So me and my wife came here because we was really hungry And seen the ads on instagram and the food looked really good..when we got there we order our food but first we tried the fried chicken and it was off the chain...so good we got 4 more pieces to take home...but for our main course We got Rasta pasta with jerk shrimp and she got Rasta pasta with chili shrimp..and let me say this the Rasta pasta was so dry it didn't make no sense and the jerk shrimp was hard and the chili shrimp had a after taste I mean boy o boy we just waste 40 dollars and the fried chicken we took home was burnt read more

Third time getting food here and I keep wondering why such bad reviews. The rasta pasta is so delicious and with jerk chicken yumm just a bit on the spicy side. Today I called to order a pasta and was told ten minutes. When i got there I only had to wait an extra five minutes. I also had their sweet chili chicken before and it's mouthwatering good. I ordered butter shrimp from here because I had escovitch chicken, brown stew chicken and curry chicken from here and truly enjoyed them all. The butter shrimp was the best butter shrimp I have had in 15 years. I am so glad that this is on the Uber eats list. Today I am trying chicken chop Suey and Rasta pasta. So, I usually come here when I'm in the area. I ALWAYS order a large oxtail with Rice and Peas. For some reason the woman that shares it is sooooo stingy with sharing the meat. My plate looks like I ordered a large plate of rice with a side of oxtails. Whats the point? Its soo annoying and you say something she catches an attitude saying thats the portion. HORRIBLY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! The food is good, but expensive. I was a regular here, spending $30-$40 every time I've gone. However, I decided to stop giving them my business on Thursday evening. I called near closing time on behalf of my wife, who wanted food. I asked if they had any rice other than rice and peas. The man who answered was nasty on the phone. I went into the store to address him in person, and the same flamboyant person argued with me after I told him he didn't have to be so nasty to the customer. I asked him if he's willing to lose regular customers over his nasty attitude, and he just shrugged his shoulders. I told him it doesn't matter to him because he's probably not the business owner. His response was "you don't know that I'm not the business owner!" That's what prompted me to go ahead and write this review, because if he is indeed the owner of the business, he's disgusting, and present and potential customers need to be alerted prior to deciding whether or not to patronize this business. Ordered through grub hub and waited over two hours for my food. The estimated deliver time is 80-90 minutes.

My original order was lost during delivery aftee waiting 2 hrs. However, the owner called me and gacw sincere apology, offered the order for free and gave a 30% discount if I chose to order ever again. Upon receipt of the 2nd delivery, I found out the owner sent much more food than originally order. I was totally impressed by the owner's desire to give excellent customer service and develop a lasting relationship with a new customer. I def recommend this restaurant!!!! read more

What a waste of the 2 hours that I waited for my food to come from doordash. The food was disgusting. I threw everything out. I ordered the curry shrimp roti. When I got home, I was so ready to tear that thing down. I opened the foil plate the curry was carried in and saw that the chef added corn on the cob and the sauce was a bit watery. That was a bit strange but not so bad. Ok, Let me see what it taste like. What I thought was potatoes, was a bunch of pineapples!!! Nah suh!!! throw the whole pot away and the chef. Who thought that was a good idea cooking pineapples in curry? So disappointed. Hands down the food is really good..... but I can't deal with their stink ass attitudes. Like no matter how nice you are they are just nasty.... customer service is everything and I would love to eat and spend my money here just for the food but the staff really need to work on treating their paying customers with respect.... This place is a diamond in the ruff in South Jamaica located on 119th Avenue and Sutphin Blvd. The food is really good, I can recommend the seafood soup on with crab legs on Fridays and the Rasta Shrimp Pasta. It has been a very long time since we had a local good eat in the neighborhood. read more

