I never once felt rushed, confused, or alone during an incredibly emotional time. It pains my heart that my mother is buried in this horrible cemetery. From the moment she was buried here, it has been nothing but problems. They lie about what is included in your funeral package and try to squeeze any other extra dollar out of you. On more than one occasion, they have damaged my mother's headstone with their gardening machinery. Around the inner edges of the cemetery, along the walls it looks like a dump site with running stinking water running through. They regularly do not adhere to their own decoration and flower pick up schedule. Several times they have removed all the decorations ahead of schedule, with no regard to how much money people spend on their decorations. The least they could do is put a notice online to let people know if they are picking up ahead of schedule. If you complain, they will direct you to their booklet that says they are a private business and reserve the right to do whatever they want. Make sure you get every single detail in writing. Their contracts are intentionally misleading. read more

i went to see my neighbor and his wife grave 6-28-26 and was i very disappointed to see damage to his head stone. it looks like some idiot they hired to clean the head stones etched it with some kind of acid it was almost unreadable. seems they were trying to dress up a cemetery that has been around since 1884. so i looked at some other grave stones ans i found one that was complete erased except the date. people you do not want to put your loved ones at this cemetery as if you been in the ground for 50 years they have no interest in maintaining your grave. you do not want to leave your loved ones here folks for me to remove this they will have to replace his head stone with a new readable headstone. read more

Absolutely Disrespectful and Unprofessional If I could give this cemetery zero stars, I would. I never thought I'd have to write a negative review about a cemetery, of all places--but the level of unprofessionalism and outright lack of compassion from the staff here is truly shocking. Today, the cemetery removed grave decorations a full day earlier than scheduled. What's worse? They gave no notice to families--not a sign, not an email, nothing. My family came to visit our mother's grave and found our Day of the Dead decorations amd flowers gone, without explanation. Other families around were as shocked and upset to find the same situation with their loved one's grave decorations and flowers. When my family expressed our concern and heartbreak over this (rightfully upset) the staff's response was completely unacceptable. Instead of offering a sincere apology or taking accountability, they smugly and rudely stated that they are a private business and can do what they want. No empathy, no understanding--just cold, condescending replies as if grieving families were an inconvenience to them. A cemetery should be a place of respect, remembrance, and dignity--not a business that treats mourning families with disdain. The staff here clearly lack the professionalism and basic human decency expected in this line of work. To anyone considering this cemetery for a loved one: think twice. I really hope management here takes this complaint seriously. Turner & Stevens / Dignity Memorial needs to start ACTIVELY ENFORCING the rules that are clearly posted outside the gates, especially on weekends and holidays. In the last 5-10 years it has really been slipping. Unregulated Large Groups Far too often, you see large groups taking over entire sections of the cemetery -- setting up huge canopies, tables, chairs, coolers, and food as if this were a picnic or party. They stay for hours, sprawled out across multiple plots, completely disregarding the posted regulations. I've watched security patrol cars drive right by without stopping or saying a word. I can't imagine how it would feel for someone to drive a long distance to visit their loved one and find a loud, sprawling group blocking, eating, sitting on, or trampling their loved one's grave. This is not a backyard or a public park -- it's sacred ground where families have paid dearly to give their loved ones peace and dignity. It's painful to see management turn a blind eye to such blatant disrespect. Loud Music and Disruption Then there's the music. On weekends especially, visitors drive in blasting obnoxious, disruptive music from their cars -- windows down or park with doors open, volume at full blast. Others bring portable speakers and play music graveside. It's loud, jarring, and the opposite of what this place should represent. Worse yet, there are even mariachis that frequently roam the southwest section, going from family to family soliciting songs. I say this as a Mexican-American who loves and respects my culture--but there's a time and place for everything, and this isn't it. Some people may enjoy it, and that's fine, but others--like myself and my family-- come here to sit in quiet reflection and connection, not to have ANY type of music forced on us. And this is even happening while there are funerals going on! This isn't a restaurant or a party. It's sacred ground. And when you're sitting at your loved one's grave, trying to find a little peace, the last thing you want is to have that peace interrupted by unsolicited music echoing across the cemetery. Please, Do Better This is supposed to be a place of remembrance and respect. While different cultures may have their own meaningful ways of honoring loved ones -- even vibrant, celebratory ones -- many families come here simply to mourn, to talk, to pray, to feel close to the people they've lost. Instead, we're too often surrounded by noise, chaos, and a total disregard for the sanctity of these grounds. I sincerely hope Dignity Memorial and Turner & Stevens take this seriously and begin actively patrolling and ENFORCING their own rules- not just waiting until someone calls and complains. We deserve a cemetery where our loved ones can truly rest in peace -- and where those visiting them can find the quiet dignity we were promised. read more

