We stopped here with our 3 kids while driving from upstate NY to DC. The service was amazing. The owner was genuine and really friendly. The cheesesteak sub was excellent! Our kids almost finished their turkey sub so they must have liked it! Seemed full of locals (always a good sign). Really affordable solid meal with great service. Love supporting small businesses. I've reported this place to the department of health. This is a small shop that doesn't practice social distancing and none of the three cranky old ladies who work here wear masks. Look, there are who people operating at 50% lung capacity who are capable of wearing masks so what's their excuse? You can peer right into the kitchen and it's not clean. Discarded frozen French fry boxes sitting around, flies buzzin- it's grim. The cheesesteak I had was good though. But I won't be stepping foot in here again. Mileto's is better. Hell, even Jersey Mike's, which observes state mandates. read more

The ladies working the shop today were brazen in disrespect towards their paying customers. Not one, but ALL THREE employees worked without masks. One was even chewing gum (undoubtedly spewing spit on food)! When asked if masks weren't required for them, the older cashier lady said she "had allergies". Another employee poked her head in and said she spoke with her supervisor and they weren't required and asked if I wanted to see the paperwork to prove it. Complete BS!!! This is a governor mandated mask order. Thousands of bars and businesses are yet to open due to Covid. Count yourself lucky and show some respect. Today I ordered a small Turkey cosmo hold the cheese. Sweet Jesus if that wasn't the best sub I have had in a long time!! I actually had to throw out the last few bites as I was full yet was unable to say no! Very nice lunch read more

Picked up some amazing subs here on the way through town. Good bread, excellent amount of quality meat, nice hot peppers and toppings. Fries were excellent crinkle cuts that tasted fresh and potato-y- I can't imagine that anyone is making making homemade crinkle cuts, but they sure tasted like it. My Spicy Italian Supreme was excellent, but I'm truly regretting not getting a cheesesteak. Eat one for me, wouldya? read more

Went here for lunch and ordered a veggie sub. First let me say those at the counter were not very friendly or personable. None the less I still ordered. The bean sprouts on the sub were bitter so I only ate half. When I mentioned it the clerk became argumentative and said they were fresh. Rather than offering good customer service she came back to my table three times to "prove" the sprouts were fresh. Which at this point I didn't care. So instead of taking my word or even eating them herself she badgered me each time she came to the table. I work downtown and frankly will never go back to this place as I also work hard for my money and will not support a business with such lousy service. The employees all seem miserable like they hate their jobs and hate customers. But if you like to be badgered while spending your hard earned money then go for it. read more

What takes a good sandwich to the next level is the ratios of meat to bread to toppings to condiments. Perfect ratios here. Best cheesesteak I've had in town. Got the deluxe cheesesteak. Absolutely loaded with perfectly tender meat, a generous slather of mayo, delicious peppers, onions, and mushrooms, all on a beautiful roll from Lycoming Bakery. Only reason it's not a 5 is because I haven't tried enough places to properly judge. This is the epitome of that casual sandwich joint you'd want to bring your friends home from college to. Copious portions at a more than reasonable price point. Freshly made food to order. Italian grilled sub is excellent as well. Highly recommend for any of your sandwich desires. They also have breakfast subs! Will for sure be back to try more items. read more

Love Casales! Easy to miss but it's always so delicious and fresh. I usually get a Pittsburgh salad and it's always delicious. The most recent time I went I got a wrap and it's definitely one of the best I've had in town. It doesn't look like much but all the ingredients are fresh and of great quality. Great for by yourself or with some friends. It's very quaint and comfortable. read more
