This brewery & restaurant was a delight to visit and so glad I gave it a try. I needed some dinner a few days ago so decided to stop in on a Friday night. The place is beautiful with high ceilings and gives a spacious airy vibe thats laid back. There are also some Maryland flags hanging tastefully, nice touch. I sat at the bar and was quickly greeted by a very nice bartender. I started off with the Hike the Alps Hefeweizen and it was exactly the kind of hefe I like, hoppy, flavorful and definitely not bitter. Excellent beer! I also had their noodle salad dish and this was surprisingly very good. Very light, with lots of spinach and veggies and it was tasty with no guilt! I next wanted to try either their Potomac Punch or Georgia Ave beers, and was torn about the two, so the bartender let me taste both. The Georgia Ave beer is a peach sour, and since its only Spring and not yet stifling hot, a sour wasnt going to work for me just yet. I tried the Potomac Punch and this was fantastic, its an American wheat beer and you could taste the fruity notes, so very good! I didnt want a full 16 oz, so opted for a 5 oz. pour. Everything about this place was lovely! You will definitely find me coming back here again! And its cool they have a bunch of tables outside, would love to come back here, have a beer and shoot the breeze with my DMV peeps! Denizens gets five plus stars from me!

Ive never been here on a weekend day. Its also great to support a business where the entire staff are deaf. I didnt figure this out until after a few visits and each time, the person pouring my draft was using sign language and reading my lips to help me. Beers have always been good. This time I had a JRA, which is a hoppy lager and very good. Mom had a fancy cola. It would be fun if they did a happy hour too. There's always a burger food truck parked here, but have never tried it. We sat outside, soaked up the sun like two lizards, had good conversation and enjoyed the beautiful day. Id definitely come back again when in the area.

I've been self-teaching myself sign language, and having the opportunity to come here and get some real one-on-one interaction and practice has been incredible. It's one thing to study on your own, but being able to engage in person in such a welcoming, supportive environment has been absolutely amazing. That kind of experience is rare -- and so appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxed, inclusive, and genuinely warm. The outdoor space is spacious and perfect for soaking up the sun, and we love that food trucks rotate through -- it makes every visit feel a little different. And Magnolia (our mini dachshund) is clearly a fan too. She was stretched out in the sunshine, completely relaxed, soaking it all in like she owned the place. Watching her sprawl out and enjoy herself just added to the whole experience. Great beer, great people, great vibes. We'll definitely keep coming back.

TL;DR: $8 for a few onion slices! I've been a Pizzeria…read moreParadiso customer for 20 years, first at the Dupont and Georgetown locations. So I was thrilled when one opened up in Hyattsville, not far from where I live. My partner and I have been there many times over the past few years and have always enjoyed it. But we were flabbergasted by our most recent experience. The food is as good as it ever was, but the value just isn't there. We were in on a Wednesday night and noticed a table sign for a special: two large pies and two appetizers for $60, so we ordered that. We each had one drink as well, and split a dessert. The bill came to over double that amount! We have paid less when eating in fine dining establishments. Why was our bill so high? Two main reasons: first because the upcharge for an additional topping is $4 each. I would expect that for fancy meat or cheese, but we only added red onion slices. Onions are one of the cheapest things in the supermarket, and $8 will buy a lot of onions. But I guess that's on us for not noticing that all additional toppings are the same (high!) price. Also, PP automatically adds a 20% charge in lieu of a tip. I have mixed feelings about that (and about the increases in tip culture in general). Our service was fine but not exceptional. Sadly, we will think hard before returning to PP. There are many other good pizza places out there.

I spent less than $50 for four drinks and one appetizer (pic of receipt attached). The drinks were decent ... wayyy too sweet for my taste buttt decent liquor ratio. Our service was mediocre. The little girls on staff today apparently didn't think a table full of women were worth their time/energy/effort. Ended up going to the bar for our first round because our patience finally skipped town. The bartender was pleasant and speedy. MAYBE this is a true neighborhood establishment and they knew we weren't locals. NOT fair because our money is also green buttt message received ... they ain't gotta worry about us anymore. Admittedly, I'm a little jaded because of the poor service buttt all I remember is dark, dank and dingy. Next time I'm depressed and want discretion ... nope, let me stop lying ... I'll prolly still look for another spot to drown my sorrows in. #SorryNotSorry

I ordered a biscuit with jam, a chocolate chip pecan cookie, and donut for my daughter. I only went for a quick treat but they were placing out some fresh made sandwiches that looked good. The cookie was delicious and had a slight salty flavor that complemented it well. The biscuit was good too but tasted healthy. I would order it again. I would revisit Manifest Bread to try more of their menu items. The service was great, there was room to sit inside and there's a dedicated parking lot. The sweet potato/chili/pistachio bialy is quite a creation, really like it, zings big time. I've never seen that flavor combo in a bialy before and hope they keep making it. The gingerbread with meyer lemon glaze has a very deep ginger flavor that's quite memorable. Not as keen about the breads. The community sandwich loaf is too plain for me and the sourdough breads are tame.
