We really like this grocery store. The meat counter is great and the butchers working there are extremely helpful. They will clean and cut the meat for you with no problem at all. Love Casey's. Kevin always willing to assist for whatever your looking for. One day while shopping I got out of breath. Really needed to sit down for a few minutes. Asked a clerk stocking shelves if there was a chair. He went and got Kevin's chair. Kevin came out and immediately asked if I was okay? After sitting for a few minutes I was good to go. Kevin had another clerk help me through check out process he wheeled out groceries, put in car and asked if there was anything else he could do? I heart this place! The best deli and meat selections around. I stop in at least every other week. The prepared meats make dinner easy for me. I just pop them in the oven! Since my review from over six years ago, I've continued to frequent Casey's. Their prices are higher than Jewel and Dominick's (RIP), but I really want to see this store succeed. Their butcher and seafood guys sell fantastic stuff. Also, they carry a bunch of whole bean coffees that I can't get at the lower tier stores - stuff like Julius Meinl - they are harder to come by in the suburbs. Produce is terrific too. My one complaint: practically everything is placed on a styrofoam tray and wrapped in plastic. Huh? It sort of harshes the organic banana buying experience when I realize I can only enjoy if I then discard so much packaging. But overall, love it. read more

I used to buy fresh and good quality produce, meats and even seafoods in the grocery stores but not until I discovered this store. My good friend actually knows this store first and then she recommended it to me after she really experienced buying goodies from this store and she says that the produce, meat and seafood of this store are really a good one and the prices are much better. I then went to the store and I must say that it has an enough space and it is clean and well-organized. The staffs and the butchers are very friendly too. I just bought a fish, some meats and produce the first time I visited the store ad I told myself to try it first and see the results. When I tried it all, everything was really fresh and in a high quality and that is when I started going back and buying most of the meats, seafood and produce I needed from this store. This is the absolute best grocery store in Naperville. Their deli counter is righteous. Their butcher shop has tons of fresh choices and they will debone any cut of meat without hesitation. Plus they always carry fresh turkey breast year round, which is something I am grateful for when I get a hankering to smoke some turkey in my smoker. Oh. I went in with my family for the first time today. I agree with everyone. The butcher is great. The meats here are brilliant. Really top notch and I think that you would be hard pressed to find better. After our shop when we checked out, the staff at the register didn't even acknowledge us. The check out girl and the bag girl just kept their conversation going and didn't say a thing to us until the girl told us the total. Really it was like we were not even there. We have only lived in Naperville for a few months and are big fans of the engaging and seemingly hyper-empowered staff at Trader-Joes righty next door. They are so friendly and service oriented that I am astounded every time I go there. I give 2 stars to Casey's for the 5 star butcher and great store, balanced with the 0 star staff at the counter. I don't eat a lot of meat, but when I do, I prefer buying it from Casey's. Same goes for their deli. This place is a meat-lovers dream. The butcher counter here is big, beautiful, and chock full of some of the finest butchering you will ever see. They have everything from homemade sausage and bratwurst to steak, wild game, and amazing chicken preparations. The guys behind the counter are always wonderful and patient. The deli is first rate. I love Boars Head Provisions, and for the longest time this was the only place in town that sold B.H. They have a huge selection of meats and cheeses, not to mention they have an exceptional selection of salads. Again, the people behind the counter are nice as can be, and they're super-efficient. Produce section is small, but exceptionally well-stocked. They keep things fresh and interesting, and you can get veggies and fruit pre-cut and ready to cook. The prices run along the same curve as Whole Foods, so you may want to shoot to Trader Joe's across the lot to get your produce if you're price-sensitive. Grocery section of the store is small but stocked with the essentials. Given that this place isn't on the scale of a Mariano's or Jewel, prices run a little higher than average. Still, it's fine if you are coming in for the butcher and deli and need a few extra items. Definitely a 5-star store. read more

