I tried this restaurant based on a recommendation from family, I ordered the jerk chicken Rasta pasta. The plate was so full! It lasted 2 days! The pasta could have been cooked a little bit softer, but the sauce was soooo good!! The chicken was well seasoned and the spice was just right!! It complemented the pasta and the sauce! I'm definitely going to try more! Only problem is the wait time.. as with EVERY Jamaican restaurant! I ordered the oxtail with rice n peas (medium) I didn't get the steam veggies because it didn't look fresh. I just got the sweet plaintains, my order came out to $11.70 which is standard for oxtail meals from Jamaican restaurants. The food was good I must say the rice was also good I just wished that they added more meat on my plate. Was in the area and did a google search for "Rasta Pasta"...Cascade Jerk came up with stellar reviews...specifically for the pasta which is what I had a craving for...Menu has many traditional Jamaican options along with plenty of sides, desserts, and bottled Caribbean specialty drinks. I ordered the salmon pasta with sorrel ginger drink, a pineapple ginger drink, and a ginger beer. The sauce on the pasta was incredible. It had a dry jerk seasoning, grated parmesan cheese, carrots, and broccoli and was topped with a decent sized piece of jerk salmon. Fried salmon was also an option but...when you go to a restaurant with "jerk" in the title...you probably should walk out with something with jerk seasoning on it haha The salmon was great! No skin, appears to have been grilled and it had a dry jerk seasoning on it that was epic. I live an hour away from Queens but if this place was closer to my house I would be there weekly...not sure how this place could have any negative reviews. I like spicy food. But this was the spicy where you need to take breaks like every 3 bites and do some breathing exercises. It's almost too spicy to where you can't enjoy it. Oh boy! This is not good at all guys! I called my order in way ahead of time because I am well aware that rasta pasta is made to order. Okay fine, right? WRONG!!!! The guy over the phone told me about 30 minutes so that I gave it; maybe five minutes extra. I found the location which is deep in Jamaica, Queens only to be told when I arrived, that my order was not ready. It's not ready I said? No, he replied. There was a mix up in orders, that is what they are back there arguing about he goes on to say.... First off, I had to ask whether my order was ready or not to begin with and second my order was mixed up after 35 minutes. Oh no! So I just told the guy forget it and I left. This is a good restaurant, I found out about them on Instagram and decided to give them a shot because I was in need of some shrimp or chicken pasta from someplace close by. Well I gotta tell you they did not disappoint. The shrimp pasta is delicious, I've also had the curry shrimp which is good also. But idc i ate one and 5 secs later my mouth was on fire, i tasted more of the pepper than i did the shrimp, it was terrible tasting. And my stomach was cramping up. So here is the reason for my 3 stars.... me and my boyfriend wanted some Jamaican food for delivery so we ordered from here through DoorDash i ordered curry shrimp with white rice and salad and instead i got grilled shrimp with jerk sauce on the side with the rice and salad okay no biggie it was still good..but it was not what i orders then my boyfriend ordered the ox tail with brown rice n beans and cabbage and in his order he found a piece of plastic in his food and couldn't finish the rest. We also ordered two ting sodas and mines was fresh tasted very good but my boyfriends soda was expired and u can taste that it was old and smelled like ginger so couldn't finish that either luckily door dash credit back half my money. Not sure why there's no many bad reviews, i ordered off doordash today, i got the dreadlocks pasta with crab legs .. the pasta isn't all that but that's just my opinion i just don't like that taste of it. the crab legs were nice and spicy but the meat inside the crab legs weren't much tasty. if you don't like spicy food you won't like their food. they are pricey on doordash .. i may give them another chance but i probably won't ever get the pasta and crab legs again read more

I ran across this place on Instagram and the food looked delicious so I had my husband drive me to work early today 3/25/21just so I can stop here and pick me up something tasty for lunch. Well I must say...the young lady that suppose to greet you, respond to questions in regards to the food and/or restaurant was nasty for no reason. First off no greeting so l started by asking her about the different shrimp varieties offered and her respond and body language made me feel unwelcome and as if I was bothering her. She was very vague when you asked her anything else about the food. I should of just left then but I ordered what was in sight. I did not go any further with her and what is sad there was 3 other employees within ear range. I still supported the business and made a purchase however, she ruined the whole experience and it's a shame.