It's frustrating to be asked for details only to be ignored, especially when the issue involves the care of a loved one's resting place. The space looks the same if not worse. read more

We stopped by the cemetery today on our way back home to Northern California and didn't want to delay the long journey by requesting assistance at the gravesites of my parents. We left the flowers, in honor of their birthdays, laying on the headstones since we were unable to remove the vases while we were there. A phone call and assistance from Jessica was all it took and she sent a photo to show that the flowers were properly placed and nicely arranged within 30 minutes of my request. I can't fault them for our difficulties in removing the vases as it has been more than a year since we were able to visit. The staff was extremely helpful and professional during the time of my mother's death 4 years ago during the Covid pandemic and lockdown, too. So comforting that my parents' headstones match despite the 61 years difference in their deaths. read more

Few issues here, most of my wife's family is buried here which is why my mother in law is buried here. The biggest issue is, that we had some items that they were to give us after the funeral (supposed to ship to us or given at the time of the funeral) such as a copy of the slide show, the keepsakes, etc. We had to go into the office to check on the status of it, because it had been a couple weeks and we still hadn't received them. Once we went in then they made the file of the slide show and handed us the pictures. 2nd issue, they harass you during your mourning to buy additional plots for other members of the family, once you buy one they just drop you like you don't even matter. All they want is their damn money, I understand that these kind of places are for sheer profits but the harassment is not acceptable, then when you have questions and try to call them back they don't respond. Well guess what, my stepmother was looking for her plot and my father's plot for the event of their passing, and I told them "Do Not Use Turner & Stevens" and we got their plots elsewhere. Finally, For the last almost month I have been trying to have my brother in laws vase reinstalled at his site, because somebody stole it. They have opened the work order supposedly and it was supposed to take 7-10 business days for them to put it in and yet after almost 1 month of waiting its still not there. I've followed up with them several times over the last month and was told it would be in last week for sure. Still no vase. 1 star is a lot for how they run this place. It is a beautiful place but SHITTY how they run it. They give you a copy of their policies and rules but they don't follow their own rules. Clean up days are on Thursdays so we make sure to go pick up decorations by Wednesday morning or Wednesday night the latest. So to my surprise I get there Wednesday morning and all of my grandmothers stuff is GONE! Including a Virgin Mary statue, like why would they throw that away? It's beyond disrespectful at this point. You should feel comfortable visiting your loved ones but this place doesn't make you feel that at all! They don't respect their own polices and they should be ashamed of the new supervisor that they hired she is extremely rude and disrespectful. My dad's remains (ashes) have been there for over 10 months, yet the plaque has not been placed on the stone yet. They put a "rush" on it in January, and when we inquired last week they said they had it, but had ordered the wrong size. They should have updated us on this! Last Friday we went the gravesite and found that our Granddparents plot was eroded by the rain, their headstone (plaque) had dropped several inches and there was a big hole at the foot of the grave. We reported this, and they seemed concerned, as someone could hurt themselves with the hole there, but today (1 week later!) nothing has been done about it! They say it takes 10-13 days to fix something like this. That is outrageous. read more