It's not a five star grocery store. It's a five star local business. About the store... it's locally owned and Dan Casey is an active member of the community. You might run into him at Edward Fitness and he might hire your high school kid one day to work at his store. When he hires the young people that work there, he sits down and talks to them, really talks to them. This store is a very personal thing for Dan, not just a business. The grocery store doesn't have great prices or selection, they're ok.. not great. The produce department is tiny, good quality, but tiny.. I remember I once needed shallots and they didn't have them at the time. They have a good deli, pricey compared to Caputo's, but good. Their prepared foods are excellent. Quality and freshness is top notch, buy with confidence. In the right weather on the weekends they set up the grill out front and make stuff to sell at reasonable prices But where they absolutely blow everyone out of the water is the meat department. This is really a kick ass butcher shop with a grocery store attached. They've got a bunch of busy butchers behind the counter, they've got energy, ideas, some humor and lot's of knowledge... don't be afraid to ask questions or make requests. They do a cut of meat that I've only seen there, it's the Heart of the Rib Eye and it's great (not cheap) One of the things that I don't like on a Rib Eye is all the fat, their Heart of the Rib Eye is the center, it's almost like a big ole' Filet Mignon... but much better ... some marbling and great flavor and texture. Got an important roast to make for an even coming up? Order ahead. You can be confident that Casey's will come through for you. Especially in the crazy holiday seasons.. they don't drop the ball. One day, I'm there and it's really busy, I've got a number and I'm waiting in front of the meat cases with lot's of other people (this doesn't bother me at this store) and an older gentleman that I've seen a lot at the gym looks over at me and says in a really loud voice "I almost didn't recognize you with your clothes on!" I can't say enough good things about Casey's! Certainly, come for the butcher and meat counter, but stay and shop for the wonderful produce and affordable vegetables. This little Mom and Pop neighborhood grocery store is fabulous! It's worth the drive to get the few store favorites! The prices are a bit higher than the mass chain markets, understandably so. The Conqueso and BLT dips are the absolute party must! The butcher shop also has the best meats! They also sell the HTF Grandma's of New England coffee cakes, which are out of this world! I have been coming to Casey's for as long as I can remember!!!! It's changed a bit over the years but one thing for sure has not !! They still have the best butchered meat in town !!! My husband and I love to BBQ and smoke (well artificially smoke at the moment, don't have house yet) but we have made quite a few pork shoulders (17-20lb!) and every time they the best!! Also For Saint patty's day or well when we have a huge craving for good corn beef!! It takes some time but what ever they do at Casey's it's perfect ! Casey's gives me that warm fuzzy feeling of buying local. And being a local grocer gives them advantages over Jewel and Dominic's, specifically the fact that it doesn't take a food supplier a bazillion (I've consulted a grocery store scientist who confirmed the authenticity of the quantity bazillion) dollars to get their product stocked on the shelf. This means that Casey's carries some weird ass food. Like Jack Daniel's mustards. Turns out Jack Daniels Spicy Southwest mustard sucks really hard. Casey's gave me the opportunity to find that out. But seriously, you're going to find your cambell's soup and your frosted flakes, but there are going to be sauces and cookies that you can't find elsewhere. Check out the wall behind you while you're waiting at the deli counter. Which, coincidentally brings us to.... .... THE DELI. God I suck with transitions. The deli staff will make other grocery deli staff look like little leaguers (or the Chicago Cubs) A pound of turkey, pound of chicken breast, pound of cheese, sliced bagged and stickered in the time it takes for the other deli I frequent to cut the cheese. The meat counter in back has anything you need in terms of meats. Preformed burger patties, steaks, chicken breasts, whatever. Just add fire and you got dinner. The store layout is simple enough to navigate, and the staff have always been friendly. Which just makes sticking it to the man and his evil corporation all the more satisfying.... man. read more

We heard about the quality of the meat in the butcher area and since we were down in Naperville doing some shopping we stopped by Casey's. We are so glad we did - we bought their homemade breakfast sausages, beef brisket, and flank steak. The breakfast sausages were delicious -they had a great flavor and seasoning. They were larger than 'regular' store-bought sausages so they did not dry out and stayed quite juicy. When we got the Flank steak, the butcher asked us if we were going to marinate it, we said we were so he scored the steak for us. We brought it home, made the marinade and let it sit and grilled it the next day. It was an excellent cut. The brisket was amazing - easily it was the best cut of brisket we have EVER bought. We slow cooked it on our smoker and it turned out great due to the perfect trimming and amount of intra-muscular fat. We're a fan and we'll be back! read more

