We recently moved into The Platform apartments in Kent. I was already dreading hearing that Comcast or Century Link would be the only options. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was informed that there was a third option: Cascadelink. What a company! We've received what can only be described as "white glove" service - and we aren't even paying customers yet; just the trial period. I was having issues getting connected and called up their support. Everyone was courteous, and a tech was set to arrive the same day after I let them know what I had attempted already in the way of troubleshooting. Ki (the awesome technician) arrived later that afternoon (and the window of arrival, for the record, was 1 hour - not 4) to help us out . Ki was professional, friendly and efficient. We were up and running in no time. I have been with cascade link for more than 2 years now; great value and reliable service. I signed up for the 30mbps service and can consistently get 25+Mbps on speed test. No contract, no additional fees; the price hasn't increase at all these past two years! I have been to the functions they held at my building and they serve great food and wine; you also get to meet some of their staff and they are all just so friendly! So happy with them!!! read more

Cascadelink has been the best ISP (internet service provider) we've ever used. Reliable, fast connection (yes sometimes it slows, but that's the way it goes). And their service is top notch. The building we live in is new construction; the builders threw a grand opening for new residents and the owners of Cascadelink were there to meet the residents. Who does that? Not Comcast. I signed up for Cascadelink over two years ago after getting fed up with how much Comcast was charging me everything month. I love that price is reasonable ($39.99 a month!) and that it hasn't changed at all since I joined. I've never had any service issues or complaints about the speed. I recently moved into a new apartment and was so happy to see that Cascadelink was available in the new building. I called to set up a transfer of my service and the people were super nice. At first, they kept offering me installation in the middle of the day that I couldn't make work with my work schedule (I want to say their normal installation hours are 10am-4pm which are not the most convenient for me), but they were able to find a technician who could come by first thing at 8am so I could have the appointment and still make it to work at a reasonable time. read more

If you can get Cascadelink, GET IT! They provide the best service I've had from an ISP. The setup technician was on-time, installed everything through my existing phone line, and I was given the advertised speed (60Mbps). When I moved out of my building and (sadly) needed to cancel, I simply EMAILED them, asking to cancel, and they did! They mailed me a prepaid envelope to send the electronics back, and that was that! Lived in a multi-unit building and enjoyed having a provider not affiliated with the cable providers of the world. Speed was generally fast, though there were times it could have been faster, but never had an issues with Netflix or ESPN3 or others via Xbox or laptop. Great customer service, though... would get texts with details on network issues when I inquired. Would recommend! read more

I used Condo Internet for a year in my old building, and never had to call them for a service issue. In my year of Cascadelink in a new building, also in Belltown, I've had to call them several times. Once one of their techs disconnected my connection in the building when they installed someone else's, and I had to wait a day to have it reconnected. All they said was the equivalent to, "Oops." Not even, "Sorry." When you call Cascadelink for help, you have to speak to an answering service who will relay your message to someone at the company. They can't look up your account, so they ask you for all your details, each time. Tech Support is fairly responsive in calling back, but it's hit or miss. Also, I'm not a luddite, and I don't call them without checking the basics, so I wish they would believe me when I call to report a problem with their service. With Cascadelink, it either works or it doesn't, and they are not too concerned with the quality of the service itself if it's not completely broken. read more

I have been nothing but impressed with Cascadelink! When I moved into my apartment in Magnolia, Cascadelink was already built into all of the units, so all I had to do was call, set up an account, connect my router and I was instantly online. And I hardly ever had any connectivity issues...I think the one time I did, I just needed to unplug/plug back in my router. Easy enough! They always quickly responded to requests, as well. I used CascadeLink for high-speed wifi internet for almost 3 years while living in a Belltown apartment, and I have nothing but good things to say about their service! Online service set-up was a total breeze, and I never had any issues whatsoever with the service or billing. Arranging to close my account was super-easy via email, and I was sad to say goodbye for an out-of-state move, because my experience was the best. We waited to Yelp on Cascadelink for a month, because it seemed too good to be true in the very beginning. From the first email, they were responsive and made switching super easy. We were hooked up in less than a day, and the representative personally delivered our router at 8:00 at night, already pre-programmed! Cascadelink is the best there is. I just moved to a building where they don't have service and I miss them already. To 'set up', you just contact them and they turn on the service. There are no fees and they never try to upsell you. The internet was very fast and a good speed for the price. I never had trouble with speed; i could stream full HD with surround sound, play multiplayer games, etc. If you can get Cascadelink, do it! read more

