Dim sum 2025 review Promo currently is -spend $50 get a free medium dish, -spend $100 get a free large dish. -Cash only(not debit) gives you another 10% off Very upscale looking and plenty of seating. Good service, lots of plates and table settings. Although there isn't any early bird deals for dim sum, the dishes are all very good quality and prices is still reasonable. My friend ordered the "po -lay" tea which is part of the pu'er tea, was good and complimented our lunch. It's a softer black tea that was easy to drink and not as bitter as oolong. They also offer a pot of hot water to dilute or refresh your tea pot. Most dishes were typical good dim sum standards, one dish I haven't seen before is the pan fried radish but wrapped in a sticky rice coated with sesame seeds. This brought an interesting harmony of texture and flavours, sweet and salty yet savoury. It was easy to enjoy and I would recommend trying this on your next visit. Our table's bill for three people came to $70, tip was not automatically added unlike most places these days. But cash only! Parking is ok being in a large plaza shared with NoFrills. I would come back here again, especially if you have company that likes attention to detail. Note: this was a warmer September so they left their ac running inside. It felt very cold like a fridge and most seniors and ladies kept jackets on due to that. You can't make everyone happy with the thermostat so come prepared!

So many people on a Tuesday afternoon!

THEY HAVE FLIES. And they're very persistent!! Every time we are here, doesn't matter what table, flies gather near our dishes. The tea has stronger taste now, and the food is a little better, I'd say second to Golden Palace. The rude host in my original post has been gone for years. Everyone is very nice and positive, and they allowed us to change tables. It's still very loud in here lol but they're quick with their service or clearing plates. Decor still fancy. They do have chipped chopstick/spoon holders, and my cup was chipped. However, one of the waitresses saw and changed it it for me unprompted. Oversll impressed!

Came here to celebrate Mother's Day with my big family of 40ppl. My cousin had made reservations a week before and we were good, but when we arrived at the restaurant, we had to wait for each table (we booked 4 tables, close by to each other). Each wait per table was about 10-20mins. They have most of your typical dimsum dishes, their dimsum menu isn't as extensive as most places. Dimsum came out at a decent time, most items were hot and delicious, some were cold. The place looks smaller than what I remember when I was here for my sister's wedding more than 10 years ago. The waitresses/hostess seemed a little stressed and overwhelmed considering how busy it was when everyone was out celebrating Mother's Day. Dimsum here is a tad bit pricier compared to other places, but there is a 10% discount if you pay cash.

Casa Victoria serves up some great, authentic dim sum, but be ready for crowds (especially lunch/weekends). Tip: less crowd after 2:00pm. I'm talking flavorful stuff! Don't miss the baked BBQ pork puff with almond, steamed pork dumpling with fish roe, and roast duck with noodles. The space is comfortable - cozy seating, good light, and high ceilings. Prices are reasonable. If you don't mind the wait, it's worth checking out.

This is where you want to be if you want authentic Chinese food. The restaurant looks like a fancy banquet; as a matter of fact, it is part of the banquet. Service was good, but in some cases, we were lost in translation We tried many dishes, flavors were good, the Prime rib was amazing see pics

Dim sum craving hit hard! Thought of going back to Casa Imperial but learned that they have a sister location, Casa Victoria. So, here we were with high hopes! Casa Victoria did not disappoint. We had: #1. Mushrooms and vegetables dumpling #2. Sticky Rice With Conpoy Chicken In Lotus Leaf Parcel #3. Bean Curd Roll With Shrimp Pork In Abalone Sauce #4. Pan Fried Short Ribs With Maggie Lemon Honey Sauce #5.Pan Fried Shrimp Chives Dumplings #6.Deep Fried Golden Taro Dumpling #7. Shrimp Red Rice Noodle Roll #8. Stir Fried Silver Needle Noodles With Xo Sauce #9.Stir Fried jumbo Shrimp rice with egg white sauce #10. Stuffed Tofu With Shrimp Paste Except for #1., which was quite average, all the others were above average, each had its unique twist and creativity. Tasted multidimensional, the flavors were not repetitive. #5 had a slight peanut flavor - delicious. I wished it had the surface crispier, but the taste balance felt perfect for me. #7 had amazing textures, with plumpy and juicy shrimp in the center, which is stuffed in crispy fried donut, which was wrapped in soft and chewy rice roll. Loved #8, silver needle noodles. First time to try this noodle...impressive! Bouncy and chewy, coated by Xo Sauce with rich dried shrimp flavor. The seasoning was just right amount to enjoy the noodle itself. #9's shrimps were huge and generous, crispy and juicy! Perfectly seasoned rice was covered by fluffy egg white sauce. Impressive! I also recommend #3. Best steamed bean curd ever. Abalone Sauce coated the bean curd wrinkles and permeated the juicy shrimp and pork staffing. Juicy and hot even after 30mins of arriving at the table. Enjoyed every bite of it. #6's seasoning was perfect. Not too sweet, which is my preference. Will come back again! 100%!

