First coming in with my son. The food was not worth it. I order a Coctel grande de Camaron con ostiones I got more shrimp broth than actual shrimp and 3 oysters. Wow, everything I tasted was delicious. As soon as we walked in we got seated. There was live music playing next to our table we sat at. We ordered a few plates and some didn't make it to my camera roll. We ordered some scallops that were in a spicy lime sauce that was spicy but also very tasty. The aguachile was also great. The shrimp and scallops were very fresh. We ordered a dozen of oysters that were also very fresh. Definitely recommend to try the oyster shooters as well. Our server also recommended the spicy prawn. The tostadas are pretty big. My favorite is la pecosita and it comes with fish ceviche, shrimp, octopus, onion tomatoes and avocado. They add a habanero sauce that is pretty spicy. The service is great, the waiter is very friendly, I always chat with him. Somedays you will find mariachi or Banda playing. Other nights it's just music. read more

Big portions! My eyes we're hungrier than my stomach. I definitely could not finish everything but the food was fantastic! We had a tropical ceviche and oysters to start and that alone could have been a meal but then we ordered the Baja fish tacos and the Camarones Al Diablo and they were so flavorful. The food is authentic Mexican, and was very good. Two-Part Review: Pt. 1 Covid-19 Compliance. Pt. 2 Food & Service If you have concerns about the current Pandemic, then this is probably not a great choice for a dine-out experience. PANDEMIC: With no reservations, customers are asked to crowd into a very small 6' X 6' entryway as they wait for a table - which for us, took about 40 minutes (mainly because like all restaurants, they are seating only half of the tables). While we waited, we saw wait staff removing masks to speak to clients at tables (which also means that gloved hands were touching the mask and then touching menus, etc - totally defeating the purpose of the mask and gloves). Tables and menus were wiped down in between seatings as per usual, but were not being fully sanitized. Tabletop collections of hot sauces and condiments were not being cleaned at all. I only bring this up in the interest of making informed choices. My partner and I decided to stay and eat, anyway. The food was good. BEER: TWO-FOR-ONE FROM 6 - 8 PM on Friday!! Whether you're drinking a bottle, a bucket, or a tasty michelada, you'll get a great deal during this happy hour. However, this does mean that folks tend to linger for a while. We saw a table of two guys who each had a bucket (six) in front of them - so turnaround is not quick here. Sadly, there is no hard liquor license, so you'll have to get your margarita somewhere else. FOOD: The guacamole appetizer was large, fresh, and delicious - with just a hint of jalapeño for fun. Easily a meal for two, or a generous app for the table. Highly recommended. Since we both got shrimp dishes, a note on the shrimp here: It is not de-veined, and not fully peeled, so there is a bit of soft-crunchy shell remaining. While this is the traditional way of serving shrimp in many cultures, and is generally more flavorful - this may be surprising to those who are used to a fully-shelled, European-style preparation. If shrimp "veins" gross you out, order something else. My Tacos Goberandor were very good - Three large tacos, with lots of cheese, veggies, and shrimp. I would definitely order it again. My partner got the shrimp in a tamarind sauce (can't remember what it was called - check out my photos). It was fine, but not great. The sauce was very syrupy sweet, and the shrimp seemed overcooked. Very much a locals place with very little English being spoken (which I generally take as a good sign). But All-in-all, a very average experience. This wouldn't be my first choice for Mexican seafood in the future. read more

Apparently this is the spot on a Sunday night. Restaurant was very busy. They had a live Banda as well. But the way the speaker was set up was horrible and it was way too loud for such small venue. Just beware, you might lose your voice from screaming to the person next to you. Service was good despite the fact that they were very busy, and us being such a large group. For food, I went with the "Camarones a la Diabla"... um never again. The sauce was way too sweet and it tasted like a spicy ketchup concoction. It was served with rice and beans and your choice of either corn or flour tortillas. My boyfriend had the "Garlic Shrimp" and they were okay. The garlic was not fresh and tasted very artificial. The outside looks as if the restaurant is closed so we were a little skeptical until we saw someone go in. I came with a group of people on a Friday. We had done some drinking the night before. I ordered a michelada. It was a bit temperature hot so i had to order a cup of ice to put some in. They had salsa and tostadas as starters. The salsa was very good especially if you add lemon. For my entree i ordered " El ceviche de camaron casero" which is basically ceviche de agua chiles. This was so good and the plate was really big. I shared it with everyone. I also had some of my bf's regular shrimp ceviche. This was also really good. A person we were with shared one of his shrimp empenada. this was really good and the sauce it came with was really spicy but delicious. The service here was also really great. The waitress was really nice and attentive. She kept coming around to ask if we were doing ok. She did a really great job considering our party consisted of about 15 people. The food was delicious. I would have given 5 stars but the experience wasn't that great. Our seat was so crammed we could barely move. The live band they have on Sundays is so incredibly loud. Unable to even have a conversation whatsoever. But The worst part was no AC. Not sure if it was just broken the day I went or if they keep it like this. I was drenched in sweat and it ruined my appetite so I didn't eat much. It was 102° outside and it actually felt good to walk outside after being in there. I will definitely return though for the food. I just won't go until it cools down and I won't go on a Sunday. read more

This place serves delicious tostadas. I like that I have the choice of my shrimp cooked in lime juice or boiled. The octopus is cooked to perfection, not overly done. I like Jamaica to drink or a michelada. The fish empanadas are amazing but come out HOT so be careful. I like the decor here. It's all themed after a place in Mexico named Tepic. The actual beaches are pictured on the walls which makes it feel authentic. The brightly colored chairs are my favorite. They have a few TVs and Latin music playing I think the service is ok. People come around trying to sell you movies or a sing you a song for $10. It can be uncomfortable to say no but they aren't pushy. Some of them sing really well and i like hearing what they can do.
