Being able to enjoy unlimited, freshly prepared seafood without sacrificing quality is amazing. The grouper was absolutely delicious, fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful, and the Firecracker Shrimp were outstanding with the perfect spicy kick. Even though the price per person is on the higher side, it is completely worth it for the quality, variety, and overall experience. I also want to highlight the team working at the different stations they are so nice and ready to help right away. Food was good as always but we missed the Scallops and Lobster... disappointed a lot those were pulled from the menu, at 127/person I think they could have kept scallops on the menu. Because of the name change (from the Seafood Buffet) we had thought this placed no longer existed. I had tried to find it last year and all I saw was that it was permanently closed. This year I was able to find it under the new name and was thrilled. Everything was delicious, even the wasabi paste tasted better than at your average sushi place. We tried almost everything offered and nothing was disappointing, except a couple of the desserts. But the snowball (chocolate flourless back of cake covered in whipped cream) was incredible. Fine selection of raw shellfish (plump West Coast Oysters, Dungeness crab legs, shrimp), complemented by stations offering poke, sushi, sashimi, cooked/fried/grilled seafood, carving (not a fan of the wild boar...), wide dessert selection. Covers all the bases that you would expect (unless you're expecting East Coast lobster). Parmesan crusted salmon might come across as a bit salty, but that's the Parmesan. Service was excellent, with servers doubling as busters. Nick gave us the rundown on what to try and kept coming by. I think the small serving plates reduce waste and encourage you to get up and move around. Nice low lighting let the fireplaces by the tables provide the ambiance. Cast & Cut is just ok, and not worth the $127 price tag for adults. The seafood didn't taste particularly fresh or high quality; the oysters and sashimi were particularly disappointing. Nothing tasted or smelled off, mind you, just mostly mediocre. The crab legs, scallops, and poke station were the best of the seafood options. As others have noted, the Parmesan crusted salmon is badly over salted, and I found it overcooked as well. The best dishes I had, ironically for a seafood-focused destination, were the pheasant with hatch chili polenta and the bison Wellington. As if the seafood weren't disappointing enough, my $20 cocktail also arrived with way too many small/thin ice cubes, so it was just a few minutes before it was badly watered down. I have shared most of this feedback with Deer Valley, with no response from them yet. For a resort that puts so much emphasis on customer service, this is a disappointment. I used to love their old Seafood Buffet but this iteration of it misses the mark. read more

Had an absolutely divine experience here! My family and I have been going to the seafood buffet for years when we visit from New York, so glad to see it thriving again with a new name. Chele was our waitress and she was so attentive, kind and overall fabulous! The raw bar was so amazing with unlimited fresh oysters, shrimp and crab. There is a sushi station with poke bowls and the fish was so fresh!! The chefs at each station created special dishes that were out of this world. My family and I will be coming back!! read more

Should be named Cut and Run. Located in the Snow Park Lodge, this new addition to the Deer Valley high-end culinary scene missed the mark in several areas. It all started with the Vodka Martini that was ordered straight up with olives. Even implementing the archaic Utah law permitting no more than a 1 1/2 ounce pour, it tasted like it had more water than Vodka. After summoning the server back two more times to have the bartender fix the problem, even ordering a different brand of Vodka didn't work. The shishito peppers with black bean aioli was the only highlight in an evening filled with lowlights. The next course was the steakhouse wedge that had good flavor, but was swimming in a deep pool of dressing. The restaurant was far from capacity, yet we waited over 30 mins between the salads and entrees. During the delay, we were able to observe the food runners all come out at the same time in an effort to serve all entrees at once. That would typically be a nice touch, but after they served the table several would just stand around in the middle of the restaurant looking lost and confused about what to do next. Meanwhile, our server removed the soupy remains of the salads, but did not replace one of our forks and failed to bring a knife for one entree. In a restaurant that strives to be known as 5 star and high-end, that small touch is important to get right. The Coup De Grace was the salmon. The description offered by the server should have been a clue to the nightmare that we faced. A bone-in salmon cooked medium rare, said no one ever, until this evening. It arrived sitting in a pool of shimmering oil and had the appearance of a thick pork chop. The concerning appearance was exceeded by the undercooked oily fishy flavor. When we reported our dissatisfaction to the server, and that we would just split the decent chicken entree, he quickly returned to tell us the 'chef was insisting' that he give it another shot. Knowing it was unfixable, we declined. And finally then there are the ridiculously high prices for the entrees and wine. As just a few examples, the slimy salmon dish is $50, an 8 oz. filet is $98, and a 2017 bottle of Silver Oak (that retails for $125) was a stunningly marked up $440. Really ?? The manager did come to the table at the end of the debacle. We provided hopefully constructive feedback and he removed the inedible salmon and an additional 20% off the bill. Even with that, the remaining entree, appetizer, two salads, and the water flavored martinis set us back $170. read more