Good food overall. Their pork Cha Sui was delicious. Their chicken with rice inside was unique and different, but wasn't for me. Soup with fish was quite tasty and their greens were a bit on the older tasting side (not as fresh. Great aura and staff here.

What a wonderful treat to visit Casa Victoria again!!! With the heavy snow storm, the staff still provided good service. The food here is warm and no MSG! It feels like dining in Asia with the decor inside. So glad they we were able to dine here.

The dumplings are huge in person.

First time eating dim sum in Canada. It's super crowded here on the weekends but the food came out relatively fast. The portion size for the dumplings are huge compared to what I'm used to in the USA. No complaints. Solid dim sum that'll definitely hit the spot if this is what you're craving for. If you go on the weekend, I'd suggest going right when they open.

The dim sum dishes were very creative. Flavor were good. The shrimp dumpling however was average. The abalone was pretty good.

Solid dim sum place - we got various dishes but some of my favorites were the savory dumplings (which were cutely shaped like carrots), the mango pudding, and the shrimp dumplings (which were 2-3 times larger than any I've ever had at other dim sum places). The restaurant is clean, although service can be kind of hit-or-miss, as it's quite busy on the weekends.

The food is amazing. Saw a recommendation on fb. The place is bright, clean and busy. We arrived around 10:20 without a reservation and was lucky there was a table available. They open at 10 and it was bustling already. There was only 4 of us. Reservations is highly recommended if you have a large party. Some tables were given bowls to rinse off their dishes. We didn't get one so they must have known we were tourists. I guess we could have asked for it. The staff all had different roles. Some delivered the dishes, another may refill the tea pot. The size of the dim sum pieces were huge. Not like anything we've seen before. Everything we tried was flavorful and delicious. We will definitely be back when we come back to visit. We'd like to try it for dinner.

It's going to cost you likely over $1k for a table of 10 but it's definitely a meal you'll remember. We got steak, lobster and crab, roast pork, soup, fish and rice and noodles. Everything tasted great. The crab was a little overcooked as the meat stuck to the shell and the steak was a bit under and more rare than medium rare but everything was delicious. This location is much more modern and nicer than their original location in Scarborough. Didn't realize you get a discount if you come on your birthday for the whole table. They were nice enough to apply for us after we paid and saw the signage outside.

The location on Unionville Main Street is also a big plus, and they have a really nice patio that would be perfect for dining outside when the weather is nice. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the mussels and octopus, and both were excellent. I especially love the charred flavour in the octopus. And the baguettes that came with the mussels are so addicting as well. Love the little kick in the broth! For our mains, we ordered the striploin and seafood risotto. The striploin was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, while the seafood risotto was creamy and packed with seafood. Our server was attentive, friendly, and very helpful with his recommendations. He gave us his honest opinion when we were deciding between the tenderloin and striploin. We ended up choosing to try more dishes instead of spending $185 on the bone-in tenderloin in the end. You'll need reservations here for sure and best to reserve a table not the day before otherwise they'll have bar tops available. They have a second floor for a more private dining which is nice for small groups or couples, the washrooms are downstairs, floors are slippery - be careful! When we got there we got to choose between the alcohol side or kitchen bar, we chose the alcohol bar side since the bartender Jasmine greeted me immediately and complimented my outfit. This is a pricey place, more a high end kind of restaurant so if you're looking for a cheaper place, don't go here obviously. Food was pretty decent with what we ordered. The only that didn't stand out whatsoever was the salmon. I've been to many high end restaurants and in other countries so salmon isn't much of a hit typically. They sold out of the bass fillet and the mussels (specials for the night/week - forgot what Jasmine said) so if you want to try these, order asap! Drinks were great! I asked for a Caesar as my second/third drink and wanted a specific amount of spice, Jasmine just came with the tabasco and put the amount I wanted, thank goodness! I feel like we definitely got the best service sitting by the drinks bar with Jasmine just genuinely kind and chatting with us. We had a great time and will definitely be coming here again.

The highlight for me was probably the set of four starter appetizers, they were flavourful, delicately prepared and perfect way to start the meal. I liked the slightly pickled dish with cucumbers the best. We also had sushi prepared with fresh seafood. The rice was probably my favorite compared to other places I've been. It was perfectly seasoned rice, warm and cooked to have just the right texture, not overcooked and not undercooked. The rice held up well when picked up by hand and complemented the flavours of the fish. Finished the meal with a matcha flavored pudding flan type dessert which had deep matcha flavours. If you're a fan of matcha, you'd probably enjoy it too. All in all, the meal was enjoyable, the torched tuna sushi was probably my favorite sushi of the set and my least favorite was the egg/eel, I was expecting a sweet egg at the end so it unexpected.

The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. It meets different people's needs by offering both cooked and raw food options, and the sushi set definitely has great value for money.