I love this place for its deli, that has Boars Head meats, and their butcher counter. Their produce section is lagging, but they make up for it with the quality of the products throughout the store. They do have, that I like, a nice little area with pre-cut fruits. Also they have certain vegetables bundled together so you dont have to buy a whole package of celery or parsley. These change, so it just depends on what is available. It's a "grab your number" kind of place, but they are speedy. On the weekends they have about 15 people or more behind the counter. I really enjoy that they have a quick deli frozen section. Also some prepackaged frozen meats from their counter, such as frozen turkey bratwurst and sausage. The best part about it is that its not an evil corporation, like Walmart. Support small business! read more

Kodos to Casey's in Naperville for being honest when informing their customers when an employee became infected with Covid19. They closed the store so to have a deep cleaning performed. Top notch butcher shop! It reminds me of the ones that used to be the norm in the old days. A great variety of fresh meat, premade options and a friendly, knowledgeable full staff of real butchers. I live about 20 minutes away but try to come here 2-3 times a year for special occasion food. I typically get the French steak rolls and twice baked bacon and cheddar potatoes. We stopped in yesterday for New Year's food and once again they didn't disappoint! I've also picked up bread, cookies, veggies and random canned goods on occasion. Their regular grocery prices are a bit higher than a standard grocery store so it's not somewhere I'd go for my weekly shopping. read more

Talk about great customer service, Casey's definitely has that. I drove all the way from Elgin to get the stuffed chicken breasts that my wife loves. Upon arrival, there was a note on the door stating that the store was closed and only doing curbside service. I was stunned. I love this place. It's small, personal and has some awesome products. The produce here, always fresh. Best cucumbers I've ever had come from this place. They're crisp, cool and full of life. I love it. Not to mention, you can get ground lamb from this place. Those are just two of the examples of unique and amazing produce and deli products they have. My parents generally only use cheese and meat acquired from their deli, these days. Edit: I forgot to mention. This is the only place I know of where you can get Amato's Tomatoes Salsa. This is my go-to place for steaks. All of their meat is of good quality and fair prices. Yes, it is a bit more pricey than the larger stores in the area but the quality is worth it. Also, the seafood selection is worth checking out. For general grocery shopping, I've found what I need but it is a smaller store so you don't get the options you'll find at other places. I don't shop here as often as I'd like because of the location but when I'm in need of a good steak, this is the place. read more

If a company doesn't have a product don't advertise it or let the costumer know they DON'T have the product so they have the option to cancel their order!!! I find the staff -- particularly the butchers -- to be rude and who make no attempt at being friendly. Yes, everyone in Naperville seems to love Casey's, and yes, their meat is top quality, but their grocery prices are sky high and of course, there is the unfriendly staff. Ok. I just walked out of Casey's smiling, literally! First of all, the improvements and lighting made in the store are beautiful! The produce and meat was perfect and they had what I needed. The poor guys at the meat counter hears every time from me how I don't like to cook, and they always give me good ideas. Ordering meat and cheese from the deli kiosk is a life changer since you don't have to wait in line and tell them one item at a time. I have been shopping at Casey's for as long as they have been here, in the beginning just for meats and produce. I realized how much I looked forward to my visits to the store with it's warm and friendly staff, and over time, a very short time, Casey's became my go to grocery store. You see, people buy from people, and to be recognized and appreciated as a regular, and to be on a first name basis with many on the staff makes grocery shopping so much more than a task that must be completed every Saturday. It is a weekly visit with old friends and exchanging pleasantries with the other regular Casey's customers. I stopped going to the big chains when there was never an ounce of recognition from anyone in those stores, and the robotic, forced recitation by the checkout person "do you need help out to your car with that?" and "thank you Mr. ______, usually mispronouncing my not so unusual name. Where's the love, I ask? At Casey's, the quality of all of the fresh items (produce, deli and bakery, meats and seafood) its always tops. Take one look and it is obvious that there is great pride in presenting the products, The folks in produce have raised presentation to an art form. The meat counter with its knowledgeable staff and dizzying choice of meats and seafood is finer than any I have experienced. Get to know these guys...you will be rewarded with cuts of meat that they themselves would proudly bring home for dinner. And the deli...always a busy spot in the store, but oh so efficient and there is that art of presentation again. Looking good!
