Before I found Dr.Cho about a year ago through yelp. I did research through google and yelp for a…read moregood dentist, especially for Invisalign. To make sure he was the right doctor I wanted to go to. As I had bad experiences with prior dentists with care and some disregarding pronouns. Hopefully, I don't run into any of these issues here. After back and forth with pricing and patient reviews from different dentist. I found I was able to get a decent price for my Invisalign with my insurance here. From my observation from going here for about a year. His office is clean and his team is professional when they check you in, and sending reminders of appts or rescheduling. Mornings are usually their busiest. Might have to wait depending how busy they are. In my experience for my check up visits, Im usually in and out (Which is nice). My check up appts are between 6-8 weeks. I usually see his techs. They did my attachments and removal. And receive my next set of retainers and some chewies. From the prior set of attachments two of them came out but they said it was fine. One of my attachment removal is still a little sensitive think it might have been grinded down a little too much. I can see some of my teeth are slowly but surely getting straight. I've seen Dr.Cho a handful of times with the consultation, grinding for gapping teeth and two or three of my check ups. Two more appt and hopefully I won't need it anymore sets. I understand their office is busy. But, more checks from the Dr through the invisalign process about progress and concerns would have been more reassuring.

Unfortunately, that changed this year. In March 2026, I had a crown done and later reviewed my Explanation of Benefits (EOB). I discovered that I had been charged significantly more than my responsibility under my Delta Dental plan. What followed was weeks of phone calls with both Delta Dental and Rossmoor Dental, reviewing claim details, contracted rates, and plan documents. The office eventually issued a partial refund, but it wasn't until I filed a formal grievance with Delta Dental that the remaining overcharge was acknowledged. Delta Dental ultimately ruled in my favor and determined that I was entitled to additional reimbursement. Because of that experience, I reviewed a previous crown procedure from February 2025 and found another substantial discrepancy between what I was charged and what my EOB showed I should have owed. I likely never would have discovered it had I not been investigating the more recent claim. I also reviewed a treatment estimate that my husband received for an upcoming surgical procedure. When I compared the estimate to Delta Dental's contracted rates, there was a discrepancy of more than $800 on one of the procedure codes. After seeing that, my husband canceled the appointment. Another concern was the constant recommendations for additional services, treatments, and upgrades. While I cannot say whether those services were necessary or not, after uncovering multiple billing discrepancies, it became difficult to feel confident in the treatment recommendations and financial estimates we were receiving. The actual dental work was generally fine, and this review is not about the quality of the dentistry. It is about transparency, billing accuracy, and trust. After 9 years as patients, it is disappointing to have spent so much time correcting billing issues that should not have happened in the first place. My advice is simple: review your EOBs carefully and compare them to what you are being charged. It may save you hundreds of dollars.