Horrible and unprofessional services. They don't care about the people who are buried, it's just business to them, obviosuly. They constantly are cleaning up decorations when there is a PRINT OUT of what day is clean up day and it also clearly says that artifical flowers stay up for 3 months. Tell me why they are not following the schedule? They also have a new supervisor and didn't let anyone know about this or that things would change. Clean ups are THURSDAYS, not Wednesdays, not any other day. Why did we see our decorations removed today, Wednesday? The gardeners said that they were told by new supervisor to clean up and that supervisor and team "we do what we want" That's beyond unprofessional and heartless. We were also told A YEAR AGO that we would have a floral pot installed and we are still waiting. They say we still owe money for it. We absolutely do not. Our flowers are always getting stolen. Management doesn't do anything. I truly believe someone is stealing them for resale. It happens too often. It's disrespectful and a crime to steal from the dead and to us the family it's a slap in the face when we come and find that our loved one's resting place has been vandalized. I'm tired of seen my wife crying because she feels so mad because her dad's flowers got robbed. She goes almost every day and still she finds her dads flowers gone. One time she put them on a Thursday evening almost at closing time and she went back on Friday morning and the flowers were gone she asked the groundskeeper and he said he didn't see anything when he got there in the morning, so they must have gotten stolen in the night before closing time . there is no one to ask or complain nothing. Some people see it as weird to visit cemeteries but I love all the artwork. I search for the historic parts of the cemetery where all the old tombstones with beautiful carvings and statues are located. This cemetery has a small old historic section and it's well maintained. read more

This review is long overdue. We had multiple deaths in the family in 2021: my godmother and mother passed a month apart from each other. There were a few hiccups with other staff who assisted my aunts with my godmother's funeral... However, I had a much more pleasant experience. The counselor who stood out amongst the staff who helped my family was Kerrie Gorman. She was beyond exceptional! She made the whole process appear seamless and always made sure she answered all of our questions. I remember she had a scheduled day off, but she also told me that she didn't mind me calling if I needed anything else or had other questions. She even followed up with a letter thanking us for allowing her to assist us with mom's funeral planning. Fast forward to now...a few years after, we needed to obtain receipts so that my father could be reimbursed for funeral expenses. I reached out to Kerrie, and I got a copy of the receipt in less than 20 mins. Her promptness is very much appreciated! read more

I know this place is called Diginity but what it really should be called is Disgraceful. In my mom's final days she went here to to get her after life plans in order. She went with the aunt and my brother. She worked with Maria from this company. Maria proceeded to sell her a plot and headstone. We found out after my mom passed that the spot she picked wasn't the spot given. They completely bait and swithced her. It was obvious that Maria had no idea where the plots were located when she was selling them. When it came to the headstone, my mom had provided her with all the details of what she wanted. After the funeral was over, they hadnt kept a copy of anything and we had to go back to provide them the information again. This place has no level of organization at all. No one knows what they are doing. When it came to the funeral service we worked with Miriam. She was unable to give us any information on questions we asked and often left us sitting in the meeting room for a total amount of time of 1.5 hours. My father who was having trouble withy mom passing shouldn't have been forced to sit and wait around while Maria and Miriam figured out how to do their jobs. When it came to the offering of packages for the service Miriam really wanted us to get a package and when we asked what the package included or the cost she had no idea. When she stated it would be a discount if we went with it we asked show us the discount couldn't do that. Basic math skills was definitely a problem. As I mentioned before Disgraceful. When it came to the casket my mom had picked one out but they had no record of her selection. We had to pick one out. My mom wanted a sunset service. Maria advised it wasn't possible. Come out find out after that it was. When asking about a sound system for the service, they said they had one but it was broke. Come to find out they never had one. Did I forget to mention this place is disgraceful. While waiting around for Miriam to do what she needed to do, Maria thought it was an appropriate time for a sales pitch for the family for us to try and buy a plot. My aunt was interested on the initial visit with my mom but after she complety got it wrong on the location my aunt was no longer interested. Maria let the room know there was a spot next to my mom that was available if we wanted to take it from someone else who had previously put a hold on the spot. Obviously we were grieving is it really the best time for a sales.. Also it's sad that they strip people holds to offer it to other people. This is probably what happened to my mom's original selection on her location. My mom completely hated her middle name and never wanted it included with anything. We had made sure to let them know that don't include it in the obituary. Well what do you think they did....included it in on everything. They even had a sign by the gravesight that included it which luckily was removed after our request. How does a buisness operate like this. My mom would never have gave this company a dollar if she knew this would be how it turned out. We may look into seeking legal guidance to see what options we have for this experience. This company is a complete sham that takes advantage of families in there darkest hours. This is why this company should be renamed to Disgraceful. read more

