The server was really kind and helpful! I ordered a cazuela de camarón it was a 10/10! Was a tab bit spicy but I LOVED it! Was seated super quick and received our food super quick as well, the wide windows were very welcoming and the bright colors of the restaurant are great! Absolutely worth the visit. I have found that some of these two star ratings are not always accurate for me. This spot was typical in decore and menu. The service was quick and sweet. The ladies were amazing at accommodating our party. We had a vegetarian in our group and she is picky. She loved her crunchy potato tacos. They come in a sauce so if you want them dry ask for the sauce to be on the side. I am allergic to shellfish so my choices are typically limited but this spot got their salsa verde enchiladas right. That sauce was so delicious, not spicy and full of flavor. My review is not based on the mariscos but on the dishes. Their breaded fish fillet was also very tasty. read more

The place was just not it. Food was slow, it took forever to get our check, and we had to send the mojarra back. It had a foul taste and smell. The cherry on top was the off/broken A/C. My family & I discovered this place about 5 years ago. It is about 2 minutes from our house and we would go there often but I would say about a year after we started going there, The service really started going down, so we stopped going. We went on Sunday at about 7:00 pm and they were closed. The Open light was off but Google says they were open until 8:00. We decided to go again last night. As soon as we walked in I noticed a sign that said "Cash Only." So we walked out, went to get cash, and returned since we were really determined to give the place another shot after so long. From the moment the lady with the blond curly hair Ampelia took our drink orders up until when we walked out, our experience was absolutely TERRIBLE! She rarely came to check on us & when she did it was when we were about done eating. They were out of Aguas Frescas, They had no lemonade or juices for kids, and the flavor of the shrimp cocktail was very bland. They used to be so good before. When she brought our bill, I noticed the 2 Coke cans we ordered were $3.99 EACH! At first I thought she charged us for the glass bottles but my husband told me those are listed at $5.99 on the menu! I needed to use the restroom before heading out and as I was washing my hands, they flipped the lights off and I was left in the dark! I felt like they rushed us out! As soon as we paid, she opened the door for us to leave and we had not taken off yet when we saw her and the cooks getting into their cars. It was only about 7:20-7:30. We love this place! My husband and I have been here before so we decided to have a small celebration of about 50 people and their service was amazing. Everyone loved the food. We had vegetarians, people with allergies to shell fish, people that love sea food. We had it all in our group and they were able to accommodate everyone and everything taste amazing. Understand it's a slow day (Wednesday) but tried getting the server's attention a couple of times and literally took us 15 min to get the check. The food was not great, my mom stated when she went a couple of years back food was yummy. Perhaps change of chef or cooks but her birthday celebration was not spectacular. Also, they imposed a 3% fee using credit card which I was not aware of, they could have done better to inform because if there was a sign it was missed with so many posted. We were shocked to see that our total was $140 for four people and upon a closer look at the receipt they went ahead and added an automatic 18% tip.. we were a party of four and Nowhere is it stated that they will be adding an automatic tip. When we question this, the lady that made the receipt told us that on the weekends they add and automatic tip when it's a party of four of more. The service absolutely sucked and should have not been no where near 18%. She told us that she would remove it and we went ahead and left a cash tip at the table. 9/6/2017 I was in the mood to try some Mexican Food and saw that Mariscos El Mariachi #2 on 1725 N. Nellis Blvd had opened recently and I thought I'd give them a try. I entered and stood near the counter for several minutes and there was no one around. I could see one table of 5 people eating in the dinning area and waited some more thinking a server would see me while waiting on the their table but after a couple of more minutes of not seeing anyone, I seated myself and thought I'd get the attention of a server. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and had been recently painted. After several more minutes the table of people had finished their meal and got up and left and still no employee was to be seen. I was the only person left in the dinning area. After a few more minutes, I got up and proceeded to leave. Still, no one had showed up to clear their table or noticed that I was in the restaurant. Upon leaving, a young man was sitting at the register stared at me as I proceeded to leave. I said, I've been waiting to be served and no one ever showed up in the dinning area. The guy said, I guess I wasn't here when you arrived and didn't know you were in the dinning area. I said, I guess you wouldn't know that unless you checked to see if anyone entered while you were gone. I said I thought a server would attend to the people eating while they were here but no one ever checked on them and if this is what your service is like, I don't think I would want to eat here any way. I have no idea if there food is good, I left and I doubt if I'll return. I hope if you give this place a try, the service is better than what I experienced, and I hope the food is to your liking. read more

It's nicer than the original. Newer and cleaner. Nicer layout. The music is not blaring loud like the original. No bar though. The food so far is consistent. It's good. You can tell that the recipes are the same. Service here is worse than the original location. Two waitresses and but a half dozen guests. No follow up. Had to wait to be acknowledged at the door. Had to wait for water till after my meal was over. Was waiting while one of the waitresses was being courted by some friend of hers. I know their service at the original location is sub par. This one being worse. I still like the food and will visit every once on a while. Might avoid this location. read more
