Ever wanted to love EVERYTHING about a restaurant? Yup me too. When the restaurant first opened the food was amazing, and tasted super fresh. The food was also well seasoned. The first time I had Cascade I ordered it from uber eats and it was really good. My boyfriend got the samon reggae pasta and I have the shrimp reggae pasta. It was creamy and seasoned well. The second time however I called cascade directly and picked it up last night and it wasnt the same. I dont know if it was a heavy hand or what but the pasta was really hot. Now dont get me wrong I love spicy but this over took the whole dish. I couldnt even enjoy it probably because my mouth was burning. I will try one more time and update my stars according to how my food taste. read more

Came and orders soup and two meals. Smh worst Caribbean food I've had in my life smh (and I'm West Indian). Very bad costumer service. The Flamboyant guy with the color hair that work the front smh, very rude person. His attitude stinks...he need to work in the back where the men be. Sat up and argued with female for no reason. I guess he was upset already with his boyfriend and took it out on customer. He know that wouldn't rock in J.A. but moving along. The ladies working weren't friendly either they just sat there as if they were chilling, just looking at customers. I know they can't be raised in the Caribbean because they would be well mannered. Ordered on Seamless...as the highest rated West Indian restaurant near me (4 star- almost 2500 reviews) I figured it was a win/win. Then I read the reviews on yelp (a bit ass backwards) and was prepared to wait at least 2 hrs for delivery and then trash upon arrival. Far from it!! Food arrived within 40 mins, securely packed, piping hot, and with portions large enough for 2 hearty adult eaters.. Ordered a small oxtail with rice & peas, pepper shrimp, steamed fish with veggies and the shrimp and oxtail dreadlock pasta. Talk about delish with the shrimp and oxtail dreadlock pasta being my fav and new go to. When it comes to the spice level, the default is XXX HOT. You can have them tone it down but keep in mind their idea of toned down might still be a bit hot for some. As for customer service, I've never been inside the restaurant but I've called a few times and never had any issues with bad customer service. If anything, they've always been polite and pleasant. But who knows, maybe they read the reviews and took note. read more

Was tired getting back into the country but had been excited to stay where lots of Caribbean joints are located. I decided to stay in and Grubhub. The food here is good however the customer service from certain employees completely sucks. Some of the main employees who work all the time dont greet you when you come in. There is no "welcome to cascade jerk how may I help you ?" Some of them say what do you want ?... Which isnt good service. When its crowded there is no line control ive often been skipped due to the fact that the employees arent paying attention to who came in when .... therefore Ive ended up waiting for other people to order before me and I was there first... and they dont ask who was next they just take the closest persons order. when they are on the phone handling those orders they do not acknowledge customers waiting there isnt a greeting at all.... they should say "good evening welcome to cascade jerk ill be with you shortly " but they dont say anthing... nor do they call another employee from the back to come and take orders quickly. A few of the employees also always look as if they have an attitude everytime. if i have a question about a price or a certain dish they seem agitated... Some of the workers need a hospitality and customer service lesson. the food is good however if the service doesnt improve i will not be spending my money here anymore. read more

Amazingly awesome, this spot hands down has probably the best Jamaican food I have eaten in years, this brings me back to Kingston Jamaica where I did a few years in the import business. Super friendly staff, the jerk chicken and jerk pork are to die for. :-) not often do you find a place that serves food that brings back great memory just by the aroma of the food. I ordered Rasta pasta and oxtail over the phone for take out and the ugly ass worker had an attitude. If you don't like your job don't work there! Bad experience for a first time visiting the store. Other than that my oxtail was seasoned perfectly and the Rasta pasta topped the dish. Food was worth the price read more

Despite the mixed reviews, my experience was good. Although I wanted seafood, what they had at the counter looked dry like it had been there all day so I went for the oxtail Rasta pasta. I have never had Rasta pasta that flavorful (it was full of garlic and I LOVE garlic flavor). The oxtail was delicious and falling off the bone and you know oxtail is good when the bone is still full of flavor! I really hope the next time I go back that my experience is the same and that more seafood options are available. read more