Nobody is ever in a good mindset when they have to make funeral arrangements. I was my families gofer to gather information for my uncle who was on Hospice. I called in to get pricing and was directed to a very kind lady. I was surprised to find out all the details it takes to plan a funeral, but she took about 40 minutes to make sure I understood the process. I set an appointment for the next day and accompanied my aunt. Our representative turned out to be the manager, Aja. She was very informative and made us feel at ease. My aunt decided to select the Mausoleum. A couple days later Tio Tony passed away. It took a few days for us to set an appointment, but it was a good thing because we were sleep deprived from being there for my uncle. I tend to agree with another review concerning this place as being a party spot on weekends. I went last Sunday to place some flowers on a friend's site and could not believe how many people there were spreading out tarps (covering other graves) and playing loud music. There were numerous people drinking beer, although signs are posted against it. Also letting children run around unattended or supervised. Some kids were seen trying to lift some smaller grave markers which I discovered were from the 1920's There were no security people anywhere to be found. I realize that some cultures believe in partying non stop but this is totally unacceptable in civilized society. In contrast. the Asian remembrance section of this cemetery was totally devoid of "party goers". It was as the whole cemetery should be: quiet and respectful. No question in my mind which cultures are the more civilized. I'd rather be cremated and scattered than have a--holes drinking, partying and peeing near my grave. read more

We were referred to this cemetery by a friend. Once my mother was in hospice my sister and I went to make arrangements for my mother's funeral. We worked with Tanya and she was extremely helpful with the whole process. We came up with a package that worked for us and made arrangements for the actual funeral day. Once my mother passed they made the process extremely easy. As a family we decided to use the chapel for my mother's services and everything was planned perfect. The staff was very accommodating and the services moved smoothly. After a few months my sister and I went back to purchase my mother's tombstone and we worked with Sonia and Aja. They were awesome and made the processes move quickly. They mentioned that the tombstone could take up to 6-10 weeks. However, My mother's tombstone came in within 6 weeks and it was beautiful! I did not choose Turner and Stevens. My daughter got it started, she was drunk and they told her to come back. I am the grandmother and I had to work with his wife to bury my grandson. I called a friend who is part of a big mortuary company in Pasadena. He referred me to a grave site dealer. First I paid for the grave but I let his widow pick it. Then we had to plan the funeral. The flowers. The casket. I wasn't aware of everything that was going on I was just trying to keep it together to bury my boy. So the man who helped us plan the funeral was good. The trouble for me started when I saw what they had done to him. He had long beautiful eye lashes. I saw that when they glued his eyes shut they smashed his lashes against his eyelids. I saw that when the fingerprinted him it left the tips of his fingers to look like paddles. His hair was heavily sprayed and he never ever wore his hair like that. I asked for him to be shaved to the goatee, so there were two different growths of beard, one from when he was alive and the second when the skin receeded, Finally he was white and they put some horrible weird brown makeup on him. I was so furious but I was grieving, They did the worse preparation of a body that I have ever seen. Even a gun suicide was made to look sorta lifelike. My poor boy deserved better than the horror show that done to him. There is no excuse for the ineptness of the work. They could have done better. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Now I am afraid to order to memorial for his grave. I am afraid they will screw that up too. I have been FURIOUS when I visit and I see the care takers having driven over rows and rows of makers, leaving tread marks on countless graves. I feel their graves are being disrespected and that nobody care. They water the grass in the back, but weeks and ugly grass grows on my boys grave. I hate that place.