I live in the area and pass Cascade Jerk on my way to The Door frequently. I decided to stop here the other day. Unlike most West Indian restaurants, the woman behind the counter treated me nice. Most of the time I feel like they can care less about a paying customer. It was great customer service. They have a large chalk board with the menu items but there isn't a price for anything in sight. I looked to see if there were paper menus and there was nothing with a price. I am a working college girl and even though I like to eat out, sometime, I don't want to shell out more than what I can budget for. The woman behind the counter had to keep going to the register to answer my pricing questions. I decided to get a large jerk pork with white rice. The price was around $13.00 and they take card (thank god!). The pork was very well seasoned and the taste was great but whoever cooked it left it on the stove well past the time it needed off. The pork was DRY like the Sahara Desert. It was terrible. I was left so disappointed since it was actually seasoned and spiced perfectly. I don't know if I would return there. read more

Love the food, love the flavors. I found the portions to be a great size, perfect for sharing! I wish plantains came with the lunch/dinner meals, but no biggie. They do have a small sit down area, but I couldnt eat in there even if i wanted to, it's too hot. I'm sure I'll I appreciate this during the winter. I can honestly say that I will be back. I placed an order via grub hub at 9:14pm and my food did not arrive at my house until 11:32! My grub hub app informed me that my food would be delivered between 10:15-10:25, at 10:34 I called just to get an update because my food had not yet arrived. When I spoke to someone on they phone they had informed me that the food left for delivery 20 mins prior to my call (which means it left the restaurant around 10:15). So I figured that my food would arrive shortly. After another 20 mins (10:54) I called back because my food still hadn't arrived. I was informed at that time that my food should arrive in 10minutes. Then at 11:24 my husband called the restaurant because our order still had not arrived. After speaking with the restaurant only then did they say that the driver was in traffic and that he would be here in 5 mins. Once the food came at 11:32 it was unappetizing. All meals and side dishes were cold and my order was wrong. I ordered cooked veggies as a side with both dishes and got raw veggies. I know that's a small detail and normally I would overlook it but since it's took over 2 hours from start to finish without any updates from the restaurant directly I have decided to include that one little note. Placed an order through DoorDash. Ordered an BBQ chicken meal with white rice and added oxtail. Order got to me timely but they gave me rice and peas instead of white rice which I don't eat. I called and a nice young lady on the phone picked up and apologized and asked me to come by and get the correct food, that they ran out of white rice and just gave me the alternative. Which was a huge inconvenience to me being that I live in Queens Village, I had to get on the highway to get here 20 mins later. I came in around 8:50PM on 11/08/19 and I was met with a young brown skin lady with weird baby hairs and I explained to her what happened, she didn't know. She goes "oh so the food was correct it's JUST the rice". Sweetie I don't care if it was JUST the vegetables. I told her I'm here for the food, she looks me up & down as if I was asking her to cut off her arm and asks me "where's the food?" I told her it's in my car. She know turns her back to me and is walking away while telling me to go bring the food and she'll give me the new one. I went and got it and returned it to her. Maybe she plans to eat it later. If it wasn't for the fact that I ordered through DoorDash I would've asked for my money back. Sis, you not doing me any favors my business is going to your checks so I would check the attitude when you're dealing with customers. There was another girl with glasses, I'm assuming the pleasant girl who was on the phone earlier who gave me the food and apologized again. This was my first time ordering and I'm never coming back here or getting my business again, being treated as if this food was sent down from God or something. I can't even tell you about the food because it never came!!!! I ordered last night at 7:40, got a confirmation that the food should arrive around 9:10. I gave a 30 minute grace before calling because I figured I lived a little outside of the normal delivery route. So two hours after my order was placed I was on the phone with someone who told me that my food was "on it's way" and they were "thrown off" because they ran out of rice and peas AND white rice so they had to wait for it to be prepared and she couldn't tell me exactly when I would get my food because of "traffic on the road". Fast forward an hour later (20 minutes before they are scheduled to close) I call again to check my delivery status and I was told I would get a call back because they are going to call the driver. Ha! I'm still waiting on my call at 8:00 the following morning. Worst delivery experience ever, if you can even call it that. I ordered the deadlock shrimp dish and the noodles were a bit softer than I would have liked. I reached out to the restaurant, and they sent me a brand new order without any hassle. This was the best customer service experience that I have had with a Caribbean establishment.