I'm going to give this place 2.5 stars. I was excited to order from here since a lot of the reviews stated that this place had good food and I was craving some good jerk chicken. I ordered the curry goat, the oxtail stew, and the jerk chicken platters. All were supposed to come with vegetables, but there were none in any of them, only rice and beans. First let's talk about the jerk chicken. It had some flavor but was not spicy at all. The chicken was either sitting out too long or was overcooked. The dark meat of the chicken was bone dry. How do you get dry dark meat!? White meat, fine, understandable, but dark. Wow...I was really disappointed in that. I've had other jerk chicken from places that add a bit of the jerk sauce on the side. This place needs to think about that for their jerk chicken deliveries since it lacked moisture when it got here. The saving grace for this place were the goat curry and oxtail platters. Both had good flavor and are worth ordering again. The only thing is that the oxtail didn't have enough sauce. The parts of the oxtail platter that didn't have enough sauce were a bit dry. The pieces of oxtail were plentiful and weren't too fatty. The goat had a little bit of spice to it, something that I was expecting more of from the other dishes. Portions of the large platters were as expected. Could probably be shared by two people. The delivery took 1.5 hours and I live about 4 miles away. I knew it was going to take long from all the other reviews so this was only loss of a half star. The first dish I had from here was shrimp scampi with pasta and it was absolutely delicious. I recently ordered an order of sautéed mixed veggies and salmon. The veggies tasted very good although I wish there were more veggies in my plate. The salmon on the other hand was not good at all. The salmon seemed like it was frozen and then they just cooked it and was very dry. I feel like if your cooking seafood it should be fresh and not frozen. Estimated delivery time was 5:50-6pm At 6:30 I called the restaurant and was told by a woman, that she "hopes" I get my order soon and doesn't have any idea when I can expect it At 6:45 I ended up calling seamless who called the restaurant, and was told that the order would arrive in 10 minutes At 7:10 I called the restaurant and was told that that the delivery guy had a flat tire and would have to wait an addition 15-20 min Order cancelled.... I ordered from this place one night for my children, the order came with damn near half of my meal missing. How you order curry goat roti, and get no curry goat but get roti alone? Beef patty with coco bread, but they send no beef patty, just coco bread? I didnt even call and complain because i chalked it up to it being a mistake and moved on. Next morning my kids say they enjoyed the mac so i go against my instinct and order again and they forget the 2 orders of mac and cheese that i ordered for my children so obviously they messed up 2/2 times so i call and complain. They then tell me they dont have a delivery driver available so i have to come get it. Why would i order delivery and pay a fuckin delivery fee to go pick my food up. Ridiculous. The manager comes and delivers my food personally after some push back, and gives a little extra to show that he appreciates our business. It calms me down momentarily, i say okkk maybe we can see what happens and consider ordered again. Why? I still cant figure it out, i must be an idiot. Now its a week or 2 later, my kids mention the rasta pasta so i order and BOOM surpriseeee, my food comes with a whole order of oxtail missing but shocker again, the roti for the oxtail is here. Why cant you complete simple tasks. I call and complain that ive only ordered THREE times and EACH time they left something out and again they ask me if i can pick it up rather than just rectifying the situation. The ONLY reason i gave 2 stars and not 1 is because the food itself is good but I will never again order from this place despite how good the food is, because what good does that do if i can never fucking get what i ordered. 3/3 fails, there will not be a 4th. Wow, the food here is amazing. I've lived in queens for 30 years and I've tried them all but this is by far the best Jamaican food I've ever had. The staff is so welcoming they make you feel as if your a part of a family. I love the face that this place covers the food and it's not sitting open drying out or having big hover over the food. I live not far from this restaurant and it's actually one of my favorites... the young lady that's always there and a skinny tall guy are wonderful always friendly and make sure my order is just the way I like it... the Rasta pasta with curry goat is one of my favorite ...I've read some of the other reviews and I see that delivery time is bad... but I must tell you I've been there several times and see for myself how busy take out orders are and the 2 delivery guys try their best with the phone going off every second! It's crazy with the hard work that they put in to have some of you complain... if only you knew how hard they try to get your orders to you... surly they aren't doing it on purpose.my only complaint is please instal an air conditioner because the poor young lady looks like she's gonna pass out ! read more

I placed my order through seamless at 9:25pm waiting until 10:35pm still no food, called the restaurant a women answered the phone and apologized for the wait and advised me that my order was on the way. 11:00pm- still no food. I call the restaurant twice to find out where the food was however no answer. I Finally received a call from the driver at 11:24 telling me that my food was outside!!! The food was cold and the reggae pasta was so over cooked and dry that it tasted like mashed potatoes! The mac and cheese was dry ( taste like they used cheap cheese) and the Jerk chicken was soggy!