UPDATED REVIEW: The tech at Cascadelink was able to come the very next day (on a Saturday) and fix my service. It works! And it's coming from the correct port. Also, Dave (the owner) wrote me personally to explain why the wrong port was active to begin with and apologized for the no-service issue when the original tech came to switch ports. He also updated my billing date to the day everything was working perfectly AND gave me a one-month billing credit. Like I said before, great customer service. Especially when they make an error (which is when good customer service really counts). While service got off to a rocky start, I'm very happy my building is set up with Cascadelink, and I'm glad to be one of their customers. I will likely stay with them for a very long time. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Wanted to love this company for being local and independent and wonderful, but they effed up my service during a very irritating, stressful move. First, when I moved into my new apartment and had service activated, it was activated in the wrong port. The ethernet port in the bedroom was active. The one in the living room area was not. How does this make any sense? Especially to a modern ISP that should know better. Then, the tech came to switch the port over. I got home and discovered NEITHER port was working. Hurray for not having internet. I had to cancel plans with a friend (she was coming over to watch something on Netflix). It's not a huge deal, but very irritating considering I rush ordered my router and gave plenty of time for the service to be up and running. I will say their customer service reps are great. They didn't offer me a bill credit, but they're still very courteous and wanting to help. Welp, I guess I'll end this review now and sit quietly in my apartment with nothing to do. If you get a chance to use Cascadelink, do it! We had a simple fast setup and everything has been really really fast since. Any kind of streaming will work on its highest setting and we have never had to deal with buffering. We've been very happy customers for the past year and will stay with them for as long as we can. As someone who works from home, hosts a small personal web site, and likes to stream movies and TV shows, I can appreciate a good internet connection. I couldn't have switched over any faster when Cascadelink became available in my building. Of course, I did have a hand in getting them installed as an option, but that means I personally evaluated their offerings and support against the competition and Cascadelink was the clear winner. They have the right service for the right price. The local team is amazing as well, all the way from installers to sales to the CEO. Not only do I now have super-fast internet, but I was actually able to get rid of my previous cable service bill entirely by switching to streaming services for my regular TV needs and an inexpensive over-the-air antenna for the basics. Literally $39.99 a month out the door. Try to beat that with any other provider. If you live in a building that Cascadelink serves and you don't have their service, what are you waiting for? read more

At the start of the year when I signed up, the service was great, didn't experience any outages. But recently, I've been experiencing constant outages. I had to be on call sometimes for work and have to pay XFinity during these outages to use their internet service while Cascadelink is down. I really hope that they would get this fixed asap, otherwise I will have to switch to a different provider. read more

We moved into a new condo and set up an appointment to install CascadeLink internet service. We had a friend referral, so CascadeLink waived a set-up fee. So far so good! However, the actual set up appointment became a frustrating experience. A tech asked us to pick any time on Monday between 11am and 4pm. We asked for, then confirmed 11am Monday. The tech then notified us the day after that Monday was now booked; would Tuesday work? We asked for, then confirmed 2:30pm Tuesday. We were at the apartment at 2:30pm only to have the tech call to delay until 3pm. We waited until 3pm to have the tech call to delay until 4:15pm. We are happy to be flexible with some advance notice, but rescheduling ad hoc so many times is unprofessional, especially midday on a weekday. I recommend Wave G / Condonet's customer service over CascadeLink. I only hope that this case is an outlier, as some of the other reviews seem positive. Very disappointed. read more

READ THIS BEFORE CONTACTING THIS COMPANY - I think the service rep I was speaking with this morning was eating when she returned my call. And to make matters worse she kept talking over me and interrupting me. THE BIG THING people need to know is that CascadeLink DOSE NOT cover the area that is highlighted on their coverage map. They only provide service in select, large apartment or condo complexes. The woman on the phone was quite snide when I told her that my building was built in the 90's...I think she actually snorted and then followed up with a statement about how they only work with high-end, newer complexes. We had been using comcast, and were getting sick of the expensive, yet slow internet. We heard about cascadelink through our apartment building & made the switch. They rock. They were out the next day to get us set up (and they don't make you block out 4 hours of your day, they set an actual appointment time for setup), and the internet is better than comcast, for cheaper! This is the most consistently bad internet connection I have ever had. At first, I thought that the lags were caused by peak hours, but then I realized that it does it more-or-less always. I can be sure that during any given hour online, at some point it will grind to a halt. Will probably switch providers. read more

I've been forced to have Cascade since I moved into the footprint apartments and it's always going down. This month alone it's gone down 4 times and after opening tickets I never receive a response until after its fixed. I used to work for speakeasy Internet and we always contacted our customers to assure them what was going on so they didn't feel stranded which is exactly how I feel today since the Internet has been down for 5 hours and I've yet to revive any contact from them. A rock solid ISP with terrific service. Example: after a recent outage, i was having trouble getting back online. Working with Charles over the phone for several hours over the evening without resolution, he was here the next morning at 10 am to quickly replace some equipment and was out the door in under 30 minutes. Cascadelink doesn't provide any customer service. They use a phone service, so majority of the time your talking with people who are not even related to the company and have no concept about what is going on. When you do get the displeasure of talking to one of the very few support representatives you will learn that their job is to tell you nothing and to just ignore your questions. I have experienced multiple outages and we are a business. I understand outages can happen, but when I call in and ask what the situation is and how long it will take to resolve, because I am trying to make scheduling decisions for my employees who were unable to do their job because of no Internet -- the only answer I get is, call us back in 12 hours, I am severely disappointed. Even during outages their network status website says everything is fine with their network. They have trouble with transparency and being direct with customers about problems.
