Planned a 16-18 person dinner and had to find something that would not only accommodate our large-ish party but also the many different preferences and restrictions in our group. So thankful this place was close to MSU and could accommodate everything mentioned above and also (!) had a full bar. Everything everyone ordered came out in a quick manner and everyone kept thanking me for making a reservation here because there was something for every one and the food was great. I went with family to this place for dinner. The menu looked interesting with burgers, sushi, pad Thai, chicken tikka masala and so much more. I got the olive burger and split a yummy crunch roll. The sushi was fine if you like big rolls, especially deep fried rolls. The burger was decent. I didn't care for the fries because they had Parmesan cheese and were too salty. The service was...odd. We got appetizers and drinks and entrees and the server never cleared the empty plates and the table got so crowded. My mom ordered a spicy California roll but he brought spicy tuna. He didn't charge us for the desserts. We asked for water and chop sticks and it seemed like it took forever to get them. The food wasn't good enough to excuse the service. I have eaten here several times with friends and the food is always good. I've had one of the best burgers here! And a really good grilled cheese sandwich. I lived the pork tacos, but they are no longer on the menu. I plan to return to try more of the sandwiches. read more

We had reservations and were seated outside. Our waitress was really nice. The menu is humongous and has a ton of variety (Sushi, burgers, an Indian dish, salads, and bar food). I didn't look at the drink menu since I didn't drink, but I'm sure that's big too. Long story short, I highly recommend the Bison Mountain Burger! It was everything I expected. I would just ask for a side of ketchup, ranch, or mayo as it was a little on the dry side but I would still get this again. Their fries are AMAZING if you love garlic. So tasty. In my opinion, it may be the best "low key" classy bar restaurant around. Food is exceptional. Staff is always friendly and prompt. Very good drinks. My only negative response would be that I wish they would go back to making the old fashion behind the bar instead of making them ready to serve. The Queso with Chips was mediocre as the queso wasn't very cheesy, so I wouldn't say I'd pay $9 for it again, but the other menu items make up for that. The Hibachi Grill with steak was delicious. I'm a huge hibachi lover, but I've only ever ordered it at Japanese steakhouses, and frankly, I was pleasantly surprised with how good Cask & Co's was! Also, our waitress (who I sadly cannot recall their name) was very kind and patient while we indecisively looked at the menu. She was knowledgeable of the menu and was attentive throughout the meal. Unsure why this place has such high ratings. Food was mediocre. Salmon sashimi was almost tough, not that buttery melt-in-your-mouth feeling it should have. It was fine. The Front Dip Roll was... the weirdest roll I've ever encountered. Sliced into 4 large chunks, where not a single bite gets you all the fillings. Very weird. Tiny wasabi portions. It was also fine. Burger was fine, nothing special. The fries (Parmesan?) were good. The vibe of this place seems to be trying hard to be like a bar you might find in downtown Grand Rapids. It's super loud, like very loud, and the clientele was very mixed -- old people, children, college kids. Our waitress was super nice and did a great job! Front of house staff disorganized and not very welcoming. All of the above combined with the fact you basically MUST reserve a table at least 6 hours ahead of time, I know I won't be back. Second chances are good! First time I went I ordered a salad and chose steak as a protein choice. It was a well assembled salad and enjoyed it but the steak was way overcooked as was others in our party. Cask & Co. was a convenient choice for a party of 8 on a second occasion. I'm very pleased to say all 8 of us had a great time and everyone was happy. None of us had duplicate entrees either. It's a win in the Cask & Co. column. I'll be back for a third time. Today was our first experience and the food was exceptional. Pad Thai, Pho, Sushi, and flatbreads were all amazing. Craft beer selection on tap were also great. Would have given five stars if it wasn't for our poor waitress who was waiting on an entire side of the restaurant all by herself. She did an amazing job but a restaurant this good shouldn't be so short staffed. Will come again and hope they have a bigger crew. read more

Twice in a row, wings were delivered without the ordered seasoning. Fries are soggy, burnt, or strangely soggy and burnt. When we called to request a correction, the manager blatantly lied. Our friend has been recommended this place for a long time. We don't live in the area anymore, but have been meaning to check it out when we visit. Finally made it in tonight with my mom. The place was packed, both Cask and Co and the Front 43. We sat on the bar side, which was more relaxed, lively and noisy. We split the edamame with salt and garlic, a sushi roll and pad Thai with shrimp. Everything was amazing! The house wine was great too. All of this for under $50. Staff was amazing despite their business and we did not wait long for our food. They're weekly specials were amazing, don't miss this gem!! read more

Service was awesome/food great! Now we were all there because our grandson goes to MICHIGAN STATE for parents weekend. We arrive and the huge screened tv had U of M game. Asked a few times to at least turn on States game. After waiting finally it was changed to various small TVS you could barely see in the 2nd qtr! Since moving to Lansing about a year ago, Cask and Co has been a steadfast go-to. I love that there is a little something for everyone. Picky eater? No problem, get a burger. Good vegetarian options, several nice entrees. The drink menu is the same. You want a specialty cocktail, you've come to the right place, or get a Miller Lite. I especially love the atmosphere which for me is a great mix of sports bar, fusion restaurant. I was presently surprised to find this spot with a wide array of menu options and when I saw their sushi offers, I went for it! The spicy tuna was amazing. The spice had a stronger kick than expected with a flavorful composition of tastes to mix with. My wife went for a tofu roll and that was equally as good.
