This bank demonstrates a clear lack of professionalism and proper guidance from this bank. From the beginning, I asked for clear information regarding the requirements to open my son's account and specifically inquired about acceptable forms of identification. I was informed that either a driver's license and ID or a passport would be acceptable. Later, the representative stated that a driver's license and ID were sufficient, and then changed the information by saying the account could not be opened because both documents have the same identification number, which is completely normal and expected. Instead of offering a simple solution--such as requesting the passport to properly complete the process--the representative left the matter unresolved and a letter was sent stating that they were unable to identify him, despite the fact that my son has a Social Security number, state ID, driver's license, and passport. This situation reflects a lack of consistency, professionalism, and willingness to properly assist the customer. read more

We made an appointment to meet with a banker to open a new checking and savings account. They maintained good social distancing and overall had a very low number of people in the bank. The banker was courteous and explained everything carefully as we selected the type of accounts to open. However, there are a few issues and that's the reason for the 2-star only rating. 1) Though we made an appointment, the banker was late and we we left standing in the lobby, which isn't helpful in this time of social distancing. The banker didn't even apologize for being late - so that's not appreciated. 2) The banker was helping us with account opening at the banking window, which to me makes no sense when there are other banking stalls around the office which would have been a better place to do this and to also not be constantly next to other banking customers coming in and out. Something needs to be changed to improve and to also provide service in a more private and safe place instead of using a banking window for such a service. read more

Opened a business account and Chase recommended ACH protection, which we approved. Chase never notified us, as they were supposed to, about pending ACH requests, and even ones that we approved were blocked anyway, so all ACH transfers got munged. Only after we cancelled the service, did a bunch of notification texts about the ACH transfers finally come through, but we could no longer see any pending or blocked ACH status at all, since we had turned the service off (all history of them were wiped). It is not this branch problem. It is online chase. I set up my monthly mortgage payment. After my mortgage told me my payment is non paid. I log in and found out chase automatically delete all my future schedule mortgage statement without letting me know. They don't have right to do it, and they should let customer know if they did it. Horrible Horrible HORRIBLE! Do not come here. Service sucks and Janet or Janice whatever the manager on duty lady was is literally no help. Called and asked for a notary, this location is the closest one to me. I usually go down the way or by my work, but since my mom (chase holder) and mother in law (non chase holder) needed a notary she said she could do it for my mom, not my mother in law. As I was told by a few branches, as long as a non chase holder comes in w/ a chase account holder they can notarize the documents. Chase telephone services also provided this information based on their policies. I asked for her manager and above, she said this conversation wasn't getting anywhere and HUNG UP! Chase! Lemme start off by saying that the Duchess of this place is a total FAKE! This person came in and literally checked in about 70 times within days at ALL the locations in the area. Fake yelpers seriously piss me off. Anywho... the branch itself is pretty good with customer service. They're supposed to close at 6 but they stay open an extra 10-15 mins for people who rush to make it because they understand that someone of us dont get outta work until 5 or later. I was very grateful for this when I lost my debit card and was running on nothin but cash a few weeks ago. One thing you might want to be careful with: I've heard this place has been robbed a few times now. Be aware of your surroundings. I live by harder rd and always go to the branch on Jackson. I was in southland mall today and went in to deposit a check. I was greeted with a smile which never happens in Jackson branch. Umm this place had several mouse running around it. The poor old lady that was there ran out of the room that she was in/ consulting with the banker and started screaming because it ran across her feet; she even left her shoes and purse in that room. Then like 5 mins later you see the little mouse run across the floor to the other side of the room. I felt so bad for the lady. My husband and I have been discussing of late the poor customer service even from some of the banks we have an account with. It was so surprising then that when we entered Chase Bank in this location to acquire some assistance with a payment of a credit card, the response from one of the staff (failed to get her name) was so swift. The process went by quickly and we were out of there in just a few minutes. In other words, they attended to us despite the fact that we did not have a direct account with them, that they understood perfectly what we wanted and referred us to the right person to complete the transaction. There was none of the endless questions that led to nowhere and that would normally leave us feeling frustrated and wondering why we even bothered to consult with them in the first place. Yesterday, I went into Chase Bank at the Southland Mall branch. I wanted to order new checks. In the past, I was not charged any fees. However, the minimum amount for free checks changed, and I was treated very disrespectfully by two employees because according to them I should have known better or even asked questions. If a customer has to ask any questions, or is not informed prior to any changes, then Chase Corporation has failed their customers!!!!! Furthermore, I sat in an office having someone explain the new requirements for free checks and feeling somehow that I failed to have knowledge and I honestly wanted to pull all my accounts out of there. Customer Service is not part of their agenda and treating senior citizens who have been customers for many years obviously is not important to this branch. So, if anyone has any problems, please yelp them as well and maybe things will turn around for the better. I went in to see if I can open an account because I had chase in the past, but didn't close it correctly. I was sure that I had a balance due (just not how much), but was told to come in to speak with someone in person. I visited today and was Helped by Latisha Thierry, she started off very friendly, being that I was coming in to open a new account. she then found me in the system and said I had no balance until something popped up, so she called to make sure.. all in all there was a small balance, that I couldn't take care of at the moment.. She proceeded to hang up the phone and blatantly said "he's not going to pay it, so never mind. She hung up the phone and didn't say anything to me while I was still seated until I said.."okay, so who should I come back to when I'm ready..?" she replied: "you said you weren't going to pay it.
