at lunchtime on a Friday. If you are alone, Get in the line that matches most of what you w nt. Better still if you are not alone is the divide and conquer system, each person getting in line for a meat you want. You do NOT pay at the counter instead weaving your way back toward the register where you pay.

I absolutely LOVED La Vecindad and highly recommend checking it out when you're in Las Vegas!…read more We did have to wait about 45 minutes to be seated, which wasn't the most enjoyable because it was so hot outside. We ended up waiting in our cars with the AC on. But I have to say--the wait was completely worth it! The moment you walk inside, the atmosphere is so much fun. The restaurant is busy and lively, with great music, colorful decorations, and so many details inspired by El Chavo del Ocho. I grew up watching the show, so being here brought back so many childhood memories. There are paintings and decorations from the show everywhere--even the bathroom is decorated! Our family was seated in the Escuelita room, and we had an absolute blast. The waiters and staff are even dressed as characters from the show, and they play music from El Chavo del Ocho. It really feels like you've stepped into La Vecindad! Despite how busy the restaurant was, the customer service was great. Our waiter was friendly, patient, helpful, and gave us some excellent food recommendations. And the FOOD! Everything we tried was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The café de olla was amazing--not overly sweet and just perfect. The molcajete was delicious and HUGE; it is definitely large enough for two people to share. We also tried the carnitas plate and carne asada plate, and I highly recommend both. The portions are very generous, so come hungry! I attached a few photos of the restaurant and our food because there is so much to see and enjoy here. Overall, we had such a great experience. Friendly and fun staff, delicious food, great music, large portions, and an amazing nostalgic atmosphere. If you grew up watching El Chavo del Ocho, you'll appreciate this place even more. Highly recommend La Vecindad! We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back!
