My dad is actually buried here, so technically I have an inside source. I asked him what he thought about the place. No complaints so far. Five stars from Dad. Tough critic, too. Hasn't complained about anything in years. The place itself is immaculate. Beautiful landscaping, peaceful surroundings, perfectly maintained grounds. Honestly, Dad has better real estate than some people paying $4,000 a month in Los Angeles and his landlord hasn't raised the rent once. Talk about a quiet neighborhood. No loud music. No barking dogs. No neighbors arguing over parking. Nobody firing up a leaf blower at 7:03 Saturday morning. Just absolute silence. Finally, a community where everyone understands the assignment. Security seems excellent too. Dad has been here awhile and hasn't had a single Amazon package stolen. The clientele is incredibly diverse. Doctors, lawyers, teachers, grandparents, probably somebody who once called about your car's extended warranty. Forest Lawn accepts people from every walk of life. Eventually. And talk about customer retention. Once Forest Lawn gets a customer, they almost NEVER lose one. Netflix would kill for that retention rate. There's also no pressure to socialize. Nobody asks what you do for a living. Nobody discusses politics. Nobody corners you for 45 minutes explaining cryptocurrency. The nightlife, however, needs serious work. Absolutely DEAD. I tried asking around for recommendations, but everyone completely ghosted me. Including Dad. Rude. I drove all the way over here. The funeral home may want to have someone better trained or more knowledgeable handling phone calls, as first impressions and communication are incredibly important during such a sensitive time. We've also left several voicemails and were told by other staff members that someone would call us back, but we never received a single return call. It's especially unfortunate because we wanted to use this funeral home since the cemetery is in Monrovia, making it a convenient option for our family. However, due to the lack of communication and poor customer service, we've decided to look elsewhere. I've always liked visiting Mountain View because how beautiful it is especially being so close to the mountains I think Mountain View represents the community ideally Elizabeth helped me last month after my mother passed away. She was professional, kind, caring, and followed up on every detail. I can't see enough about how professionally she was and at the same time how much concern she had for our well-being. She also has great knowledge of the cemetery and I enjoyed our conversations. during one of my visits last month I had problems located my grandparents burial site and I had several maintenance people take time to offer to help me find their gravesite. Everyone who works here, cares about the cemetery and seems to take pride in maintaining it. Mountain View has a small town feel about it, unlike some of the larger corporate cemeteries in Southern California. I cannot recommend it enough.

It seems as if everything we talked to her about wasn't executed correctly or at all. They only she did was communicate to the cemetery. My father just passed away i. Mother's Day. A veteran and religious Christian man. They could even provide me with all the correct info for my dad's military honors. I had to search and call 4 different places and people to get my dad's firing volley to find out it was at the veterans cemetery in Riverside. All she had to do is ask if they had availability. Then on the day of our viewing with my dad we were robbed of our personal time with my dad because the sound and tv system wasn't working. They asked me to provide an MP4 video in a usb. We spent 2 hours trying to figure out what to do to pay my dad's memorial video. I then had to buy my own projector and Bluetooth speaker for this. The on-site coordinator/ director didn't know or do anything to help us. He also didn't stop people f coming in to the room for our 1 hour personal time with him. He also took it upon himself to open the floor up for people to speak against our wishes to do things different. He also made me feel weird by asking him to communicate with the cemetery about a gift someone was giving us (flying doves) he said he's never heard of such things. He did nothing for us and the whole thing was jacked up. They don't care. When I communicate this to a manager she sent it to the owners and all they said was they will look into it and the director will get retraining. They robbed us of our special time and this place is a mess!! Don't do it! They just want your money. I've been to other places that are way better!

It pains my heart that my mother is buried in this horrible cemetery. From the moment she was…read moreburied here, it has been nothing but problems. They lie about what is included in your funeral package and try to squeeze any other extra dollar out of you. On more than one occasion, they have damaged my mother's headstone with their gardening machinery. Around the inner edges of the cemetery, along the walls it looks like a dump site with running stinking water running through. They regularly do not adhere to their own decoration and flower pick up schedule. Several times they have removed all the decorations ahead of schedule, with no regard to how much money people spend on their decorations. The least they could do is put a notice online to let people know if they are picking up ahead of schedule. If you complain, they will direct you to their booklet that says they are a private business and reserve the right to do whatever they want. Make sure you get every single detail in writing. Their contracts are intentionally misleading.