We had a reservation for 6:15PM, but did have to wait a bit while our table was being set up. Not a huge deal though as they actually have a little waiting area with a popcorn machine, which I thought was super cute and thoughtful. That said... we were here for seafood, so we had to hold ourselves back from snacking too much on popcorn LOL. We went on a Thursday, so we took advantage of their $50 for 50 oysters (with purchase of an entrée). Easily the best part of the experience from a value standpoint. While a good portion of the oysters were fresh, there were definitely a few that were noticeably off. Not just "less fresh," but the kind of bites that make you pause and immediately wanting to spit it out. It kind of takes away from the experience when you're second-guessing each one. We started with the ahi tuna tartare and individual cups of clam chowder. The tartare was decent, but lacked that extra punch or acidity to really make it stand out. The chowder, on the other hand, was surprisingly well done; generous clam pieces with that distinct briny, ocean flavour you only get from real seafood. It tasted authentic, not overly thick, and actually let the ingredients shine. For mains, I ordered the lobster mac & cheese, while my coworkers got the lobster & shrimp tagliatelle. The mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy, but leaned heavily toward pasta over lobster. I only found a few small pieces, mostly from the claw. It felt more like a standard mac & cheese with lobster added in after the fact rather than something cooked together cohesively. Not quite what I had in mind. I also tried a few bites of the tagliatelle; there was flavour there, but it needed salt to bring everything forward. As it stood, the flavours felt muted and a bit hidden. That said, shoutout to our server, Edward, who really helped elevate the experience. Super attentive, gave solid recommendations, and suggested a bottle of Oyster Bay Chardonnay to pair with the oysters, which ended up being a hit. Overall, this is a spot that's worth visiting for the specials alone, but the execution across dishes is a bit uneven. Good, not great, and I'd be more inclined to return strategically rather than for the full menu experience.

I think the mains here were kind of a miss in terms of flavour. A few things they can improve on imo: Oysters 5/5 - These were amazing and a hit. They served up 2 different options for us that were fresh and great. One entree purchase = you can order 50 oysters for $50. If you want another 50 oysters you'll have to purchase another entree. Caesar 3/5 - Caesars are my go to drinks, but this wasn't that great. The olives it came with were super salty, not enough depth in the drink. The oyster on top of my drink was also very salty. Not a well rounded cocktail. Sourdough 3.5/5 - This was a good filler, nothing too crazy or special. Came served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Fried calamari 3.5/5 - Great for sharing. Battered with chickpea flour and served with tzatziki. Lobster pasta 2.5/5 - This had a nice amount of lobster in here, but the sauce was odd. It kind of tasted like blended pumpkin in this sauce. Looked better than it tasted. Fries 4/5 - This was great and a nice addition to the oysters. Seasoned vegetables 3/5 - Standard vegetables. Lots of butter on them. Overall, I think the oysters are great if you're here for that. Definitely why I come back. But the mains can use some work.

Food was yummy…read more Service was average. Like other Chinese restaurants. Ambiance is ok. Overall I was surprise with the taste of the food. I went to dim sum once and it was ok. Dinner this time was good.

Dim Sum at Lobster Port is one of the best in the area. Lobster Port is slightly more expensive but…read moreit makes up in portion size. Their per plate cost is higher than some other Dim Sum restaurants, but each item's size makes it almost twice the amount of food. We were here as a party of three to enjoy their brunch. Their menu is very clear and self-explanatory, the plate size is priced and any special dishes have their offer right next to the item. Once you've filled it out, a staff member will review and enter the order and return your order form with a copy of the kitchen's order. As your items arrive, the server will check it off the list. Double check your list and/or call someone over if anything is taking too long. Everything we ordered seemed to have been freshly made to order so the first few dishes does take a bit of time, about 5-10 mins before the whole order was completed in about 30 mins. The atmosphere at Lobster Port is very bright and open, they have a decently high ceiling and good spacing between tables and have separate private dining rooms for private events/parties. The service and plating is very professional and upscale as well. The tea service comes in three pots, the hot water pot to refill the brewing pot, which you use to refill the serving pot, which itself is on a tea light to keep it warm. The tea is strong and refills are free as expected at a Chinese restaurant. They have a cash discount on the menu if you eat in early on M-F excluding holidays. Due to the portion size, start you order with around 2-3 dishes per person before adding on. We took some home as leftovers at 9 total dishes. We ordered... - the deep fried taro pork dumpling: the taro is very fresh and not oily - the steamed signature bbq pork rice noodle roll: the filling is very well balanced and fully stuffs the rice noodles and sticks very well to it, it is the best dish by far of all the Dim Sum I've tried - the lotus leaf sticky rice was very fragrant and stuffed with fillings - the pan fried turnip cake was super soft and fluffy - the siu mai was so large it looks like two in one - the har gow was massive and filled to the brim - the steamed spare ribs with taro: was pretty mid, it's good but nothing special - the crispy crusted baked sago pudding: was interesting, eat it right when it comes out to be fresh and hot, but can definitely pass on this, its basically like a hot rice pudding Overall, the food was very balanced, clean tasting, not oily, and under seasoned (in a good way). Their soy sauce is very light and fragrant and goes with everything well. Will definitely be coming back to try the buns and other steams items.