We went last night (12-09-20230) and WOW! Having a huge appetite even I didn't get through all the food stations - each one tended by professional chefs and continually stocked with king crab legs, Maryland crab cakes (all crab), jumbo firecracker shrimp, jumbo peel and eat with a variety of sauces, Angus beef tacos, even a carving station of prime rib or leg of elk with mashed potatoes and choice of gravies. Those are the things I ate. Let's not forget the plethora of desserts. I had the strawberry shortcake and the Carrot cake. There is a salad station, a poke and fish taco station, a raw bar including oysters, and I really can't remember because there was something available and fresh for every one. I cannot recommend this more highly. We own a restaurant in Park City and this is BY FAR the best restaurant in Summit County, maybe all of Utah. read more

We had a great family dinner. There were seven of us on December 28 while we were in town for the holidays. Billy was our server along with his helpers to serve us. We chose three different steak offerings and had them served family-style. Everything came out just as we had requested, cook temp, sliced and delicious. No waits with the buffet style. We had a seat by the fire and set back from the rest of the dining room which gave a big space a private feel. Our server was attentive, helpful, and engaging. The seafood and raw bar were fresh and delicious. The cuts of bacon wrapped tenderloin and melted Parmesan scallop and shrimp pasta were two standouts, but everything was exactly what you would expect for the price. Would recommend! read more

Ski lodge dungeon is the only way to describe the atmosphere in this restaurant. Most of our overpriced entrees came out overcooked and took over an hour after we ordered despite having maybe 10% of the restaurant being occupied. They did take some of the entrees off the bill but overall we were super disappointed. read more

Absolutely loved it! No it's not Seafood Buffet it's Cast and Cut which brings a less busy environment but cozy none the less. The tower appetizer was amazing! And the rolls are so good. My husband had the Foie Gras and loved it. There were 6 of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. The worst meal ever ! Chowder was good the rest was not ! Steak was cooked in fake butter that u would put on popcorn at movie theatre! After not eating two entrees not even more than a bite the check was not altered at all -not to mention the cost. Butter rolls were rock hard -avoid this restaurant ! And it looks like the rest of population in park city hates it too -very few patrons-there were maybe 5 tables occupied and when asked if they are busy she said christmas and new yrs! What a delightful meal! 5 of us enjoyed the delicious seafood tower to begin, all super fresh lobster crab shrimp and oysters. We moved on to try equally delicious cuts of meat, savory and delicious. Our lone vegetarian eater was equally wowed by the creamy potato gratin, and vegetable sides. This is specifically for NYE 2023, and I typically hate specific reviews but I think this is helpful if you are considering paying for an event here. My BF, my GF and I paid for the highest tier package available for NYE. Dinner was great, the concert with the Spazmatics was sparsely attended but we made the best of it. We went to a specific bartender for drinks several times and tipped him well after paying for the highest tier available this evening, everything going great right? No, I get a guy in a grey suit and glasses threatening to kick me out because I don't have the right wrist band to order from the same bar tender I've been ordering from all night. So in summary, you can buy the highest package available, be gracious, tip well? And some guy can threaten to kick you out. Felt the need to post this because it was so egregious. I waited tables for 5 years putting myself though college, so I know how hard food service can be. read more
